Terrible communication and do NOT recommend
On April 28th we had them at a rental property to check drains, HVAC unit, and water heater before new tenants moved in. They missed a drain so had to come back which resulted in us being charged a second time for a technician to go out to the house. Then there is the HVAC system....on April 28th we were told that the unit was good to go and the pressure test was good. On May 10th we had the line from the exterior unit to the interior unit completely frozen and melting into our attic. When the owner came to look at the unit the following day they asked my husband to come to the house to discuss the multiple problems with the unit. We went from “good to go” to multiple problems with the unit in a matter of less than 2 weeks. The owner of the company admitted that the technician that serviced our HCVAC system LACKED the knowledge to notice the multiple problems with the unit yet we were charged for this service. Again, we went from being told on the 28th that our unit was “good to go” to the entire unit being completely replaced on May 12th with new tenants moving in on May 15th. Instead of having 2 weeks to fix the problem we now have 2 days. When we are told that Jay Young himself would call by 10 am with a quote this did not happen instead the front desk called at 10:40 am and we never heard back from Jay Young. Once we had the quote sent to us we had questions and never received a return phone call from Jay Young to answer these questions. Since we still have NOT heard back from Jay Young we went with another company to replace our unit. This has put us in a terrible spot with new renters which has not made a good first impression on us.
Needless to say the technicians do not call you directly, the tech calls the front desk who then calls you which inevitably results in poor communication by the time the information gets around to the customer. Then if you have problems or questions you call the front desk who then has to call and explain things to the technician which again leads to something not being fully communicated correctly. Basically a bad case of the game Telephone from childhood except this is real life when it matters.

This was one of the best home maintenance experiences I have ever had. Chris M was very professional and friendly. She provided suggestions for future HVAC needs but was not pushy. I highly suggest and recommend Armstrong! Stan also did some plumbing work for me and did a great job. The repair was above and beyond expectations. Much better than the original install. Bill did repairs on the toilets, which I had plumbing problems in October. Bill made 3 trips. Come close to having sewer line replaced but Bill suggested to run a camera to see what's wrong. Leak Tech came out Bill wanted to be here to see what was going on with the sewer line. Sure enough it was damaged in alley.
He knows his job & has great knowledge. Great job Bill.
And thank you Connie for the phone tag we did on this crazy issues with the City.

I had them come out over Thanksgiving break (I understood and extra charge for holiday) , which was great, and after a hearty fee they got my heater working again. The guy never came inside to check the thermostat. I had to call him back a few days later and they charged me $100 to push a button on my thermostat to get it to decently work.
Fast forward to now...my air conditioner wouldn't come on. I called the usual company I use. They found out that the guy didn't connect all the wires correctly, some weren't connected at all and it was a complete mess! And that he set my thermostat up incorrectly (for that extra 100 bucks). the company that fixed it didn't even charge me labor for having to come and fix the problem with ANOTHER company!
