Homework Remodels did an outstanding job of renovating our 65 year old home, which was in a state of significant disrepair when we purchased it. The remodeling required a new roof, new electrical, plumbing, heating/cooling, flooring, paint, plaster, fencing... They completed the job on a tight schedule so we could move in upon the sale of our previous home.
We were kept well informed of the progress and were involved in the process.

Robert K and Johnathan P were awesome from stat to finish. I have Parkinson's Disease one of my main issues is mobility and a lack of balance. Both of these issues make the shower a dangerous place & thus , the reason for the remodel. Robert and Jonathan both took extra care and time (including getting me involved) with the placement of grab bars and the position of the seat that was installed. Robert also insisted that a different seat was installed than what the original contract required. The seat was an upgrade but he spoke to his manager and got the new seat for the original price in the contract. Robert was very caring of m situation and it really shows what kind of man he is. I would give both Robert and Jonathan the highest marks available for the work they did. My wife and I are considering another shower project in our home and I could only hope Robert and Johnathan will be available to install it! We needed our master bathroom shower remodeled to accommodate a wheelchair user. After hearing about all the problems people encountered on bad jobs we were paranoid about choosing a contractor. We decided to go with Independence because they specialized in handicapped remodeling. We met with Mike to go over our project, got a quote, and set a start date. His crew arrived on time and were courteous and efficient. When a few project hitches came up (which they almost always do) they were resolved to our complete satisfaction.

Independence charged a fair price, honored their quote, started on time, did an excellent job, finished on time and cleaned up after themselves. What more could a customer ask for? I would recommend them without hesitation.

Dale and Izaiah were on time and if they were going to be late, they let us know. Very professional and polite. They did excellent work. Very knowledgeable about the product and process of the installation of our new shower. They answered all of our questions. They did an excellent job cleaning up our bathroom after the job was finished. We are extremely happy and satisfied with the finished product.

We buit our house with David Mikes. We were worried we wouldn't know how to handle such a large project. Fortunately, we were lucky enough to have David as our contractor.

David would set up weekly meetings with his subcontractor or company contact. We would meet with David and the specialist in the area we were looking at that week. The meetings were always very productive because David was right there helping with decisions, dimensions, architectural plans and logistics to make the process smooth.

I have four other fiends who were building at the same time with other companies. They did not have the same easy experience we had. Most of them had to hire designers and work on their own schedules to make selections needed to move forward in a timely manor.

David was very good about reminding us about costs. He wanted to make sure there were no surprises when we decided to upgrade in many different areas.

We have never had trouble reaching David. He is very prompt in answering phone, texts and emails. He handles situations quickly without any complaint. He has handled the punch list very responsibly. We have no complaints.

Over the building process we also became very good friend's with David Mikes. Through all the many meetings over the build time, he was always very enjoyable to be around. We all have many good memories of building our dream home.
