Restoration 1 of Phoenix was amazing all the way through! Our water heater cracked spilling water throughout our garage (this was a Friday night). Restoration 1 was called the next day and within 30 minutes Brandy was there inspecting the damage. While she was still at my house, Mario and crew called me to confirm they were already in route (WOW!). Brandy left and 5 minutes later Mario showed up to begin the restoration process. Mario was back every day to check on the progress.

I'm in customer service, and this is the gold standard treatment. The team was incredibly responsive, helpful, and courteous. The communication with Mario and Brandy was top-notch, and I was in the loop through the entire process. I felt extremely valued as their customer. I haven't had that kind of people out to my house for repairs in such a long time. He got my toilet drained out and up and running in minutes. Wow. We could not have asked for more responsive and awesome experience in a bad situation. The team responded immediately. We were kept informed at all stages. The team was extremely polite. I'd quadruple the star rating x 1000. We arrived to our Chandler home from a trip to find it had been flooded by a clog in the common line. It was devastated by mold and black water. We called AZ Total Home Restoration on a Saturday night over Labor Day Weekend. Nathan arrived at 10 p.m. that evening and, in a most professional, knowledgeable, yet compassionate manner, answered all of our questions, provided expert guidance, and bid the work to be done. He has been by our side the last THREE months as we've negotiated a stressful and incredibly frustrating journey with insurance companies, our HOA, and unethical contractors sent by insurance. Water damage cleanup, mold remediation, sanitization of personal property we were able to save, air clearance and bacterial testing ... are all pieces of the project you need to absolutely stay on top of to ensure it is done correctly for your health, safety, and pocketbook. Nathan, James, and their team are beyond dependable, trustworthy, and ethical - and they are really, really good at what they do. They are the definition of integrity.

When you seek to hire a home restoration company for fire, mold, water damage, or even asbestos/lead testing, ask a lot of questions. There is no licensing or legal standard, at least for mold remediation, to keep them accountable. Ask about the actual crews they will send to do the work - how are they trained, how much experience do they have, is there oversight - a skilled supervisor regularly visiting the job site to ensure it is being completed correctly and in a timely fashion? What exactly is their process and the steps involved? How long will it take - and get it in writing. All communication should be in writing via email. No phone calls that cannot be documented. Take lots of photos throughout the project. Educate yourself on the required processes - don't just trust that they are the experts and will do the job right. Get a copy of the scope of work as well as the lab reports from all testing.

OR don't bother calling any other restoration company. Call Nathan, hire ATH, and you will be in the best of hands. Obviously, we cannot say enough to recommend Arizona Total Home Restoration. This has been a horrible experience - the loss of our home and property, the financial implication, the roller coaster ride with the HOA and insurance, being out of our home for months, etc.

ATH provided guidance, peace of mind, seemed to be our only ally, was so responsive, such an enormous help, and made sure we can move back into our home safely, having saved as much of our property as possible. They are good people making an honest living.

Be careful working with this company if you are a temporary worker. They love to exercise their power over you.

I live 2500 miles away from Mesa, Az and had contacted Servpro to look at my fathers property in Mesa. I talked to Paul and the communication was great.
