Don't bother with going to anyone else in the Carrboro area. Carrboro Plumbing needs to be your first call. The reps are very nice and explain what is happening. Eric is responsive and the office team keeps you in the loop. Will they be able to come immediately? Maybe. Maybe not. But that is the nature of the plumbing business and not a fault. They will be much more responsive than anyone else and in the end you will be MUCH happier. All the others in the local area were all too willing to charge me $3k to $6k for a new water heater but any repair put me on the wait list. Carrboro Plumbing was out the next day and fixed everything to my satisfaction for a 10th of the cost.

David has helped diagnose and quickly resolve issues for us twice now! As new home owners, we've found it is hard to find contractors who are responsive, trustworthy, and knowledgeable. David is all of those things.

Most recently, we had sewage backing up from our downstairs shower drain - not something you want to ever experience, especially when you're nine months pregnant! David came out the next day - earlier than he originally promised - and resolved the issue within a few hours at a very reasonable rate. A true lifesaver!! Would highly recommend.

Rob called en route (right on time!) and was a pleasure to work with. He spent some time investigating, addressed the exact issue and when I shared I was a new homeowner, he encouraged me to learn alongside him so I was more informed about how the different pieces worked and some tips for the future. Remarkably good and honest. Here's one story that illustrates:

- We had raw sewage coming out of our basement drain - the result of some odd plumbing decisions made by a prior owner combined with a grey water system modern houses don't have (our house was built in the 1930s)

- Given the odd setup, the team initially tasked with our house decided to bring in Curry, the firm's owner, for additional perspective. On his first visit (the firm's second), he outlined a fairly extensive (and expensive!) rerouting of the plumbing. We readily agreed to that.

- But Curry acknowledged that he wasn't sure - and asked if he could return again with additional equipment before we moved forward. Of course, we agreed. On his return, Curry was able to identify the odd but generally workable setup that had caused the original problem and confirm that so long as a key pipe that had become blocked up is properly maintained, the multi-day plumbing exercise we'd been braced for was not needed.

Fixed our problem quickly and for a fair price!

This has literally been one of the best experiences I have ever had with plumbing repairs. Don came in and installed a new toilet for us and he was the most professional, kindest person that has helped us in a long time. He’s a great conversationalist, gave great advice, and is all-around a nice guy. Thanks CDK for having such a wonderful company with such amazing people!!!

Main was backed up, called them and they were here the next day. As a customer they were very communicative - which I really appreciate- from someone trying to analyze the situation over the phone(perhaps the owner), the person setting up the appointment to the techs here in person (they were awesome). Everyone was professional, to the point, no up-selling, and communicative. I felt things went as smooth as they could and will definitely reach out to Them first should I have any plumbing work or issues in the future. Would recommend to anyone considering work.

Bought an old house that needed a ton of repairs - sinks installed, showers switched out, etc etc. Basically everything and anything plumbing related was needed. Ethan with Joseph Rose responded quickly, gave us a free estimate, and his pricing was also the best from the quotes we got. He was able to start within 2 weeks. Organized, efficient, professional and honest. Can't really ask for anything more. I also felt very safe with home alone as a woman which is important. Great service - would hire again.

Showed up same day and found the leak in my shower and repaired it promptly and affordably. This was done 1 year ago and we have had no issues since. I would recommend this company.

We had plumbing issues with sewage line, called this company and they were her within 30 minutes. The 2 gentleman was very polite and went right to work. They also advised us to call the Durham water company who also arrived within the hour. Their fee was very reasonable! Would definitely advise anyone with plumbing issues to give them a call.

We've been using Gene for about a year now, both on our rental property and the house we live in. He's a trustworthy, honest person with tons of experience who does great work. He's great and we don't consider calling anyone else.
