On Time Electrical Electrician
Matt Purcell came out to our hour and installed many light fixtures. At the last minute I asked him to install an outdoor light and he had no hesitation to install the light fixture and diagnose the outdoor electrical problem. We have had many rewiring issues that need to be addressed and we will be asking Matt to come back out to our home very soon! 5 star service without a doubt. Very professional! Thank you on time electric!

Viva Electric Electrician
Jimmy and his crew were on time and extremely professional and did not try to nickel and dime me for anything. Jimmy even showed up in his golf-wear when I called him on his day off about a minor problem I was having - he said, hey no problem and was at my house in less than an hour. He didn't try to bill me a weekend overtime charge; he crawled under my house (in his clean white polo!), knocked out the work and said don't worry about it. I have recommend him to friends and neighbors and will continue to do so. Good contractors are hard to find but once you use Viva, I doubt you will look anywhere else.

MACK ELECTRIC LLC Electrician
When I called Mack Electric, they immediately responded with a confirmed appointment. The technician Mo showed up right on time to do a free estimate after looking at the items that needed replacing or correcting, there are no trip fees. His estimates were very reasonable and is per job NOT by per hour. I have used other electricians before and either they charged per hour for many hours or $1000 min per job, or they purposefully emailed an estimate for your review, but when you clicked the button to review, it confirms hiring them even though you had not decided to hire them. Mo is certainly a keeper. He will be my go to electrician. Thank you, Mo.

KG3 Electrical Electrician
I have used Al as my electrician on multiple home projects- as he came highly recommended by a local lighting company. All of my experiences with Al have been extremely positive... he is professional, highly skilled, always responsive and on time. His prices have always been very fair and reasonable as well- with no “surprises” at the end of the projects!

I would highly recommend this company.

Bates Electric Electrician
It is great that Bates has superb customer service folks on the phone and was able to send someone out to install a 240V outlet in the garage as early as the next day and the two gentlemen who showed up were super nice ... however ... despite the costs being explicitly stated in advance ($80 trip charge, $80/hr labor, plus parts), I ended up being charged 1.5 hours for just over half an hour's worth of not quite professional work. Two reasons for that: a) I was apparently charged almost an hour for the technician's time to go shopping at Home Depot for the most basic of parts (an outlet, a box for the outlet, a few feet of cabling, etc.), and b) the person who did the work was the new guy and although he was experienced, he was clearly being supervised by the more senior tech for a reason. End result? An outlet that's not flush with the wall because a few corners were cut. I don't get why I have to pay you labor rates to show up at the job site with the proper equipment when I already told you what I needed to have done and I even sent you pictures _well before_ you arrived at the job site. It's not like this person had to leave my home and go far away and then come back (but even then, shouldn't you have some of these things in your truck, especially on the day of the job?). I'm sure he stopped at the Home Depot on the way from his previous gig to this one. I feel like levying a trip charge and labor rates for shopping is technically double-dipping. When I brought up these concerns to their customer support folks, I was told someone would be calling me back (after much resistance and arguing; they're exceptionally trained ... I felt like I called an insurance company to file a claim). Well, three days later, I haven't heard from anyone.

UPDATE 08/24: After getting nowhere with the back-office folks, the owner himself was kind enough to speak with me, hear me out, and send Justin out to make it right by his customer. I really do appreciate that. I am definitely pleased with the end result. However, I think it's important for customers to know, up front, that they're liable for the electrician's time spent procuring the parts needed for the job. If given the choice, I would rather go get them myself instead of paying labor rates for that Home Depot trip. It could be that I'm just that naive and that this is how the entire industry operates.
