He came in ON TIME. Punctual. Calm. Professional demeanor. Respectable and Respectful, both. -- My sink had been leaking profusely underneath, for quite some time. I tried to have my son fix it, he couldn't. I looked at it, seemed simple --- wouldn't didn't stop pouring out the drain pipe. He came in, simple fix (for him) and was in and out. I paid his whole fee, plus a tip. -- I didn't pay him for how easy/how quick it was (for him) -- I paid him because I tried to fix it and couldn't do it; I paid him because he provided professional peace of mind. I'll be using him again if we have another leaky problem.

Called after my sump pump suddenly started making loud noises. Spiro came out the next day, diagnosed the problem, and corrected it within minutes, then performed a test to ensure it was working properly. He could have easily told me it needed to be replaced and charged me 10x what he did, but only charged me for the visit. I appreciate the honesty and will only use Empire going forward. Thank you!

This review isn’t for Abbott Brothers’ plumbing services, because I wasn’t able to actually get a plumber to my house. I made an online appointment for Friday and immediately got a confirmation that someone would come look at a possible sewer gas leak from 12-2 PM. I waited until 3 PM before calling the company because no one arrived or contacted me. The office didn’t provide me with a reason as to why no one showed up or why I wasn’t contacted. Instead, they said someone would be in contact with me shortly. I received a text a few hours later asking if Sunday between 9-11 AM worked. I agreed. Unfortunately, 11 AM passed and the same thing happened — no one showed up or called. Not sure what happened, but 2 no show/no calls is highly unprofessional. If you know you’re not coming, have the decency to call so people can make other plans or use another business. Obviously, after two chances, I won’t be using Abbott Brothers again.

Modern Plumbing is the way to go for a new hot water heater. Brian was super responsive, answered all of my questions, quoted us the best price of the multiple companies I received estimates from, and was able to get us scheduled for installation in the timeframe we requested. Joe and Sam arrived a few minutes early on installation day and were the definition of professional. They were done within 2 hours and left the area cleaner than it was when they arrived. I had moved our clothes dryer out of the way prior to their arrival and they even moved back into place for me. Next time I need plumbing services, Brian will be my first call.
