Best Remodeling Projects in Phoenix AZ

As a commercial contractor my experience with residential contractors has been less than stellar so I am generally jaded towards them. These folks are not like residential contractors.

These guys have a good business model in my opinion and do excellent work!

On time, reasonably priced, and quality installation. Our first remodel and largest expense outside of the home or auto purchase and they made it as easy as possible for us. If you can wait for this team to do your remodel you will not be sorry.

Steven and Alex were courteous professional and fast. Their work was amazing. Om Tuesday June 9th they installed our walk in shower and it is gorgeous, safe, great water pressure and a joy.

We are so pleased with our new showers. Our family absolutely loves the way they look and feel when we shower. We are so happy we decided to go with Dreamstyle Remodeling of Phoenix. Doug is great to work with, always on time, knowledgeable and passionate about his work. We live in a historic home (1926) and needed to have the bathroom completely remodeled. We hired Homework Remodels to take everything out (tile floor, walls, ceiling, tub, toilet, vanity, etc) and install a new bathroom. They were very professional and were great to work with. We explained the items that we wanted, and they provided information on those items as well as other options, which we greatly appreciated. They communicated very well throughout the project, and we were extremely happy with the end result. Working on historic homes can be difficult and unpredictable, but their expertise made it look easy. This bathroom is the only bathroom in our house, and they managed to keep it functional throughout the entire construction phase, which is an incredibile feat. Our new bathroom is beautiful and is better than what we expected - great quality of work! We finally have a bathroom that we are proud of. We will definitely hire them again for future projects. I highly recommend them.

Our experience with Just Remodel! was fantastic. Don was amazing and helped us through every aspect of our Master Bathroom remodel. I'm a repeat customer with Holtzman Home Improvement. They remodeled my kitchen last year, and now we're just finishing up a master bath remodel. For both projects I'm happy to say that I am very satisfied with their work.

Before deciding to work with the Holtzmans, my wife and I did some research, called in an architect, and asked several contractors to offer bids. What finally stood out with Danny and Brandon, and really what made us decide to work with them above any other contractor, was their ability to take a design approach from the start. Understanding design aspects of any remodel (as I've learned from Rick, their lead designer) is crucial. For both our kitchen and bath we found that the right design helped ensure we got what we expected (aesthetically) and that things stayed within the budget we set for ourselves.

Another interesting feature of Holtzman Home Improvement is their staff. They have their own employees for most jobs ; plumbing, carpentry, tile, etc. My wife and I liked this very much because it insured a high-level of quality and a group of workers that did not change throughout the project. All the people who work at Holtzman are steadfast professionals and did a great job.

Now for anyone who thinks that any well-planned home improvement project is impervious to mistakes, let me say that such is not the case. Some problems will, without a doubt, emerge. And whenever a problem presented itself, Danny and Brandon were always very honest about it, and worked with me to find a good resolution. If the wrong tile was laid down, they simply removed it. In other cases we had to endure some overages in order to resolve the issue. However if I had to pay a bit more to get what I and my wife wanted, we were always satisfied with the solution and found the final outcome better than expected. In some cases, the problem actually forced a solution that was superior to the original plan.

Finally the online project management system that Brandon set up is great. Not only does it show the schedule and upcoming work, but it helps document overages which is an important part of any project. I think this kind of system represents icing on the cake because bigger projects are complex and need exactly this sort of tight oversight.

So in the end, would I use the Holtzmanns on my next project? The answer is very much yes.

I went in to ask about a remodel project. It would involve removing a closet between two bedrooms, closing in a door and adding a walk in closet. I was told they would not even talk to me because this sounds like permits are needed. No one would even look at our rough plans. I felt like I was escorted out. I would have appreciated some type of actual review.

My husband remodeled years ago so he is critical of everybody, so we got 5 bids. For us it wasn't just about the money, we needed to feel comfortable about who was going to be in our house and the quality of the job and materials itself. Ross explained the entire process and answered all my husbands questions. Although he was booked up and we had to wait 3 weeks before he could start we decided to wait on him. It worked out good anyway because I am picky and wanted to purchase my own mirrors, lighting fixtures and towel bars. They showed up on time everyday, cleaned up daily and finished on time, no surprises. Our Travertine shower is simply gorgeous, what a difference. I can tell by the way he rebuilt the shower it will last forever ( I think my husband learned a few things although he wouldn't admit it, LOL) We will call Brower Remodeling Group for our guest bathroom and I can't wait. Michael and Martin were a dream to work with. The remodel was headache free and went smoothly from start to finish. Amazing workmanship, these guys know what they are doing! I couldn't be happier with the end result. I would definitely use them again.

I am so glad I decided to go with Maxum for my kitchen remodel. The process from start to finish was obviously a messy task and interesting to get used to with your kitchen torn apart but man were they great. The communication was top notch, the workers kept the space clean as best they could and were very respectful. I recently had my Primary Shower and Guest Shower remodeled and Rise Above Remodeling was one of the best contractor experiences I've ever had. I called multiple companies in the area and many were not even interested in my project or gave me extremely high bids. Rise Above was referred to me by a friend and they were by far the most responsive, honest and reasonably priced companies to deal with. Bret was spot on with his design suggestions and Skylar and his team were extremely professional and communicated well throughout the construction process. I have had no problems with my showers post production and they look great! I would highly recommend Rise Above for any remodeling projects you have - you won't be dissapointed!

I have rehabbed many properties and it is always hard to find great contractors but PJH is honest, detailed and on time with their work which is key to my business.

The work was done with great care and workmanship. The quality was excellent and the job was done on time and within budget estimates.

Do not use this company for anything they are stating they can do! The owner is a liar and when comes for estimates doesn't disclose everything and when the job is done and you start to have questions he will say that he has explain everything (because he does this for 30 years even though he is in business for less, check his business and claims with ROC) and he will request for more money. Since end of August our kitchen is still missing items and unfinished. I would not trust them!

Hard workers

Great communication, the project plan kept at least one bathroom functional throughout, absolutely zero corner cutting, great attention to detail, and very clean work. They are responsive, helpful, skilled, and easy to work with. Their level of craftsmanship is something that every contractor should aspire to.
