Best Soft Water in Durham NC

My husband and I noticed a high pitched screech coming from our water heater under the house when we turned on a faucet in the house. We called a few places but they were either booked up or didn't answer their phones. We contacted After Hours and they were thankfully able to come out the very next day! We were really worried about it getting worse with the Hurricane weather on the way and we were so thankful they could fit us in so quickly. Matt was so wonderful to work with. He took the time to explain to us what was happening and what we would need to fix the problem. When we discovered that our Home Warranty wouldn't cover the replacement parts, Matt told us what he recommended we replace and what could wait a little while to help with our budget. This was our first time using After Hours and we can tell why it is so highly rated. We had a wonderful first experience and will definitely call them if we have any other plumbing or water heater needs.

Rob M. with Pure-Line Plumbing was outstanding! I called to schedule a non-emergency appointment and they got me an appointment less than 48 hours away. Rob called en route (right on time!) and was a pleasure to work with. He spent some time investigating, addressed the exact issue and when I shared I was a new homeowner, he encouraged me to learn alongside him so I was more informed about how the different pieces worked and some tips for the future. Pricing was very fair and transparent, Rob was very skilled and personable, and the job was done quickly and well. Will certainly be my first call for any future plumbing needs!

Joshua went above and beyond to complete the work in my home. He replaced the kitchen sink, and bathroom tub faucets, removed and treated mold.

Mr. Edwin Lazo, the licensed plumber, arrived on time and proceeded to access the slow leaking pipe. He let us know at each step what was happening. We were surprised to learn we had four leaks instead of just the one we had previously thought. Mr. Lazo repaired the water line, finished the job in a timely manner plus he made sure everything was neat and clean before he left. In addition, he assisted in locating our main shut off valve in our home.

Throughout the process Mr. Lazo was personable and professional.

These guys are great. They have been my go to for several years now. Very responsive and get the job done for the right price.

We had the worst experience for a really basic job. The cost was exorbitant and the professionalism lacking. The technician returned a week later because a leak developed on the faucet where there had been none previously, and he started off defensive and things declined from there. When we asked the technician for his manager's information, he said he didn't know. Obviously we will never be using Roto- Rooter again and I regret ever having done so. Do yourself a favor, call somebody else.Update 12/04/18 - Our complaints were at least listened to and taken seriously enough to be refunded for some of the work that was done, so our experience at the corporate and managerial level of Roto-Rooter was an improvement. Another plumber replaced the leaking valves and did the work correctly the first time and for a lot less than we were quoted by Jean at Roto-Rooter. He also didn't have to cut into our wall as Jean had said he would have to.I can't improve the rating from a 1-star as our experience with Jean was simply that terrible, but to their credit Roto-Rooter did respond and listen to us.
