We were experiencing a problem with our hot water heater that needed to be replaced and after multiple discussions hired Modern Plumbing Systems for the project and couldn't be more pleased. Sam arrived on time and immediately went to work in a very professional and efficient manner. The first thing he did was to carefully cover the entire flooring area being impacted. I had several questions for Sam and he was extremely courteous, thorough and patient with his responses to each and every one. Sam performed the entire job efficiently and with much attention to detail and care. I was extremely impressed with the results. The new Hot water heater not only performs well, but, the manner in which it was installed is so neat, expertly implemented and is so attractive that I've actually been showing it off to family and friends!

Joe and Sam did an excellent job installing our new gas water heater. They explained everything well and were very professional. They got it done in 2 hours and left the area clean afterwards. They waited about 10-15 minutes after it was filled and running to make sure everything was working properly and there were no water or gas leaks. Brian was the nicest plumber I have ever met! Not that I have anything against plumbers, I just never felt that anyone cares this much. Most plumbing companies are always trying to upsell us, but these guys just listened to my problems, and repaired them. I would HIGHLY recommend them for water heaters especially.

When our 10-yr-old, 80-gallon water heater failed, Brian immediately gave us several replacement options -- even providing web links to product pages and YouTube videos to help us make the decision that was best for us. When we advised Brian that our old water heater was situated in a precarious location (in a subbasement, through a floor access & down a narrow ladderwell), he quickly dispatched Sam and Joe to assess the situation. Sharp fellas, those two -- professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. When they arrived and saw the challenge they were up against, they were able to draw upon their past experiences working in other cramped spots and presented us with various removal + replacement options. We arrived at a plan of attack that was perfectly suited to our unique needs. Brian got our new equipment ordered and delivered without delay. The three of them worked together like a well-oiled machine to install our new water heater and ensured that all sinks, showers, and toilets were fully-functional before gathering their tools and cleaning up behind themselves. I used Modern Day to fix a water and gas leak. They fixed the water leak and the gas leak was a problem that required the replacement of the control unit. Brian, the owner, suggested that I call the manufacturer and provided all the information I would need. As a result, I got my whole water heater replaced for free. He fixed several issues that came from the installation of the hot water heater by a lesser company just a couple of years ago.

I can’t say enough great things about Modern Plumbing, and Sam and Joe, the 2 technicians that came out to replace our water heater. They were so courteous, extremely professional, knowledgeable, and very thorough. They explained everything very well, and were also very respectful of my home… I think they left it cleaner than when they arrived! Their work is top quality! I haven't needed to use a plumber in quite a while. We had a leak in a pipe above our hot water heater. I researched plumbers on yelp and came across Modern Plumbing Systems. I was set on giving them my business based off of the wonderful reviews on there. Let me tell you, this company did not disappoint and is the real deal. If you are concerned about overpaying, this company will not do this to you. I always do my due diligence when researching for contractors for the best and I really feel like I came across the best plumber for me. I want to tell you about Joseph who was the plumber who came to our house. He was professional, polite, so very nice and knew what the heck he was doing. He not only told me what was wrong but also gave me great tips on what to do in the future. I was very impressed with Joe's skills and knowledge. I had another issue with our toilet which Joe was nice to check out for me and he fixed it right up. My stress level went from 10 - 0 thanks to him. In a word...honest. I asked to have a bypass valve installed near my water conditioning system and Brian took the time to hear my concerns, discuss the options with me, educate me on the benefits and drawbacks, and then let me make a decision....all without any pressure to get the work done. In the end, after hearing what he had to say, including his recommendation that I NOT HAVE THE WORK DONE, I agreed. He talked me out paying him to do work that I didn't need done. You just don't find that kind of honesty every day.

Modern Plumbing is the way to go for a new hot water heater. Brian was super responsive, answered all of my questions, quoted us the best price of the multiple companies I received estimates from, and was able to get us scheduled for installation in the timeframe we requested. Joe and Sam arrived a few minutes early on installation day and were the definition of professional. They were done within 2 hours and left the area cleaner than it was when they arrived. I had moved our clothes dryer out of the way prior to their arrival and they even moved back into place for me. Next time I need plumbing services, Brian will be my first call.

Nothing worse than walking down to your basement and seeing water all over the place and it is coming out of the bottom of the water heater. A quick search led us to Speedy Water Heater repair. Brian answered the call and said he would be over within the hour. He got the water heater isolated so we could have water the rest of the night and said his crew would be back at 9am. Brian, Sam and Joe showed up at 8:50 am ready to get er done. They laid down tarps to keep the mess to a minimum and were all very professional. Two hours later the old heater was out and the new water heater was installed. They completed the job by going around and making sure all of the hot water house faucets were in working order. There was a leaking in my 20 year-old water heater; first I contacted a local big company, and was told the next available person for plumbing inspection will be next Monday ( 7 days away). My god -- My basement is wet; When I asked help in home advisor, Brain almost called immediately, guiding me taking photos of water heater, and gave me estimated prices immediately. Of course, I shopped around and compared a few vendors, but finally still selected their service. On the second day two young men Joe and Sam arrived on time exactly at 9 am and started to work. Having your hot water heater go out when it is the coldest time of the year is stress full. Modern was super responsive, they had a tech at my house within about 40 minutes from my initial call, the new unit was installed a few hours later.

On the phone I dealt with Brian, he was very knowledgeable and patient. He walked me through a few options and helped me get what I needed for a great price. Then the techs...Joseph and Samuel were professional, helpful and knowledgeable about what they were doing. They left my storage room cleaner than when they arrived. I called yesterday at 9am when my water heater broke. Within 10 minutes I had a quote and within an hour someone was on site to view the issue. This morning my new water heater was installed and any mess caused was cleaned up. Joseph was the guy on site all morning to do the replacement and was extremely professional and efficient.

I live in Ellicott city Maryland and had a water heater that needs to be replaced. Brian and Sam from Modern Plumbing Systems responded to me right away (late Sunday night) and scheduled the installation appointment for me the next day. Sam did a great job installing the new water heater in a neat and clean manner. Absolutely mess free! They charge with a reasonable price covering a high quality water heater. They are also the only company providing 6-year labor warranty!

Sam and Joseph were very personable and did work for $175. which was $150. less than another company who when the other company showed up and I refused what seemed like an outrageous price the plumber wanted $45. just for showing up. Brian the owner is very pleasant and helpful and never brought up any fees to walk in front door.

Extremely prompt response and Impeccable service from these folks. Bryan took his time to explain our options, and provide
pertinent advice on each option. He was available 24/7 to respond to all my many many questions.

I have been using Modern Plumbing Services for 9 years and Brian has always been great! We needed our hot water heater replaced because it was leaking. I spoke with Brian and he was able to get someone out to install it same day. Sam was the person who came and installed it. He was very professional and respectful of our home. Needed guts in toilet replaced ( I thought ) and sink drain plug fixed . Brian and Joseph took care of my jobs. Brian was honest and said I only needed a gasket on the bottom . Showed me how to do the job .
Then Joseph worked on sink and when they saw faucet was loose they fixed that .
Brian also looked at my shut off valve to outside water and explained why it leaks when turn off . He tighten a place free of charge.
Brian is very thorough and will fix something it he finds it needs doing .
For example he happen to find original sink plug to sink and replaced it since it matches the other sink.
He cares and takes pride in his work.

Just simply amazing. My wife and I had to replace our water heater within three weeks of moving into our new home. I called a dozen plumbers and Modern Plumbing Systems was the only company that offered sound advice way before hiring them! Their advice gave me options to get by for a few hundred bucks, or look at the whole picture of why I need to replace my hot water heater to begin with. We went with their recommendation and couldn't be happier. The installation team was extremely friendly, and really great with our dog Taco. They're now our plumber, period.

They took great care in removing the old water heater making sure they did not get any dirt or rusty water on my carpet by putting down tarp and wearing plastic over their shoes. They also drained the water from the old unit which was leaking. They installed the new water heater in a short amount of time. I originally called for a hose bib replacement for my outdoor front faucet. I had another plumber tell me he would need to cut into the drywall to do the replacement but these guys did everything they could to not damage the wall (and succeeded!) While the team was there, they took a look at my water heater which was nearing 30 years old and not up to code. We decided to replace it and the team did a great job. I’m so glad we replaced it before it went out because our sump pump was also broken and we had no idea. We would have had a big flooding problem if the old water heater had gone out. I spoke with Brian who was responsive and extremely knowledgeable! He was able to solve our problem and get our plumbing back in working order on the same day I called (today)! Their pricing is very affordable and fair! I appreciate Brian and this company's integrity as a contractor more than anything. Again, I recommend them to anyone and would hire them again myself in a heartbeat!

Excellent response to a call for a water heater installation. Modern Plumbing Systems was quick and efficient. Joe the installer was terrific. He explained everything, answered my questions, protected the walls and floors, was gentle with our pets and stayed long enough to make certain the water was properly heated. Brian (owner) and his team were fantastic. We had a piece in need of replacement on our hot water heater and Brian and Sam came the very next morning. They were clean (wore booties inside), professional, and knowledgeable. I watched them inspect the issue and it was clear we actually needed a new tank-- they did not put any pressure on me and explained their findings in a very factual way. We have a well, so they shared what model would work best so that we would get a longer value than the 8yo one the previous homeowners installed.

Brian sent me all the info in writing to review (plus a video all about the model of water heater he was recommending that comes with a lifetime warranty!). His pricing was also fair. After we accepted, his team (Sam and Joe) came the following morning to install the new tank. Clean, efficient, professional, and registered the product for me (and I'm quite capable- it was just an extra level of service they provide). Joe also fixed a faucet with poor pressure (and explained how he did it and why it happened). Brian came by later to verify his team's work and to ensure I was satisfied. Aside from the contracted job, he taught me about my water setup (a well is new for me) and walked me through why a shower valve isn't working properly (which I can fix myself).

Overall, it was a wonderful experience (and I've met a lot of contractors over the last year who did very poor quality work). 10/10 would recommend this team again!

Sam and Brian from Speedy Water Heaters installed my water heater today. Getting the job set up was a breeze. I sent a picture of my water heater to them. The whole process was done primarily through texts. So easy! Once they arrived Sam patiently answered all my questions. He was very professional and personable.
