Took care of heater same morning! Very friendly and helpful!

Robert and I hired Armstrong to install new heating and air equipment. We contacted the company solely because of their reputation for excellent quality of work; and, here are five reasons why we would hire them again:
1. Expert evaluation and HVAC design:
Robert Duncan, Armstrong’s HVAC professional, designed the system for a balanced supply and return, which means we now experience similar temperatures throughout each room.
Mr. Duncan also considered the homes construction and my mold sensitivities. Therefore, his design altered the air pressures slightly positive to avoid possible contaminants from the crawlspace, which increased the quality of air. After the installation, I breathe better because of less inflammation in my sinuses.
Robert Duncan took the needed time to work with our insurance company, which saved us thousands of dollars on the cost of the unit. Our old HVAC was contaminated after we experience a roof leak, and our insurance failed to address the interior water damage immediately. As a result, the water damage (now in the form of mold) irreversibly damaged the unit. Mr. Duncan communicated the details of the old unit’s structure to the insurance agent, which helped our adjuster determine coverage.
2. Workers installed the HVAC system according to specifications:
The crew that installed our system followed the design specifications. In other words, the HVAC works as intended.
3. The employees communicated details:
My husband and I asked the workers many questions about the installation, and every worker mindfully answered each question with no hesitation or attitude. Because the crew members took the time to help educate us about the installation, we can now discern the difference between a proper and not so proper installation. For this reason, we felt empowered to evaluate the installation ourselves.
4. The installers understood and valued the integrity of the connections:
On the supply side (where the air comes out of the registers), crew members ensured that the duct connections were adequately air sealed, which means that we get the most efficiency out of the equipment, and our first lower monthly bill provided the needed support.
On the return side (where the air goes back to the inside unit), the workers also ensured that the duct connections were adequately air sealed, which is observable through less dust throughout our home.
The staff assured that the soldered connections inside and outside do not leak; therefore, the air temperature stays constant in our house.
5. Armstrong’s commitment:
Within days of the installation, Lennox email us the equipment warranty certificate, which provided us with peace of mind that the equipment was registered correctly.
Armstrong said that they would record the apparatus and they did, which shows that from the start of the project until the end of the project —Armstrong delivered.

Bought a brand new AC unit for the shop about 3 years ago. Every time the heat would hit in may or june...it would not work. Spent 1,400 of freon because it 'leaked due to vibration' about a year ago. Same problem now and another $1,400. Lemon unit or installers that do not know how to install.

Joe did wonderful work for us!!!! We also allied for a bid for canned lights and some dimmer switches installed, he provided us with a bid that we are happy with and will be scheduling for soon. He also let us know about your maintenance programs for plumbing, electrical and HVAC which we will be signing up for too!!!! Thank you Joe for making Armstrong a business we feel comfortable using for all the above needs!!!!

Ron, the HVAC Technician and all the other Technicians that we have had are just the Best!!!!! As well as the office staff, always friendly and helpful. We’re moving and we’ve appreciated EVERYONE at Armstrong!!!!!!! I was with a friend when Armstrong came by to assess the air conditioner. Carlos Moreno didn't just assess, but fixed the issue really quickly and efficiently. He was really nice and even took the time to explain exactly what the issue was. 5/5 would call them for my house.

We had a water leak problem and some friends referred this company to us. Turns out to be a nightmare! They wasted our time because they were missing our appointments without even call ahead and it took forever to actually fix the leak after running in several collateral issues due to the fact that they did not know what they were doing. We ended up paying a very expensive bill to them and to the city for all the water wasted because of them. I will never call them again!

I'd give Pake 5 stars. He was very calm and friendly. He went about my service in a very professional manner. I also appreciate the fact that he made friends with our dog immediately.

We have used Armstrong since 2006 when they installed our new HVAC system. They have always treated us fairly and came at convenient times and on time. The technician who worked on our drain issues didn’t stop until he figured out the problem. He also told us what to look for if this became an ongoing issue, what we would be facing. I’ve never been dissatisfied with their service. Alton is a rock star!

Annual maintenance performed by Tim. Excellent service. Tim arrived exactly on time and performed necessary services promptly, including changing batteries for our carbon monoxide detector. We have been on the annual maintenance program for years and always receive prompt, courteous and efficient service from this fine company.

Repair to A/C was done quickly. Tech was knowledgeable, helpful and friendly.

I called to ask about how much replacing a circuit board on my heater would cost. They claimed they wouldn’t know until they come out. The website claims “free estimates with no obligations” but it’s apparently still $86 to get your free estimate. This company is just a bunch of scammers. They apologize over the phone for not clearly stating that their estimates still cost $86, but they still charge you anyway with a smile. Dirty scumbag business.

Domingo was very professional and immediately found the problem with my non-functioning air conditioner. He fixed it in less than one hour and was kind and compassionate in the process.

Isaac Delagarza did the fall inspection under my Prepaid Service Contract today. He did a very good job, was courteous and gave a detailed explanation when he was finished. I recommend him highly.

AM is closed over weekend. AM responded to phone call within 40 minutes on Monday morning. Service tech was polite, identified the problem part needed with explanation of defect, and part price options for it, and payment payment steps.

A friend recommended Armstrong and we have been very pleased with them! I really appreciate getting a text with our technician’s photo and background when he was on the way. Also that we got a phone call, the text and an email letting us know he was coming.

In addition, I got a text from Armstrong over the weekend letting us know that our call was received and gave advice of how to keep the house cooler for the weekend until they could get out on Monday.

Everyone has been very helpful and responsive! We will continue to skip our home warranty and utilize Armstrong first!!

I would prefer that the technician wear feet covering on their boots when they enter the house. I would have liked to have known they were running late with a cursory call. I was told I was going to be the first appointment after lunch. After lunch is 12:30 not getting here at 2:00. He also needs to travel with multiple filters so that he doesn't have to go pick a replacement filter at the store and return.

We had another company come out to look at our plumbing, because the kitchen sink was not properly draining. That company said that it looks like we have a collapsed drain pipe and that it would cost in the range of $2,500 to $4,000 to fix. A week later I was working in the back yard and took some things to the dumpster to throw away and ran into another plumber that worked for the company that claimed we had a “collapsed pipe”. He was throwing away concrete from a house down the street that supposedly had a “collapsed drain pipe”. He also said that there are several houses in our neighborhood with the same issue. That seemed very suspicious. Since we couldn’t afford to fix the pipe right away we went several months without using our kitchen.
I finally called Armstrong and had them come out to look at it. They were very professional and pleasant. They ran a plumbing snake with a camera and found out that it wasn’t a “collapsed pipe” it was rust and clogged. It cost $89 to fix. From now on they will be the only plumbers that we use! They’re honest and know how to get the job done right!

Isaac and Joe were very thorough, professional, and helpful. They worked all day to replace our water heater, installing it in a different area and cutting vents in the roof as well. They explained how to maintain and use the system very well. Would definitely recommend and use again.

We made an appointment to have our kitchen sink fixed as it is leaking to the point of being unusable. When we called they said it would be a couple of days out so we assumed they were just really busy and accepted that. After waiting on them for the entire 4 hour window that they provided us yesterday, they never showed. They never called to tell us that they wouldn't make it either. Today we called assuming that we'd be seen this morning for being blown off yesterday - of course not. We may or may not be seen after 4 this afternoon. We will never be using Armstrong again. They obviously do not care about their customers.

Ron quickly discovered the issue with my AC. Always dependable, conscientious, and professional.

Chris was thoughtful, friendly, polite and thorough. She corrected a problem we were not aware of before it became an even bigger and more costly concern.

We have always received the best service from Armstrong. We are on the annual maintenance contract and have our air conditioning and heating serviced each year. We receive prompt, reliable service and never have to worry about our units. We always receive courteous, reliable technicians who give us dependable, reliable service. This company is great in every respect.

This place is terrible. I used to use them for both air conditioning and plumbing. They are the most expensive and probably the biggest plumber business in town. they have a huge turnover rate for workers all trying to start their own business or leave. I sunk so much money into this place to get my air conditioner and toilets and showers replaced on my house. They were all done poorly, cost a lot, and had follow up problems from the poor installation by bad technicians. Don't use this place, terrible, horrible, mind maddening. Get use to making complaint calls.

Would highly recommend Armstrong Heating, Air and Plumbing. Our service technician Mario S. was extremely professional and courteous. He addressed our main problem and was able to fix it in a very timely manner. He answered all of my questions and then was able to diagnose and fix several other issues we were having. I will not hesitate to call them again for any problems or routine maintenance that we may have with our heating, air or plumbing. I would like to let management know that they have an excellent employee in Mario S. and he should be recognized and commended for a job well done.

After installing our unit less than four years aft following a house fire, we’ve had to have Armstrong come back at least once a year to fix it. This summer, we’re currently at the end of week 2 with no working unit p, even after having a technician working on it for an entire day (after showing up nearly an hour later than we were told and having to come back for a second time in the same day). We keep being told that they are going to call back but at 7:30 on a Friday evening And no call back (though we were told to expect a call at 2), we realize we will have another weekend without air in our home despite the 90+ degree temperatures outside. A unit less than four-years-old shouldn’t cause this much trouble. We were also charged for services last year that were covered under warranty. We have NOT been impressed by Armstrong at any point and would not recommend their services at all!

GOOD JOB

Late on a Sunday night, they were able to repair problem quickly in the heat of summer. Life savers!!! Ron is a great service man and very pleasant especially doing emergency work.

Glen was prompt to come when he said he would be there. He assessed the problem and proceeded to find the source, making suggestions about further actions. He examined the sewer system from the roof , once with the camera. He was very specific to me about what had happened to cause the back-up. Excellent job.

We have used Armstrong Mechanical for both plumbing and AC work. We came back from a trip and our AC was blowing warm air. Called Armstrong on Tuesday. The window for our appointment was 1 -5 pm so we had a warm night. The technician, Ron Murdock came at 4:49 and stayed until he completed the job. What wonderful service is that?! We purchased their continuing service plan. Armstrong Mechanical is a good place for AC and Plumbing. I would highly recommend them.

Jeremy did a great job installing our new faucets handling a leak in the bathroom when installing the faucet. The kitchen faucet was installed also in great shape. Jeremy always makes sure everything from under the sinks were replaced since he used a blue reinforced blanket to cover under the sink to work on. In mid-June our decrepit HVAC system was on its last legs and the ductwork was shot. Armstrong Mechanical came out on top of several quotes. We got a top rated Lennox system, completely new ductwork, and blown insulation at a very reasonable price. Armstrong completely replaced the 3 foot plenum, which is the stack over the blower unit that connects to the attic ductwork. Some companies just slide a new blower unit in and connect it to the original plenum which can be caked with years of dirt. Armstrong installed duct elbows over raised rafters and dampers in the ducts. Both improve the airflow. Armstrong also put in all new boots, the metal sleeve that joins the air vent grate to the ducting. The installation techs cleaned the air intake vents embedded in the foundation using an extended vacuum hose. We had a glitch a couple of weeks after installation arising from Lubbock's changeover to ERCOT. Armstrong sent someone over within a couple of hours of our phone call. They installed a surge protector at no cost to us under our service contract. Armstrong Mechanical's Comfort Specialist David T and their service techs were wonderful to work with. They were very friendly, helpful, and patiently explained things. The installation was done carefully and efficiently. The service techs kept the areas they worked in clean. We strongly endorse Armstrong Mechanical and Lennox. If you need a new HVAC system or air conditioning/heater servicing, then you Better Call Armstrong!

Arrived when they said they would and took the time to make sure everything was working correctly. Couldn't ask for better.

Mario and Matt arrived EARLIER than expected to repair our clogged kitchen sink. Mario worked the 75 foot roto-router into the clogged pipe, which gradually opened up. Quite a dirty mess in the double sink, but contained to just the sinks, thanks to his expertise! Removed the machine, cleaned up everything in about an hour.

There was quite a reasonable charge for their work. They also offered good advice for keeping the pipe clear beside what we already did with the disposal: run HOT SOAPY water through from time to time.

We are very pleased with Mario and Matt's service!

My technician was on top of things. He got old water heater drained while going to pick up new one and had it installed and working in short order. We have used Armstrong for years and always get quick reliable service with a smile!

They do a great job of showing up and presenting me with options. They see the problem and know exactly how to fix the issue. Their cost is on the high end relative to their higher quality of products and services. Saving money on repairs will end up biting you back.

The text message with photo and a little personal info is different but definitely a good idea! The people at Armstrong are an awesome group. Carlos M. was the first person I dealt with, he came to check my air conditioning (it was broke). Carlos did all he could just no luck. Then he sent David T. to discuss with me my options. David was very helpful in helping me decide what was best for my home. Then came the crew: Josh & Rey and Colten & Tim. Took them a while but they got the job done. My air conditioning is back to working , better than it did before I had a problem. All of these gentlemen did a very awesome job, all very professional, very pleasant. And they left no mess behind. Would I recommend Armstrong to anyone else? You better believe it! We have ALWAYS had very positive experiences with Armstrong Plumbing, and wouldn’t consider using anyone else for any of our plumbing, air or electric needs.

Jared was professional and really helped us out at our shop. He gave plenty of helpful tips and suggestions. Most importantly our a/c is back to working. I will be using them for any future repairs.

Armstrong does not Honor their word. They received pictures of rust and debris and were told to inspect our unit. They came saying it wasn't rusted and it's West Texas it's supposed to be dirty! They admitted to not thoroughly inspecting unit because an unprofessional 3rd party told them not to!! Why would you risk that?? I know others have had problems with them also. They told me they would meet me half way on repairs and are now have taken that back and left me stranded. They do not care about customer service. They also call others and use your name against you. I wouldn't send anyone there!

Had a guy come out to my home to get a quote then weeks later was told I couldn’t get a quote because the guy is too busy.

Why was he able to come out in the first place? How do they run a business where they can’t give quotes?

So I guess if you are looking for a plumber, don’t even try to contact them because they aren’t giving quotes for the rest of the year.

I went to them because they have WAY more reviews than any other plumber in Lubbock, so where are they getting all these customers to review if they can’t even take new orders?

The reviews are all probably FAKE, notice how most of these people on here have only 1 review. Google reviews usually has more reviews than yelp, but google has 40x the number of reviews for Armstrong. They only have 4 on their yelp page which just doesn’t scale to all other businesses

Way too expensive for the 45 minutes they were there!! Put holes in the drain pan. They were mad when I told them it was unacceptable and asked them to fix it. The fix was to caulk the holes and use pliers to bend the pan .

Isaac came to do our maintenance program that we have with Armstrong Mechanical.
Isaac was very efficient and took the time to find the cause of the odor that comes out from our unit that was installed in 2014. We are hoping this time that the problem is resolved! Isaac did a great job, and Armstrong should be thankful to have such a dedicated professional. Great job Isaac!

The guys are always polite above all. After inspecting it, they gave me the estimate and, if accepted, offered to begin immediately. Someone else delivered the water heater so the guys at my house could continue draining and removing the old one. They also always clean up after the work, even to the point of wiping the floor down with a cloth. Just a good experience all the way around.

I cannot say enough good things about Armstrong. They have done a LOT of work at my house. They did a new sewer line, new shower water lines, set new toilets, and just today a complete HVAC system. They were right in the middle of my estimates, but I got so much more bang for my bucks. My grandfather was a plumber for 40+ years and oversaw what they did today. Every step of the way, he would come tell me how great of a job they were doing, and how these guys were the best he's ever seen. He shook every guys hand here today and said they did a very professional job and what great work they did. To a plumber from the old school, you can take his word for it. Nothing here was done half way. They didn't like how the gas lines were run before, so they took them back to the wall and ran new cut offs and soldered everything brand new, AT NO EXTRA COST. These guys are the best in town. I researched for months from every major competitor in Lubbock. Lowery, BTAC, Comfort Masters, Phil Kerr... Those guys can't even TOUCH what Armstrong does. You can look no further and fully trust they have your best interest in mind.

This gentleman came to our rescue and installed a shower faucet cartridge that we had started following manufacturer's (Moen) instructions on YouTube. Video showed how to replace a new cartridge into new valve/pipes. Our cartridge had not been changed in the 9 years we have lived here and was very corroded with West Texas water deposits and we quickly realized we were in over our heads with this project. Employee was very pleasant to work with and very neat in what he did. Completed the job very quickly (<30 minutes) as he knew just what unique Moen tool he needed and how to do the job. Highly recommend Armstrong plumbing and this employee in particular.

On March 23 @10am I had meeting with you salesmen about a whole home standby generator. He came out and looked at where I wanted to install the system. I indicated that I had been told that your company needed my email to receive the quote. I started receiving advertisements before he came out. He indicated that he could not send me a quote, he had to meet with me again. I never received the quote, brand of system, warrant information.
I wonder how you stayed in business. I do not have time to waste on a company that does not tell the truth about why you need my email or time to meet again when I gave your salesmen all the information he needed. He did however tell I should USE His private email to contact him. Does he work for himself or Armstrong.

Great service, knowledgable technician, good value. Armstrong’s processes from scheduling to invoicing are very efficient. The work is alway done right.

I had to call them out on a Sunday because one of our outdoor faucets broke and we had to shut the water off. I tried to fix it myself, but my solderwork wasnt up to snuff. I finally gave in and called them in, within about 20 minutes of getting here he had removed my attempt at a patch, dug around it deeper to cut off the scarred end, extended the pipe and soldered it all back together. He was very professional, nice, and quick. I am so thankful to him for coming out. And the base quote is literally half of one of their competitors, which was nice.

Only tiny complaint was that the audio quality of the phones when talking to their dispatch made it hard to hear sometimes. Otherwise I’m entirely happy.

Finally spoke to someone today about resolving issues.

The technician that came to my house failed to tell me that they do not install units on mobil homes. Therefore wasted my time and money because, my service call went from $80 to $180. They took two weeks to get back with me to schedule someone to come give me options for a new unit. When I did schedule an appointment for that they called me back to tell me they don't work with mobil homes. They could of told me this from the beginning and I could of saved my time and money.

Prompt, efficient, and hard working. First, Robert spent almost 2 hours at our house (at no charge) inspecting old our system, figuring out the best way to replace it, and providing a full quote . Then, Colton, Mark, and Rey were able to fix our duct work, remove our old AC/Heating system, and replace and install the brand new system in just 1 1/2 days.

Stan assisted me with clearing my lines 4 or 5 years ago and remembered me and my house and had the job done in less than 20 min. My household now has running water and all is well with the world. No trying to up-sell me or tell me all the sewer lines needed replacement just honesty, friendly, respect and competence and for THAT I thank you kindly.

Very prompt and helpful on a Sunday when I was having a difficult time getting anyone to come out to my home for an urgent plumbing problem. Good customer service. The person answering the phone made several calls to keep me updated before the plumber arrived. The plumber fixed my problem in a timely manner. Was not rushed and stayed to answer questions even on the weekend.

Routine service on annual contract. ( Young man, NATE new nothing about how to fix our problem). He left and another technician, Isaac Hernandez came. He fixed the problem in just over one hour. Isaac was very efficient and neat with his work. Very Knowledgeable and friendly. Completed his work while here.

Friday afternoon emergency! Sewage is backing up into the building due to a clogged pipe. One call to Armstrong. They came within an hour, expertly diagnosed the problem, solved it and returned us to normal in no time. I could not be happier with them!

My home must be nearly 70 years old. All the sinks and faucets are no longer made. But Oscar and the Armstrong family in under 3hrs fixed my leaking sink and cleaned the drain. They provided reasonable prices for future repairs. I can work with these guys.

Stacey has been AMAZING on helping get our system fixed. He has been patient with me (you get frustrated when it's hot). He took the time to communicate all issues with me and educate me on our system. I appreciate the time he put in to not just our repairs, but to also talk us through what was actually going on with the system and what it takes to get it to where it will operate properly. It's been a challenge, but he did get it taken care of!

We use Armstrong Mechanical for both plumbing and HVAC maintenance. Darin was our service technician today and was very professional and efficient. We are very happy with the HVAC maintenance service we received today.

I've been doing business with Armstrong for 7 years. They have been progressively getting worse with customer service and work. I called and scheduled 2 sets of plumbers to do TWO different jobs at 2 different rent houses. They were supposed to be here at 1, but didn't show up until 3:30.. Then sat in their van for 30 min. Came in the first house and decided they didn't have time to install the toilet, so they wanted to give me a quote and reschedule. I got the distinct impression they didn't want to work since it was so late. I asked where the other set of plumbers were to install the kitchen sink 2 doors down. They didn't know anything about it, but they could install the sink. So let's think about that... They don't have time to install a toilet, but have time to do a complete kitchen sink, faucet and disposal? Well, they got in there and decided they didn't have time to do the sink, but they could now install the toilet!?!?! By this time it was 4:30. I told them to leave, they were lazy and didn't want to do anything! I'm very sad that every time I ask for a certain plumber or AC guy, they no longer work there after being employed since I started using Armstrong. Today was the last straw, I'll be looking for a new plumbing and AC service.

I listed all of the services we have used over the years. Three generations of our family have used Armstrong and I highly recommend them to anyone who wants to be treated fairly and professionally!

They were on time and were very professional doing the scheduled maintenance on the air conditioners that are under contract with them. We have used them for years. He also adjusted the shower light that was not closing tightly. He adjusted the soap dispenser by the kitchen faucet.

They arrive way early than the arranged time despite the very cold,winter weather. They inspected the water heater and electrical system thoroughly. recommended options and they got right to fix/replaced what was needed. They called the electrician and he came right away. Thus the 5 hours work was done immediately within 4 hours. They also gave us education on proper maintenance and safety. The price was within the expected amount.

Hunter was very thorough in explaining the issue with one HVAC and giving an approximate amount of time to get it fixed. Then he proceeded to go the extra mile in getting another HVAC repaired. Very pleased with the service.

I had a punctured gas line in my backyard. Armstrong guy came out Saturday morning to fix it. Follow up appointment on Monday revealed another hole in the pipe and Armstrong guys were able to fix it same day. I really appreciate the speed and service of all the guys who came and worked on this problem! Very professional, explained everything to me as we went along, and resolved it quickly!

The response to the request was in three hours during an over 100 degrees day. David checked everything, restarted the system and we were cooling again. He replaced a part that was the root of the problem. We like their service so much we got on their annual maintenance service plan.

Armstrong Mechanical promptly returned my call. Carlos came out, reviewed the problem, went over the charges then got to work. John and I are pleased with Carlos, his professional demeanor, and his knowledge of the problem with our heat pump.

Joe replaced our leaky outdoor faucet (sweated) with a new threaded one. He was even thoughtful enough to leave room on the pipe outside the siding in case we ever need to switch it out in the future. Very professional and did good work.

Josh Murphy was our technician. He first came out for a possible gas leak this past weekend. Very professional and had the answers to all of our questions. After finding no gas leak (thank goodness) we inquired about a water recirculation system that would help us to get warm water quicker. We were told by a different plumbing company that there was nothing that could be done about it. When I asked Josh, he immediately gave me two options. Long story short, he just left and we now have almost instant warm water throughout the house! Thank you, Josh! We will be calling you for any and all plumbing needs in the future.

Coming from a place where customer service is key, this is a very poor example. We were promised a call back and fix day after day for over a week now. We have had no ac and minimal heat for days with 2 young asthmatic kids, which they knew. They kept putting me off on others and wanting different people to come out. They went as far as calling people behind our back and using our name negatively to pass the blame onto others. Offered to pay partially after realizing they were at some fault and once we accepted that, they said that offer is no longer on the table. They do not back the customer or care about their work. Their employees don't even stay long. I would recommend almost anyone over them. Sad you can't find honest help anymore.

I am really writing to say is, I want to work for your company.In1979 I had a Journeyman plumbing license and we would install A/C it was just a yellow paper license.Then THE STATE OF TEXAS mailed us plumbers a plastic license that we would hang on the button of our work shirt .I lost my license in 1996.Yet I can still install Freon lines silver solder if needed install duct vents, all size of duct grills etc. just whatever the work load is I can do it. I have a son arriving from Florida hopefully to be a part of your Armstrong Mech. team, he is a real good A/C mechanic too. I will be going by your office this Monday 2/17/2014 to apply in person you can use this review article to do a back ground check on me any time, see ya'll Monday.

This was one of the best home maintenance experiences I have ever had. Chris M was very professional and friendly. She provided suggestions for future HVAC needs but was not pushy. I highly suggest and recommend Armstrong! Stan also did some plumbing work for me and did a great job. The repair was above and beyond expectations. Much better than the original install.
