I normally never bother to write reviews, but I have to share what was the worst customer service experience I've ever had to warn others of how they may get treated.

In April 2018, I paid in full for Chris to put together plans for my rather large back yard. Contacting him is an extreme pain - do not bother calling their business number as you will get connected with someone who seems like they could care less about your concerns. I emailed Chris roughly 15 times over the past 5 months and called countless times to try to get updates on blown deadlines, which there were 4 of them and countless excuses.

He eventually agreed to come meet at my house to try to right things and talk details of the plan, which came out to be incorrect twice (probably because there was such a long gap between the meeting and when he sent me the next drawing).

Finally in September of 2018, after missing the deadline for the 'final plan' twice, he sends me a drawing with no dimensions, no renderings, no estimates, and no water/power/gas line configurations like I had asked for. When I asked him about it - the drawing is 'to scale'. Now nobody can do any work without converting the plot plans to what a PDF hopefully correctly converts tiny measurements to.

All of this to say, I highly warn anyone who doesn't have money in hand (do not pay in full before the job is done, or this may happen to you too) for a specific job and dimensions ready to go to work with Lone Star. They really need to work on their communication and committing to promises. I am now out almost $2,000 with no workable plan. I am hoping they will now bother to call me and correct this imbalance.

As a project manager, I have used BJ's Landscaping many times for trenching and backfilling work and they have quickly risen to the top of my preferred vendors list. Their work is done cleanly and quickly. I am impressed every time. Thank you, Bobby and Mari!

I had them come out to fix my lawn that had holes (dog dug) and asked them to fix those plus put new grass down. They quoted $400 to do that (its a small area). They came out and were on time and 2-3 weeks later no grass grew. I requested that they come back and they did at no charge which was great. Now its 2 months later and my lawn looks green but in reality its all crab grass and clovers. None of the grass seed they sprinkled grew... its literally all weeds. Now I'm out $400 and still unhappy with my yard. Actively looking for a company that I can trust with my money. 2 stars for showing up on time and being responsive.

The owner, Luis Leyva, came as requested to see exactly what we wanted, offered suggestions and listened to ours. He knows the names, characteristics, and nuances of every plant around as well as what is edible and what’s not! He is a delightful guy who genuinely wants to make everything perfect and his clients happy. He achieved those goals the first visit. Additionally, he has an engineering background and was able to solve our standing water problems and create an amazingly beautiful and low maintenance environment around our home.
He took us to a nursery to select plants and to other suppliers to see the ground lamps, irrigation system components, and to select the pavers we wanted. Never did he push for the most expensive, but always for the most durable and esthetically pleasing.
His teams always showed up on time and were a delight to have on the property. They come prepared and willing to work. Never once did they complain, and anything we asked of them was answered with, “No problem.” One supervisor on site said with modesty, “Yes, we are the Best of The Valley.” So true.
Our home has been magically transformed! Thanks to all of you!

They were supposed to have installed 8 tons of rock in front and back yard, what was delivered to be before 6 am in the morning looks nothing like 8 tons and so much of the yard does not even have the new rock. They started the job around 6.30 sawing a tree down, I live in a quiet neighborhood and I am sure the neighbors did not like that. I asked about the rock they looked at the sheet and said it was 8 tons. I would avoid these people at all cost.

Very disapointed.

I called their office 2 weeks ago, told the operator I wanted to set an appointment for somebody to come to our property to give us a quote. No one ever called me back or contacted me. I guess they don't need new business. So I give them a one rating! Terrible customer service
