Ian was great! Came in on time, was very professional, and quickly resolved the HVAC issue we were having.

A technician named Chris came to look at a broken air condition unit and install a new thermostat in my condo. He was courteous. After looking at the unit for about an hour, he said he would look for the parts I needed and call me when and if they were available in the next day or so. If the parts were not available he quoted me the price of a new unit at 8 to 10 thousand. What? 8 to 10 thousand dollars for an air conditioner? I thought he was joking! He charged me about 200 dollars for the diagnosis. Although, he did try and explain the problem he failed to leave any kind of documentation for the diagnosis. Furthermore, after installing the thermostat, he left it hanging from the wall by the wires.
After 3 or 4 days of not hearing anything back from Chris, I called the company and asked about the status of the parts. Chris called me and said he would let me know by the following day at the latest. He never called. Another 3 or 4 days pass and I call again, and again I was told they would let me know the next day. Nothing. At this time I had to leave town for a few weeks and when I returned I called them again, and I was told I would hear from him the next day. He blew me off again. I called back and now I'm getting irritated. Who does business like this?
Finally, Chris leaves me a message in which he says he called me weeks ago and left a message, which he didn't, and the parts were unavailable. They can't fix it. If I wanted the price of a new unit I would once again have to call the company back. At this point I'm just done. I don't trust this guy or the company and definitely don't want to do any further business with them. So, basically they ripped me off for 200 bucks and my house is very hot. Avoid this company at all costs!

We couldn’t be happier with all of our interactions with AAARK. From the initial meeting to discuss options to service or replace our old furnace, to the quote, to the install - AAARK was patient and professional. We had many questions about the new boiler system and every detail was explained to our satisfaction. After the install we still had a couple of questions about our new unit vs what we were used to and Matt Jackson came out so he could be sure to address any concerns we had in person instead of over the phone. A whole new heating system is a significant investment and Matt said he wanted to make sure we were 100% happy. We are! Our home is warm and energy efficient. I have no doubt that if we have any problem at all, AAARK will be there. They are also our go- to for all of our plumbing needs. Update May 2021- another excellent experience! We contacted AAARK to replace our lumpy old patio pavers with a smooth concrete surface. We are so happy with the transformation and the price. Julio, Junior and Antonio did a wonderful, professional job on the concrete work- even working around existing poles and plantings- and left the worksite spotless. At the last minute,, we decided to add some electrical outlets to the space and Jimmy made it happen. Bottom line- if you have a vision, call AAARK. They have the right people with the right experience.

Frank installed central A/C for us for the second time and we always enjoy his services. Every time we use Frank, he ends up fixing other areas around the appliance to ensure that his work is 100% correct and safe. He always goes above and beyond and cant recommend him highly enough

I cannot recommend Uli, Marshall, Jason, Johan and the whole team at Top Shelf enough.

I initially got in touch with Top Shelf because a different company had broken my water heater during a routine intake outtake pipe repair. The company claimed I needed a new heater entirely. Marshall came over and was very responsive to my questions, said that they might be right and I would need a new water heater, but that he'd look into it. After a half an hour or so he had the issue fixed: the previous company had installed a one way valve on the pipe going the wrong direction and so he just took that out and, viola, fixed.

I liked so much of how Marshall worked, I have just completed an HVAC installation with another of Top Shelf's technicians: Jason and his brother Johan. Despite having some setbacks with getting the metal ducting into our basement that weren't his fault, Jason stayed at our house until 8:30pm to make sure we had heat that night. Johan helped with all things electrical and I gather came over to help things done in a speedy matter given the install was done during a snowstorm. Both were extremely professional and easy to talk to. We're now sitting comfortably with a new HVAC and humidifier.

I plan on using Top Shelf anytime I need the services they offer - I'm already planning new electrical work with them here shortly. I encourage you to contact them - you won't be disappointed.

Greg Thompson was amazing. He came over for a plumbing & boiler inspection as part of the Happy Home service we signed up for. He was wonderful! Incredibly thorough & considerate. You could tell he had our best interest at mind. We will certainly be calling Greg back when we have future plumbing needs.

I had a water spigot explode and Muris from Tipping Hat had the issue fixed a few hours after I called. Good guy, good service. Will definitely call them if I need anything in the future.

We recently bought a house where the previous owners did a wreck of a job with a DIY bathroom remodel, with most of the problems hidden in the second level floor/main level ceiling. The sewer/drain line started leaking the first time we used a sink which caused damage to the ceiling drywall on the main level, which is how we discovered the problem. I took time off of work and out of my day to meet their estimator, only to be informed three days later that, this is not a job blue sky believes we can do for you. There was nothing that we discussed before the estimator left that seemed like something a licenced plumber wouldn't be able to handle. The only reasons I can think of are 1) their plumbers are not skilled enough to do it, or 2) they just don't want to do it. I do believe it's probably the latter, and I am a proponent of a free market and believe they should be able to turn down a job for any reason or no reason at all, but the consequence is a bad review and reputation for not coming through for people. My advice would be to call someone else unless you need something extremely simple done, because I feel like the only job they would have accepted was one that I could do myself, like installing a toilet or replacing a faucet.

Lamar was my technician and was amazing! He was so professional, helpful and friendly. As a new homeowner, there are aspects of maintaining a furnace I just wasn’t aware of and I really appreciated the knowledge he shared with me so I have that awareness moving forward. In the future, I’ll definitely be requesting him for any maintenance or repair needs!
