Best Slab Leak Repair in Arlington TX

Called with a water heater issue, within a few hours they were knocking on my door. The problem was fixed in less than a couple of hours. This was 5 years ago and have continued to use this company, just this week again for leak under my sink and a gas leak (my stove) as they are prompt, professional, and prices are always fair. Per Larry Stinson, the company owner, he uses a computer program that charges the average regional prices for plumbing services. In my case, we just needed to replace a toilet flange in a very small bathroom that had been accidentally attached with silicon when the installer put in the tile floor. She forgot to remove the flange, so it had to be cut out and a new one installed to replace the toilet. Working up his written estimate took the technician, Bubba, almost an hour because he did it through this computer tablet. Then the actual job took less than an hour and was done well. The cost was $1283 for this one hour of work and the cost of the flange. So he charged $1200 for one hour of labor! I thought this way over-priced and it should have cost maybe $600 or so. When I told the technician, I thought the price was very high, the technician said I was trying to “Jew him down”. I thought this was completely unprofessional. Nicole, who installed the floor, was getting paid only $250 because floor is so small (5’x5’), so knowing she had to pay the bill, I asked for a lower price. If I was paying to fix this, I would have gotten much lower quotes as the job was not hard, just cutting out a 3” flange and putting in a 4” one. But Nicole didn’t want to wait, so she paid $1245, as he came down a little. So even though they came on time and the work was good, their pricing and lack of professionalism make me not want to use them again. Bubba also tried to tell me they only provide a 30-day warranty, but then Larry said it would be 1 year.

Their computer pricing program definitely must include data from much higher-priced regions/cities than this market. Please get other local quotes to compare before using Stinson!

P.S. I am editing this review because Larry stated in his response below that Nicole “left a 5-star review”. which is not true. She just told me she has not left any review and considers the matter closed.

We had an issue with our hot water heater and they treated it with the utmost urgency. Really appreciated their kindness and customer service in getting us taken care of ASAP. Will definitely use them again.

They are always friendly, prompt, courteous and efficient in what they do. They leave the work area clean and make sure you understand the cause of what’s needing to be repaired and answer all questions. An honest company you can depend on.

Took my $2300.00 deposit for a $7000.00 bathroom remodel job, sent 2 men to demolish existing bath which took 7hrs by my home video camera. Demolition was not quite completed. Never showed up again.
Unfortunately he was recommended by someone in church. You just don't know who to trust these days.

Please spend a little more time looking for a good company, and don't use benjamin franklin plumbing. I've called several times and still no one has fixed the issue. Even talked to I think a manager named Bo, nothing has been done. It has gotten so bad that now the back door isn't shutting right. Horrible customer service and now will have to spend more money to fix their mistake. Honestly should be reported to the better business bureau. People rely on a business to fix a job and do it right, not make things worse.

This company performed like an ambassador and far exceeded my expectations. I had them pull out all cast iron from under my slab house and replace it with PVC. They showed up on time and completed on time. Their excavation crew even put the garden hoses back exactly as they found them. They were a least cost of 3 bids and they did the work without breaking up my slab. Christian appears to be the foreman ordering the crews but I've got nothing but good words to say about all of them. I don't expect to need them again but I can certainly recommend them.

Sean and Eli came out today and did a sewage leak detection. They were super professional and courteous. They walked me through the whole process and kept me informed of what they were seeing every step of the way. They made a stressful situation much more palatable. Honest and fair. Very picky and choosy about where he svcs when I was closeby in FW. The success of a business involves you going above and beyond and servicing in your area...not ignoring ppl that need help just because you limit your biz to a certain area. Branch out and watch you business do better!
