I remodel kitchens and bathrooms for a living and have used PlumbV since I opened my business. I have them service my personal Home as well. These guys Know their plumbing. They show up when they say and make things right if there's ever an issue. I highly recommend them for any of your plumbing needs.

He installed a new hot water heater, explained the work he had done, and left, doing a four-ish hour job, with no fuss or issue in an entirely professional manner. Excellent, professional, on time service

PlumbV sent out the service tech - Todd - promptly. He diagnosed the problem, did what he could till the parts were obtained (under warranty) and them came back promptly and finished the job. Todd was efficient, friendly and helpful. I would definitely call them again - and request Todd.

He was right on time and went right to work and was done very quickly !

Their employee offered to do work for me on a weekend - on the side, now this company will not do work for me. One would think they would get better employees, rather than cut off customers.

I installed a dishwasher, and the old pipes in the drain line leaked. Each time I fixed one spot, another leak would spring up farther down the line. I messaged PlumbV through their website, and got a call that same day. The person I spoke with on the phone was friendly, and they gathered information quickly and thoroughly. Cory, the PlumbV plumber who came over, talked through his plan in a way that was easy to understand, clearly pointing out existing problems and potential ones, and then repaired the drain system. Before he left, he tested everything thoroughly to make sure the job was done right.

Cory also told me about PlumbV’s standing offer for a free while-home plumbing inspection with any service. I declined because I had already had an inspection recently, but it sounds like a great value for a useful service. PlumbV is at the top of my list for next time I need a pro to clean up my DIY mistakes, and my old house might need another inspection, and—dare I say it—more plumbing help soon.

It was more expensive than I had hoped for, but my hasty research makes me think the price was similar to what other pros would charge.

I would definitely recommend PlumbV to anybody living in their surprisingly big service area.

Nick did a great job and was a very professional young man. Arrived on time and gave me prices for each job. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because I think your prices are higher than I am used to paying.

Friendly service from Richard. Two new shower valves and trim kits function just fine, but I do not recommend PlumbV due to the fact that the tub spout they installed is totally crooked and looks bad. The base plate that should sit flush with the shower wall has a gap of three-eighths of an inch on one side (that's how crooked the spout is coming out of the wall!). Nothing is perfect, so one-eighth or so would be acceptable-- but three-eighths? That's a big gap on one side and a very crooked spout. Visually, it just looks bad.

I recommend going with a company that has more of an eye for detail with these kinds of things that you expect to be pretty exact (or close to it).

The work was done professionally. I would recommend PlumbV.

The company promptly returns phone calls. Photos of Keith were provided in advance and a call and text were received half an hour before arrival. The company earns its 5 star rating.

I had a leak under my sink next to dishwasher. Since it was a slow leak, they couldn't find the leak because they pulled the line too tight and they needed to cut a hole in my wall. They didn't fix the leak. I needed reconstruction come out to fix the water damage so it took time to find they didn't fix the leak. Now I have to pay to have the reconstruction to my floors and cabinets redone because my insurance company already paid for the damage. I contacted them and was told there wasn't a guarantee for future. It's the same leak in the same place they didn't fix the 1st time.

Just a couple hours after closing on our first home, we learned from the gas guy that he could not light the gas on our water heater as it was vented incorrectly and not up to code. I am glad we paid for an inspector that completely overlooked this important issue.

PlumbV was recommended to us by our auto repair guy (Brian from Autotek). When you found someone who is great at what they do, asked them for any reference, because they only hire the best themselves :)

We called PlumbV and were given a quick date for an estimate. Matt, the owner, came by, check out the water heater and talked us through different options and gave fair estimates.

The chosen water heater was installed a few days later by Richard. Richard did a fantastic job and cleaned the surrounding area of the water heater that was full of mud from the previous one. He completed the work in the estimated timeframe and the new installation looks great and works well. When Matt inspected the air vent of the water heater to the exterior wall, he said that they might have to relocate it a few inches which would have meant to also get some repairs done on the siding on the house. Richard was able to vent it in its original place so we didn't have to worry about any further repairs.

After the work was completed, we received an email from PlumbV's office that they missed to credit us the deposit for the estimate to our final invoice and were sending us a check. We totally missed that ourselves and were happy that they were honest about the error.

It was great to work with PlumbV and we highly recommend them.

Plumbv recently replaced our water heater, I was in a flat out panic looking for someone to replace it for us. I called Plumbv and spoke to Alexis. She was amazing!! She assured me that they would take great care of us, which calmed me down immensely. She got us scheduled for a replacement, and sent over a confirmation. She was very knowledgeable and made a great first impression of this company for me. Before the gentlemen arrived to replace the water heater we were called to let us know they were on the way. They arrived, got the new water heater in and it turned out that we needed a pressure valve replaced too. They took care of it with a blink of an eye. I will definitely be using them again!

Sometime back in 1983-84, workers were busy framing up doors on the 2nd floor of my current home. Others were installing the 2nd floor bathtub/shower stall and plumbing. Then, the H20 supply lines and the fixtures were added and this portion of the house was completed. Fast-forward to 2019. I had the drywall in the hallway cut out, a bit, to see what was behind the curtain as I sought to update the shower fixtures. Hmmmm, what's wrong with this picture? Cut away MORE drywall. Yep, the hot H20 supply was clearly visible, the center diverter was snugly behind the BEDROOM door frame, and the cold H20 supply was farther down the street behind drywall in the room currently known as my office. ENTER TODD: The real deal professional plumber complete with baggy pants that could possibly fall down at any moment. Affable, skilled, strong, positive, and very, very RESIDENTIAL CUSTOMER service and PROBLEM SOLVING focused. He made the needed deep cut out of the drywall that allowed him to reach the farthest H20 supply and diverted it back, closer to the other one, putting the plumbing for the shower more in reach (more than it had been). Fixtures and valve replaced. Shut off valves checked. New shower head and faucet attached. What could have been a major overall (and a huge expense and mess) wound up staying within the budget, even though it threw off Todd’s schedule by a LOT. No complaints from him. Nothing but positivity and professionalism. Many, many thanks to Todd.

My technician, Daniel Joyner, did a fine job in repairing my tub lever and overflow pipe. My only suggestion is for the invoice to be itemized, showing how much for parts, labor, etc.

I contacted this company to repair my tankless water heater. They sent two men to my house two times. They were there 6 to 7 hours. And it still was not repaired. They provided an exorbitant estimate to do additional work. I just had the job done in one hour by another plumber for half of what their estimate was. Beware of doing business with this company.

We scheduled an appointment a week ago for a free estimate, supposed to be today. Then they called this morning to say that they needed to charge us $70 to just come out and give the estimate, despite a very clear prior conversation. We planned our entire work schedule around this during a busy time and took off this morning to be here. Now, we will be spending it looking for new plumbers that are more honest and reliable.

My house is a little older and when installing a new drop arm the old piece broke off. Neil came out before his service window time (which I always appreciate), explained my options, the process for each, as well as the cost. He was in and out in 40 minutes and did an amazing job! PlumbV is still my #1 go to plumber!

I really thought I would like this company. They started off well and l thought l would use them for further work l needed but customer service after l paid for the work was poor and l will definitely not use them again.

I woke up early this morning to a surprise water leak in my home. After attempting to contact several plumbers who purportedly provided emergency service in the area, PlumbV was the one that responded. To be honest, I would have been happy with literally any plumber at that point I was at, but I was pleasantly surprised with the experience I ended up having.

I wish I remembered the name of the coordinator that I spoke with, but I'm eternally thankful. While PlumbV is certainly not the cheapest plumber I've worked with in the past ($69 trip charge which was rolled into the work + $300 surcharge for emergency service just to get onsite), the coordinator who worked with me was great at answering all of my questions, especially as I catastrophized a bit about how if this plumbing issue could turn into a major issue, having already spent a considerable amount this year on a water line repair. They were great with me though, and I totally appreciated it.

Raji showed up promptly, and worked with me as we worked to trace the source of the water. I'm not a plumber, but I can collect data points and look for trends, and both Raji and the service coordinator were happy to listen to me, and thankful for the thoroughness of the data I collected. Somewhat fortunately, the issue turned out not to be a plumbing issue per se, but a HVAC issue (heat exchanger drip pan line was clogged). However, during my early morning investigations, it turned out I discovered a potential for disaster in the future, which Raji was more than willing to assist with. Given the age of the home and the polybutylene piping throughout it, he also recommended we do a little additional work with adding an expansion tank to try and mitigate future issues before they happen with this absolutely fantastic product of plumbing. Raji was more than happy to help me understand the situations we had going on, and spoke to me on my level.

I didn't just receive excellent service on a weekend when folks would rather be spending time with family and friends or relaxing from a long week instead of calling clients and splicing pipes. I learned a lot, and I feel like instead of just a service provider, I have a new partner for my plumbing needs.

We had a major pipe repair that needed to be done. Being new to the area, we weren't sure who to call. We just picked a couple of places to give us quotes and PlumbV was the first to respond with the best price and could get us on the schedule the quickest. They were so great! Tracy was very knowledgeable and professional. He communicated with us every day and walked us through the whole process. We would definitely recommend Plumb V!

With the unusually long freeze we had and pipes bursting all over the area, it was impossible to get a plumber to return my call let alone actually fix my pipes. Todd and Matthias came earlier after I made an appointment for same-day service. They arrived ready to work and completed the repair to my main sewer line in less than 45 minutes. I don't know about the value aspect. At just under $400, I thought the service was expensive. They did use a fancy machine, but I've found that I could buy the machine myself and have money left over. On the other hand, they know how to use the machine, which is more than I can say for myself.

I've used plumbv twice, and both times they made no real attempt to fix the faulty part, instead they immediately suggested a full replacement part with an insane markup. The first time, I wasn't totally sure this is what was going on. And with the high dispatch fee, you feel like you can't reject the ridiculously high replacement price or you'll be out the dispatch fee and still stuck with a plumbing issue.

PlumbV is amazing, and we've used them twice now. First, we had them install our bathroom plumbing when we finished our basement and they did a great job. The second time, we still had their number around for when a shower in another part of the house wouldn't turn off. When we called them, they were responsive and very understanding. They made room for us, and were at our house quickly with the exact right part to fix the problem. Each time, the person they sent was professional and extremely knowledgeable. On top of that, their rates are extremely fair.
It's nice to find quality service that you can rely on.

We were under duress when our newly purchased 1947 farmhouse that suffered from a deteriorated sewer pipe that fractured during foundation repair. Markus and Ken were able to schedule us into their schedule, renovating the entire system, getting us back to full operation in a day. They were very professional and did excellent work in a timely manner, highly recommend their service and will be our go to plumbers during our future renovations.

The crew with Plumb V did a fine job on my water issue. Was not present to witness the job but they were timely, kept me in the loop via phone calls and completed the entire job even when they discovered the pump needed to be replaced. Not having the pump on hand they acquired a new one within an hour and completed the job in one afternoon. I will call PlumbV for future issues.

Tech arrived on time and after completing his diagnostic he explain me what needed to be replaced and the amount of the whole labor. Tracy fixed a long-standing plumbing issue in our 1960’s house. The kitchen sink used a ‘gray water’ line to drain into the backyard. After 50+ years it failed and the only legal solution was to connect it to the main sewer. The problem was that the main sewer was located under the foundation slab. Tracy found a way to connect it after a great deal of digging and working in very tight spaces. It is finally fixed and we look forward to never having a slow drain in the kitchen again!

Henry Negron was my service person for the replacement of an outdoor hose spigot. He did a great job and made sure to replace it with a frost-free spigot like the one I already had. He also took the time to find my very hidden water shutoff valve near the street. The work was completed quickly and professionally. Update 8/24 - Updating to 3* as I received a call from the business first thing Monday with probably the best handling of an issue I've ever encountered. The representative first apologized, then informed me he had spent the morning researching my issue and I had a right to be upset as my request had been lost. He quickly scheduled someone to come out this week to complete the work. I appreciated PlumbV taking responsibility and acting quickly and professionally to correct.

Original: I've been happy with PlumbV in the past but have since lost confidence with them. Approved an estimate from them at the very beginning of June. It is now halfway through August and I haven't heard a thing. I've called and emailed multiple times and keep getting multiple stories. Someone told me months ago that a permit had been applied for but I don't see any permit information on our local city website. I feel like they owe *ME* money at this point for the amount of time I've had to put into following up with them to try to get this work done. I appreciate there is a lot of work but I don't think that is an excuse to treat (potential) customers poorly.

ETA: while I appreciate the prompt response, I can't help but wonder how many customers that you have with my name with unfulfilled estimates from early June. Plumbv saved the day! Tragedy always seems to happen when I have company over for the holidays. They were here within a couple hours the evening before Thanksgiving with a new waterheater and were still reasonably priced. Their employees Keith and Desmond were very nice and did a great job too. Company called approximately 2 hours before the scheduled appointment to say we were out of their service area. We are in He Derain and they advertise they serve Oxford, Kitrell, Louisburg and areas well beyond Raleigh. So now I’m a week without water and again trying to find a plumber and waiting on another appointment. They have failed to return messages where I have tried to discuss this issue. Do NOT recommend if they do this to customers. PIOR BUSINESS PRACTICE.

Ken from PlumbV came to our house last week to assure us that we needed the main water line from the meter to our house replaced. This was after we had another plumbing company come and came to that conclusion. There were no leaks in the house, so it must be the main water line. The other company's off the cuff estimate was very high so, I was definitely going to get others and one of my neighbors recommended PlumbV. Ken was very assuring and gave us a reasonable estimate, so we got on his calendar, which was sooner than our other company. Ken did the job very quickly and professionally. There was a loud thumping noise in pipes. It was determined quickly that the PSI coming into the house was 175, way to high. Pressure valve was replaced and problem resolved. Knowledgeable service technician did a great job.

PlumbV was able to get someone to my house within a couple of hours. The plumber went under the crawl space and diagnosed the issue immediately. He fixed it, vacuumed out the water, checked everything else, gave me an estimate for other things, and took pictures to show me. He was profesional and I think the fee was reasonable. I will definitely use PlumbV again.

What a great experience! I had an emergency with a broken hot water heater flooding our basement and well, no hot water. I looked online for local plumbers and every review I read about PlumbV was 5 star and described how great their service was so I called! They were there within a few hours and by 4pm, I had a new tankless hot water heater. Ken was our technician and he was awesome. When I called, I left a voicemail but before I was even done leaving it, Marcus was calling me and was super friendly and helpful and informative of what he needed to do to get them out to the house giving me time lines etc. Matt, the owner, came out and was super helpful in answering my husband's questions about our first ever tankless system. I'm replacing my former 5 - Star review of PlumbV with the lowest review possible because I fundamentally disagree with how they back their services and value customers. Note that the original owner of the company is no longer there, so perhaps the issue is with some of the newer management.

I worked with PlumbV for over a year when renovating my house in Chapel Hill and they did all of my plumbing work (repiping the entire house, 4 bathrooms, kitchen, etc.). Overall their work was good, and though a couple of the plumbers in the crew were less than satisfactory, the owner sent better plumbers to fix their work when necessary and I was happy.

The issue I have with them is that I have one shower with three different shower heads with a diverter valve that they have never managed to make operate correctly (only two of the heads work). I've paid for all the fixtures and I've paid for them to install it correctly. They have come back to repair it multiple times and the last time they did so, for some reason I believed that they had addressed the issue. However, I was wrong. We didn't end up discovering until the middle of the pandemic that they in fact never fixed the problem, so it still doesn't work correctly.

I thought this wouldn't be a problem, since they've always stood by their work in the past, I've given them a great deal of business, and we have a good relationship, they would take care of it since it never worked in the first place. Unfortunately, I was wrong. While they don't dispute that they made an error, they refuse to address the issue unless I pay them full price for a repair, supposedly because too much time has passed (it has been years, but again it never worked correctly and they don't dispute this fact - they didn't even offer to come out and investigate if the issue is due to faulty installation or possibly a part breakage).

If you're ok with this approach to customer service, by all means hire them. If you expect a company that stands by their work and does the right thing, you might want to look elsewhere.

I refuse to pay them to do the same job twice and don't believe that integrity has an expiration date.

I've been extremely happy with PlumbV. They took on my renovation job after my original plumber had an injury and in addition to quickly filling in, Neil Devlin (their estimator) has been an absolute pleasure to work with. He is smart, customer oriented, accessible, knowledgeable and helpful. The entire PlumbV team has been great and I'm happy to know that I've found my plumbers! I'd happily recommend them to anyone.

First we agreed on a price to migrate from a single sink vanity to a double sink vanity in a bathroom. They came and put in pieces to plumb both sinks which then allowed me time to finish sheetrock and paint. A different crew then came and hooked up the double vanity. It is now working as planned. I had contacted two other plumbers who wanted nothing to do with the project. Very professional, nice demeanor and good communicators.

We've used PlumbV many times over the last several years and have been very happy every time they've been here. We've had both Matt (the owner) and members of his team out to the house for various repairs and have found everyone to be prompt, courteous and above all, conscientious about cost and solving the problem correctly, the first time. We've had faucets and toilet parts replaced, various miscellaneous plumbing issues resolved, a new laundry sink/vanity installed and an emergency main sewer line replacement (after a landscaper drove a stake through our sewer line causing every sink and toilet to back up with water). When our master bath jetted tub had a stripped faucet handle that would no longer turn the water on or off, Matt immediately identified the problem and even though the faucet was 10 years old and we're not the original homeowners so we had no idea what model faucet it was, Matt called the manufacturer himself and worked with them to figure out the correct part that was needed and returned to replace it for a reasonable charge. We'd used several plumbers in the area before we tried PlumbV so we know what's out there. Now, PlumbV is the only plumber we'll call.

I had a great experience with Richard from PumbV! I called with a non-emergency broken bathroom faucet on Wednesday, and got an appointment for the next day. Richard showed up promptly Thursday morning, and didn't even charge me for the visit when he found he couldn't simply repair the faucet. We planned to have me buy a new faucet and set up another appointment for him to replace a downstairs faucet and move it where the broken one was (since the broken faucet was part of a matched pair that's not available anymore). Later in the day, Richard called me to offer to come back, since he'd had a cancellation. He got the job done quickly and for half of what I was expecting. I couldn't be happier with the job and will ask for Richard again next time I need help!

My outdoor faucet broke and I had to shut off the well pump. This meant no water for nothing coming into my home. Thankfully they came out and I definitely will be using their services again.

These guys rock! Had to call them at 6:45 in the morning for a busted water tank with water all over the place and they came and installed a new system incredibly fast and were extremely professional. I would recommend these guys to anyone!

The service was done quickly and effectively. They were able to look at the problem and fix it in the same day. While price was a little high for a good fix, there were options for a quick fix (~$400) or long term solution (~$1500). I was also made awear of any issues that could arise as they were unable to enter the house. Overall it was a good experience and I will be using them again for the long term solution when I have the money for it.

Not a good value. Costed $69 just to have someone come out to give us an overpriced quote. We ended up going with another plumber who performed the repair for less and no diagnostic fee - over a hundred dollars in difference.

This is the second time PlumbV has come out for a plumbing job. Both experiences have been very good, and the issues resolved. Gregory, the plumber who came out today, was courteous, careful, and thorough. The problem we were having this time was a complicated one (in an older house with an addition done by a previous owner...), and he methodically worked through solutions from easy to harder until he was able to diagnose and solve our problem. If (or I should probably say when) we need a plumber for other issues, I would call them again, and be happy if Gregory was assigned to the job!

I’ve had two visits from the company recently, with the first being inspection of my home’s plumbing problems requiring replacement and/or repair with professional advice on which to prioritize. This visit today was the next step in the repair of my plumbing issues focusing on the washing machine and there will be another visit scheduled in the not so distant future for installation of a new water heater. The service providers I met last week and this week have been friendly, polite and knowledgeable in their work, cleaned up work areas thoroughly and offered clear explanations of what the repairs entailed.

Fantastic experience. Loved Nate who was kind and courteous, explained everything perfectly and was honest about the pricing. The time windows for arrival were also short and spot on. He didn’t keep me waiting all day.

Just the dispatch fee is $150 and it’s not mentioned in the appointment email, so when I was calling I misunderstood it as the full estimate. The full estimate with fixing water pressure, replacing a toilet flushing mechanism, and replacing the flapper is close to a ridiculous 1k, and I was able to get another quote for just less than 400
