Best Repair Inspections in Phoenix AZ

My landlord hired these guys to fix the roof a couple of months ago. Took them a few missed appointments to show up, and when they did, the inspection was minuscule at best. They fixed the leak, or so they assumed. Except that it's leaking WORSE now! Finding someone else to actually fix it this time around.

From the very beginning, everything went very smoothly.
We loved that we could have that old fashion dealing with Chad, where word and hand shake is equal to signed contract.

We had him fix our leaking roof. Did great job ! a year later we had a small leakage Mr. Hardacker came again, immediately, and fixed at no cost!
He is a very pleasant, responsible very reasonable prices and most important he guarantees his work and delivers! Great experience!

They blocked my driveway with there trailer for a week. There was a rain delay on there ability to roof so they left there trailer in my driveway for 5 days, moving it on the 5th day. I had a vehical parked on the side of there trailer because I could not access my driveway. While they were roofing they damaged that vehicals paint. Then they blamed it on the weather and will not take responsibility. In addition the rain rails/flashing they removed were bent from the removal process and they refused them. It looks terrible and it will probably leak. I do not recommend this company.

In response to the comment below: If you are the owner or one of them, I suggest you speak with James. He is aware of the issues I have had and he said he spoke with the owner and the owner was not interested in the damage to my vehicle. And if you are the owner I suggest you contact me and I will show you the security footage of shingles hitting my vehical. I will also so you the securaty footage of me singing the check. You have my contact information.

Update: Vertex can make any excuses they want. I will only be in my house for another ten years and what was important to me was the color. I wanted a SILVER roof and I got a DARK GRAY roof. Not only that, no one bothered to give me a heads up on the color switch. I only found out after seeing it once it was installed, which is very unprofessional and deceptive (no chance to say no). It might have happened in 2018, but it makes me unhappy every time I look at it. :-(

You can also tell a lot about the company from their response. We are sorry to see this review followed by a long discourse on why the customer is wrong, is not a good response. A good company would have responded that they are sorry to see that I am still disappointed in their service/product and is there anything more they can do?

I have had many customer service issues and was very disappointed with Vertex Roofing!! They are horrible at returning emails/phone calls and keeping customers updated.

I ended up with a color roof that I did not select!!! I was told they no longer had the color I chose, but instead of coming back and asking me, they chose another color for me on their own. It is supposedly a higher grade material, but I am still disappointed. **Update due to this darker color I have not seen any energy savings.**

Here are some of the other issues:

--After I signed the contract I received an email that said that I would be notified when my materials came in, which I was not.

--When I developed a leak around the ceiling fan in my dining room in August, it took me two phone calls and two emails to get a response. I was just told August 14th that I would be up the end of the next week or the beginning of the following. The Production Manager said that he would be out to look at the job site, which to my knowledge never occurred.

--The next few weeks were very stressful as it was raining almost every day and I was worried about more leaking. I finally called on the 23rd to see if I could get an update, since no one had been out and I didn't even know if all my materials were in.

-- Production Manager called Friday 24th to say a crew would be out early Monday and he would email me the specifics. I never received an email.

--The crew did a good job and worked around the dogs by not going in the back yard. However, Thursday when they left they said they would be returning the next day. I work from home, so I moved a few meetings from Friday morning to Tuesday morning in case of noise. No one showed up or called until around 1 pm, the Production Manager called to say they would be back Saturday morning to finish.

--Finished as promised Saturday, but I had a standing volunteer engagement and was not here when they left. I was expecting to be left care instructions/warranty information, which I never received.

--One last customer service oddity was that no one in the company that I tried to contact who has a cell phone had their voice mail set up with a message confirming their name and that they are a Vertex Roofing employee. The generic you have reached #, did not fill me with confidence that I even had the right number.

All of these issues were addressed with an apology and 1.25% discount off the price, which is not a lot, but I just wanted to be done with all the hassle.

Unfortunately, there is a part II to the saga. I never received a final receipt from the last payment (made over the phone) or the warranty information that was supposed to come from the manufacturer. I also did not approve my two raised air roof vents and whirlybird to be removed from my roof.

In fact part of the sales pitch was for an extra fee I could get a raised roof line with increased air vents all along the top to save energy. I did not have the additional money for that, but the sales representative thought it would be fine with my existing vents.

After a lot of hassle I finally got a blurry electronic copy of warranty information, my receipt, and one whirly bird installed.

Through the whole process of me working with Best Choice Roofing, Justin was very helpful and understanding. He answered any questions I had and got me a brand new roof which my insurance company paid for! I am very happy with the service I received from Justin and Best Choice Roofing. I would highly recommend for anyone who has had their home damaged by storms

A neighbor of mine contacted GEO concerning some roof tiles that had come off her roof during a storm earlier this year. She contacted GEO to have them look at the roof and quote on the job. Mike, from GEO, came out and after replacing the tiles indicated that there would not be a charge and that he would generate a quote to perform a permanent repair due to some damaged underlayment. I was very impressed by Mike’s professionalism, care to detail and thoughtfulness on consider the cost for an 87 year old customer. I relayed the story to another neighbor he immediately wanted to know if I had a spare GEO business card. I will strongly consider GEO if I need a roof repair and when it is time to replace my roof.

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL OFFICE STAFF AND ACCOUNTING - ESPECIALLY DURING A GLOBAL PANDEMIC !!!!

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE -

We had Capstone Roofing come give an estimate and set up an appointment a week later for the roof to be repaired.

The repair specialist did the repair and said that he would make sure to perform a quality test on the roof and we agreed that would be ideal to insure the repair was sufficient. That was in early April. The test of the roof was never performed.

In addition to that miscommunication we just received a threatening notice that our payment was overdue - even though this final test has not been completed and the repair was only done two weeks ago - so payment is technically not even due for two more weeks.

The person I spoke with was totally unprofessional and not at all empathetic that we are in the middle of a global pandemic and that we will be sure to make payment when it is due in two weeks - they are completely tone deaf and not at all concerned for the customer!!

The way this was handled in all ways was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and I definitely would not recommend this service.

I am a construction manager and I have been using Gorman for the last two years they have been provided me with quality work with weekly reports and great costumer service Larry is great to work with, its nice to have someone to trust these days. Keep up the good work!

The owner and his crew at this company are great to work with. I needed a new roof on a short schedule and they made it happen. Good service and great people! Absolutely recommend them, ask for the project manager.

Sean and his team installed my roof roughly a year ago in about 2 days! Not only did he quote a competitive price for the roof (I went out for 5 bids) but he also helped address some repair/replacement issues with my carport posts as well as building a section to connect 2 separate block walls together. His team really laid a sharp-looking roof: the shingles are nicely staggered and smooth, all the flashings, vent pipes, and attic vents were all color matched to the shingles, and everything was very neat and clean when they finished the job. When selling the house this year, a nervous buyer wanted all the flashings resealed. I contacted Sean and requested he come out to inspect and beef up the sealants around any roof openings. He was very obliging and said it was no problem to come out on such short notice. In short, he did the work, documented it’s completion with photos, and provided a receipt making it all so easy to appease the home buyer. He really saved the sale! I can’t recommend Sean and PCC Roofing & Construction enough!

A strong word of caution if you are considering Jack the Roofer for your roofing project. He was hired by my general contractor to build a roof for an addition to our house. Before his crew left the site, they explained to me they would need to return later because they didn’t have the proper material to finish. Several days later, Jack told my contractor the crew had returned and finished—but two security cameras clearly showed no one had returned to complete the work.

Unfortunately, a week or so later it rained and the roof—which had not been ‘dried in’—leaked in five places. His crew then returned to finish the job, hopefully properly. To top it off, Jack then refused to provide me or the contractor with a written warranty after approximately six requests to do so. I still don’t have one. I urge you to find a reputable workman and avoid Jack the Roofer.

The crews are sitting in front of my place of work blasting hip hop music in our customer parking.Unprofessional !!!
