DJ Cooke from Max Electrical Services left our house so much better than it was before. He replaced two 50 year old bathroom combo heater/light fixtures, figured out why our outdoor lighting system (which had been installed 15 years ago) wasn't working, fixed it and also made it much simpler to use. He explained everything patiently. The charges were lower than I expected even though it took two guys many hours to fix everything on our list (switches, outlets, other light fixtures...). When I offered to write a review, DJ said the owner, Mr. Maxwell, was unusually knowledgeable and that he was a great guy to work with. I would recommend Max Electrical Services to anyone.

We have used Duhon for two different projects and will continue to us them for all of our electrical needs. They are a great company to work with and are very professional. William and Damien take the time to explain all of your options, and if they are suggesting something that is needed, why it is needed. It is very refreshing to deal with true professionals and not some guy with a truck that you find on Craigslist.

They installed a chandelier with dimmer switch. We called to say the switch was very hot. Electrician said it is probably a bad dimmer switch. Since we purchased it he would not do anything. We have tried several other switches but it is still not working. They refused to install one fixture because the ceiling was too high. The other fixture was not installed correctly and looks like it is falling down. Very disappointed especially because it cost me almost $600. Electrician did not know what he was doing. Very rude!

I called Dunman on Tuesday 9/11/18 to get a quote for installing two ceiling fans I had purchased. Both my mother and brother used them around 6 years ago so I didn't even think to look them up online first - this was my first mistake. The receptionist, Becky, was incredibly nice and told me that they charge $95 per fan if there is already existing blocking, or $120 per fan if there is no blocking. This seemed like a reasonable price, so I scheduled the installation for 9/14/18 and was very pleased they were able to fit me in so quickly. My second mistake was not getting these prices in writing.I scheduled the time frame for 10am-12pm because I have two roommates that work late and sleep in, but I got a call at 9 am that the technicians would be there in 15 minutes. They were at the house 5 minutes later. Thankfully, my roommate woke up to my call to let them in and my parents were able to get to the house quickly to meet them. It was a bit stressful and I had spend 15 minutes of work time dealing with it, but I let it go because I know these things happen.Then, when the technicians started they did not place any sort of plastic down under the first fan so my roommate's bed, dressers, and floor was COVERED in insulation (which had fiberglass in it) and drywall dust. They shook out her comforter and vacuumed the floor when they were done, but they still left a huge mess and we had to to a much more extensive cleaning later before she could sleep that night.Next, there was an issue with the fan blades. The fan blades had two sides with different colors. They installed them black side down without asking which color we preferred. This was partially our mistake for not making clear which side to do before they started, but when asked to flip them they said, Well I picked the black side because it matched the furniture. It is not a technician's job to decide which color blade looks better in someone else's house. He then said it would be another $80 to flip the blades. This was quite annoying but, again, I just let it go and figured I would just figure out how to flip them later.But then came time to pay. They finished and said the total was $569.That is well over double the price I was told. They said they charged $170/hour, it took 3 hours, and there was an extra fee because I had not had any blocking for the fans. Unfortunately, my mom did not realize what they had quoted me and filled out a blank check I had left.They also left their ladder in the garage, as well as the old lights and trash from the ceiling fan packaging in piles in the rooms.I was still at work but I immediately called back the office and relayed everything that had happened to the receptionist to figure out what was going on. She told me she would pass my complaints on to a manager, who would get in contact with me after she talked to the technicians. I called back after an hour of not hearing from them. The receptionist informed me my case had been escalated to the owner and he would get in contact with me, however he was at an electrical emergency and it may not be until later that afternoon before I heard from him. I never heard from him. At this point I put a stop payment on the check so it would not be cashed before I had a chance to talk to Craig.I had to call them back myself Monday. When I finally got in touch with him he informed me that while, yes, his receptionist had told me $120 per fan, the lowest he would go for the service was $450. $125 per fan installation plus $100 per fan for the blocking.I would strongly advise anyone looking for an electrician to look elsewhere. There are plenty of honest companies in Austin. If you insist on using Dunman, make sure you get everything in writing. In the end, I agreed to this price to just get all of this behind me and to keep from missing any more work, not because I thought it was fair or just. I truly hope Craig and everyone else at Dunman learns from this experience and starts treating their customers like fellow human beings.

Great work by good people. Had a tankless water heater, ceiling fans and outlets installed in our new home. Quick and painless. Would recommend for all your electrical needs.

It's Christmas and all the outside lights suddenly went dark. We called Malco Electric and they were able to work us in and send techs out the same day! The techs were courteous and professional. They quickly identified a failed GFCI and replaced it with a high-quality replacement part. We have used Malco Electric several times before and have been happy with their response time and service every time. We highly recommend this business.

I called to sort out an issue with a breaker for the refrigerator. Paul was very quick to respond and was at my house the same day. He was very thorough in checking the issue and making sure there was nothing left unchecked related to that electrical line. He was very helpful, professional and friendly. I will definitely be going to ATEC Electric for any other future electrical needs!

Gabriel was on time and we were kept up to date on when he would arrive. He was polite and efficient and got everything fixed quickly. He even took the time to explain what he was fixing and why and how. I would recommended him and Capital City Electric and Gabriel.

I was not sure what to expect from the electrician, but after having him come out for my power restoration, I am happy to say that he did a great job. He was professional and got the job done quickly. I would highly recommend this manor of service for anyone in need of a power restoration!

If you want to pay for service that doesn't get done. Over pay for service, Be promised they will come finish work you paid for, then never have the electrician show up, and when you get tired of them telling you they will show up in a week, then three weeks, then two weeks and you finally get tired of waiting on them and tell them you will look for another electrical company to finish the work they were paid to do and the owner saysThank you, thank you, Thank you. then hire this company.Do not, however, think they will respect you or your business.

Chris Guion from Mr. Sparky came to our home today for some electrical work. He was probably the best service technician of all the people that we’ve ever called to our home. Very polite, well spoken, professional and did a fantastic job. If you use Mr Sparky be sure to request Chris specifically. 5 stars for him!

I asked them to put in a fresh outlet. Our panel was inexperienced, yet they had the answers and finished the task in two hours. You couldn't even tell they were there as they cleaned up! They were very courteous, competent, and effective. I highly suggest them.

Great Experience at an affordable price.....

This neighborhood electrician assisted me in installing a light fixture in my kitchen even though I had no clue what I was doing. He did an excellent job of making sure the fixture looked beautiful. He is someone I would suggest to anybody who needs an electrician.
