Best Install Turf in Phoenix AZ

We recently completed a patio makeover which included a lot of demolition, engineering and design and building an outdoor fireplace, plants, fire bowl, planter bowls, sprinkler system, lighting and travertine patio & stacked stone. We started with another landscaper and had to terminate them due to fraud. Chris at Lone Star stepped in and helped us start over. Wow! What an amazing job they all did (Chris, office staff & laborers)! They were all so professional and hard-working and made sure every detail we wanted done was taken care of in a timely manner. We also added some additional work in the front yard once they got started. Our back yard is so beautiful and now a true outdoor living space. We still can't believe it's our yard when we look out the windows. It only enhanced our view of the golf course and mountains. We would recommend them to anyone needing work. They have great resources and are so knowledgeable in their work. We are definitely calling on Lone Star for our next project (hopefully Phase 2 of the rest of the yard). It is so comforting to know they do have your best interests in mind. Chris never recommended something that was questionable. Jamie in the office was always more than willing to help with any detail, always seeing it through to the end. The laborers were so professional and had a wonderful attitude, even though they are working outside in 110 degree sun. THANK YOU LONE STAR for an amazing job!!

I have not personally hired Straight Line, but I'm very familiar with their work. In my research I spoke directly with at least 10 of their past customers by telephone. Each one expressed to me how happy they were with their landscape, and the quality experience they had working with Straight Line. I was impressed by how consistent the feedback was.

Chad and his crew recently updated our backyard landscape. They showed up on time and were very profession. They even coordinated with our neighbors and made sure everyone was happy due to their being very little room to park in our cul-de-sac. When some of the work wasn't up to Chad's standards they ripped it out and re-did it at their expense. I hadn't even noticed the issue. They stayed within their originally quoted budget and exceeded their originally quoted schedule. We will use Chad and his crews for all future work.

They did an excellent job cleaning up my very overgrown yard. Due to weather they had to push my scheduled service back one day but were excellent at communication and it was no problem at all. Glad to find a landscaper who actually shows up! Also love that I can pay online.

Their awesome service begins at the top. Jeremiah (owner) impressed us from the start with his knowledge and great work ethic. We priced several companies before choosing Master AZ Scapes to landscape our backyard. Darrel called us a week early and jumped at the chance to get started. Geraldo and his crew did a fantastic job of doing what we had drawn as well as taking on the changes/adds along the way. Trinity did a wonderful job on our travertine and brick pavers. we would definately recommend Master AZ Scapes to anyone who needs anything they offer.

Kim is hands down the RUDEST person to deal with. I understand that Covid has hit hard but they have been completely unresponsive then when we did finally get ahold of them she was rude, kept speaking over me, hung up on me, announced herself a gate keeper of what I have no idea, maybe really bad service? I have never been rude to any of the crew but they messed up our irrigation system our trees are dying due to their incompetence. And forget about getting proper service. Never return phone calls have never emailed except the very last time they were going to come out. There are SO many landscaping services to choose from in Phoenix take your money else where!!!

Did quick work. Explained all steps during the repair.

Sal and team did a great job, were punctual, professional and were able to get the pavers and complete my landscaping needs at a fair price while many other companies I reached out to couldn’t, weren’t willing or just didn’t respond. I will contact Sal again for my future landscaping needs and I would recommend.

I wanted some low voltage lighting added to our yard and started looking for a company to help me out. A neighbor, who uses Big Nick's regularly, suggested I give them a call. The first thing I noticed was how polite they were. They also did a great job answering my questions and explaining how the installation process worked. When they came out to do the installation they were just as kind and helpful. They got everything done quickly and the lighting turned out exactly the way they wanted. I am so thankful that I chose to hire them. It won't be the last time!

They did a great job on our backyard landscaping makeover! They were very responsive and even helped us fix a mess that our dogs caused after the initial work was done. I would absolutely recommend this team!

I am very pleased with the results. The whole team was friendly, professional, and thoughtful, and the job was well-organized from day one. The whole crew worked very hard to complete the project in a timely manner. They did my backyard design at my place. I found them the best landscaping company near me.

There were a couple mishaps but they did fix them all. I love how my back yard looks now.

We were absolutely thrilled with the way Abel Hardscapes transformed our yard! They went above and beyond, taking time to really understand what we were looking for in order to create an incredible space that addressed all of our water feature needs while still being beautiful.

Hired Jose for a general yard clean up and he did a good job. A couple of months later I hired him for monthly yard service. My lot is around 3/4 acre and we agreed on general cleanup excluding tree trimming for $175 per visit.

He and his team were punctual and stayed for about an hour which comes out to $58/hr per person. Front and back area looked good after they finished and Jose needed to get paid right then and there. After they left I discovered that the side area of my yard looked untouched and branch clippings that we had agreed to be picked up where left behind.

I texted him and his response was I do it next month. Since I don't want to stare at a pile of debris for an entire month I politely asked him to come back before next month and to complete the job. He agreed and said next week. I didn't hear from him for 5 days and reached out when he would come. His response: I'll come by tomorrow and pick it up, but in the future I will only pick up branched that we cut off. He made it sound like he was doing me a favor by coming back even though it was part of the scope when he quoted me.

Needless to say he didn't show up when he promised he would. I then proceeded to call him to see when he would come back and he just hung up the phone on me. At almost $60/hr per person I expect better service!

Hire him at your own risk. He is a charming guy and fooled me.

Also keep in mind of all the 5 star reviews he is one of the reviewers himself: Jose Rodriguez. The rest are probably friends and family.

I am giving two stars because unfortunately, I have more complaints than praise for my experience with them. I used their services recently and will start with the good. The team of three men they sent to work on my yard were fantastic. They were friendly, efficient, and communicative. How these men could smile and be friendly while working in the hot summer sun is beyond me. I appreciated them.

On to my gripes. The office is a hot mess. I called and gave them my info to schedule an appointment, only to have to call them back five days later to say I still need an appointment (someone was supposed to reach out to me to schedule my appointment and never did). So, the second time I once again had to go through giving my information because they didn't have it. It was like I never made the first phone call, which irritated me because having my yard cleaned up was time sensitive.

They tell me someone will be out to assess my property and provide an estimate. I wait all morning well into the afternoon. I receive an email with the estimate later that evening, which irritated me. Here's why: Apparently someone came by but didn't bother to ring my doorbell. I wanted to show the person specific areas to make sure my needs were clear and there were no surprise charges. I wasted my day sitting around waiting for someone to come when in fact, they did but didn't bother to let me know. So inconsiderate.

Speaking of surprise charges, if you hire them, expect to possibly pay an additional $100 beyond what you thought you would pay. During my phone conversation with the office I was explicit in what my needs were and specifically asked what I would be charged for. At no point was it mentioned that there would be additional fees for services I didn't ask for. Yes, looking back it was vaguely mentioned in the contract as fees MAY apply (not WILL apply), however they just as easily could have placed it in the actually bid clearly. Or perhaps if I had a chance to speak to the person that came and assessed my property in ghostly fashion, this would've been covered in the conversation. I felt the way thet went about this extra charge was shady, therefore losing my trust. I paid it, but with resent as I felt trapped by what I think is slithery business practice.

So much of this could have been avoided if this company had better communication skills.

As far as my yard, I am pleased by what the men did. They were smart with the time I paid for and brought my property to a place where I can actually breathe. Thank you, labor Team!

As for the people working behind the scenes, I just can't.

The low reviews are deceptive and I urge you to look past them. This is a great company with a great team. Adrian is responsive and provided reasonably priced quotes on two projects we had done with them. We had a large demolition of a gazebo type structure with a pit the size of a small swimming pool filled in. We were very nervous about this project but it was done flawlessly and the cleanup was done well. We also had a large tree trimmed and a raised ledge in our backyard removed. The team showed up every day between the communicated time window and each job was done in a timely manner. Payment wasn't collected until each job was completed which is contrary to some other reviews.
