We used Lonestar Landscaping 8yrs ago for a big travertine, outdoor fireplace, artificial turf project in our backyard, which was a success, so when we decided to totally redesign our front yard & add a BBQ island in the backyard, I had to reach out to Chris Cadena. 8 years later, I got the same experience: professional, skilled, stellar clean up, high quality material, timely, respectful of my property and a beautiful end product. After dealing with one bad landscape company after another, it was nice to finally deal with a company that's honest, fair, and conducts business with integrity. Troy is a certified arborist and gave me some helpful tips for taking care of my trees. We will definitely be using AZ Masterscapes for our landscape project and any future landscape projects. After checking with different companies i decided to have my 1400 + sf paver project done by Luis and his crew. I was not disappointed. They did a great-high quality job within a very reasonable cost and in a short period of time. I am Very happy with my upgraded backyard. Highly recommended.

ORIGINAL POST: Great experience so far! We've only completed the estimate so far but we are very impressed. The best thing I can say is that it didn't feel like a sales pitch. He really took the time to understand our vision and let our ideas and budget guide the conversation.

UPDATE: This update is long overdue but I wanted to see how the plants faired after 1 year. This company was a nightmare to work with. I was upset I didn’t get their 5 star treatment but considering they offered us a discount to write a 5 star review...do with that what you will....

If you are looking for a cheap company! Go with BotV. If you are looking for a company who stays in touch, delivers on what you paid for, provides guidance during design phase, recommends plants that will survive: Go with literally anyone else. I’ve attached a screenshot of the “service” I received from the owner.

A couple of our grievances: never created a 3D model of our project which was sold to us (nbd). Didnt place down a weed barrier (which is a nightmare today). All plants are on the same drip system and need different amounts of water so some are drowning, others are starved. No guidance on what type of plants do well together, what rocks looks good, etc.

Please don’t go with this company. We are now trying to find a company to do our backyard and hopefully see what they can do to fix the front....

I hired Matt to do hardscape around pool 3 yrs ago. He did a decent job. Took longer than expected but ok job. In the weeks after,, I saw some cracking in travertine and a part broke off, that needed repair. When we called no-one got back to us. We decided to deal with it. Then fast-forward to three years later we decide to call them to get a quote for our front yard...all new landscape. Matt comes out and is agreeable and seemingly professional, even agrees to also fix the travertine left broken from his original job. Apologizing about it. Says he will send the bid for new front yard project and set up date next week to fix old travertine problem. He never sent bid or fixed anything. We texted him and he said he will be out in a couple days, but of course never came. We tried getting in touch again but no luck. Wasted my time! This company is totally unprofessional and can't be counted on. I would not ever use them again. I did end up using another company that did a great job (and also had to hire them to fix Venetian's orig problem).
