Had noticed a water mark on the wood threshold leading to our master bathroom, next to the tiled shower. Checked underneath the shower and inside it and couldn't figure out its source.

Sim came out and tested several possible sources of the leak and found it to be coming from a (manufacturers') hole in the aluminum shower threshold by the hinge. Thankful to learn the source of the problem so we can fix it!!!

We are remodeling our 50yo master bathroom and the tub was a one-piece unit. The crew sent to replace the old tub with a larger new tub did a fantastic job. The framing was not square and it was a difficult job to get the new unit places and re-install new plumbing. The crew did not give up and followed through until the installation was completed. Definitely would recommend Carrboro Plumbing for any project.

I contracted Carrboro Plumbing to Install an RO water system for our kitchen. The model that I ordered did not come with all of the correct peices and they worked with me and the manufacturer to ensure that everything was installed correctly. We had an incredible experience with Carrboro Plumbing. We have used them twice so far. The company is run by a local couple. They are very responsive, professional and they do great work in a faster time frame than most local companies.

I was very pleased with the work done by Carrboro Plumbing. My On Demand Hot Water Heater had never been flushed and they were recommended to do this. The plumber was safe, wore masks and shoe covers. I will recommend them to anyone.

If you are looking for honest and reliable company, call Carrboro Plumbing. Chris (the owner) and his associates just spent a whole morning diagnosing a very tricky issue with our plumbing. They explained the issue to me and offered various options to address this. Given the challenging diagnosis, they were very reasonable about the labor and charges. They will be our go to from now on.

Although I did cancel the plumbing service twice (once by phone, and once by e-mail) the plumber still came by the tenets house. At two different occasions - uninvited ! (how embarrassing). Yes, they tried to resolve the plumbing problem however I did not ask for their opinion/help. Lastly I offered them not to charge me for their mistake and/or decrease the charges by 1/2 !! With little luck, I still got charged $95 for the service call, which is higher then other plumbing services charge, either locally or every from the Raleigh/Durham area. Chris is indeed very nice and surely capable. I am just saying carful what you ask for.

Outstanding service all around. Sent email listing a number of projects I needed to have done in home I had recently purchased. (Remove old toilet ... Service and Adjust tankless whole house hot water heater units ... remove outside island sink and cap drain and water lines ... clean slow drains ... etc.); I had done my research before selecting Carrboro Plumbing and I was not disappointed. Jeff arrived ahead of schedule and tackled every project listed in four hours. I was amazed and thought it would take two trips. He even crawled the entire house crawl space to cap the outside sink and drain lines under the crawl. Jeff discovered one of the tankless hot water units had a bad element , ordered a new part, and returned to replace it. Five Plumbing Wrenches Up! Great Job and Service!

How many ways can I rave about Carrboro Plumbing? I had a long going issue with my washer drain flooding for years and had multiple plumbers come in, fix it, and then months later it would happen again. Finally Jeff came in and carefully considered the situation, and did the deep dive in replacing pipes that had accumulating years of gunk-- not just there but in my kitchen, too, without me even asking about it. He did the same for an issue I had with horrible water pressure-- so thorough, careful and patient, and ended fixing more than that issue. I had to have my whole water line moved due to construction and would only trust CP to do it, and the crew that was here for two days did a totally thorough job, was super respectful and explained everything, and took care not to damage by baby plants right by a trench they had to dig without me even bringing them to their attention (and in the winter even.) They are just the best around for so many reasons, and you'll be lucky if they can fit you into their in-demand schedule! :)

I contacted Carrboro plumbing about repairing a cast iron toilet flange and setting a new toilet. I sent pictures of the flange and Chris emailed within the hour to explain possible approaches. On the day of our appointment, Sim arrived and indicated that they had again reviewed the pictures that morning. I appreciate that they were so well prepared for the appointment. Sim fixed the flange for significantly less expense than a previous plumber had estimated and we are very happy with the result. I will only use Carrboro Plumbing from now on. Outstanding and trustworthy.

Our main water pipe sprung a leak, and Linda was super helpful and kind in getting us an appointment set and answering our questions. Jeff visited our home for an inspection, was extremely knowledgeable, kind-hearted (even to my son who escaped the house to watch), and fast! He fit us in a week ahead of schedule, and even continued to work as it started to rain. Reasonable fees and super kind and supportive folks when you find yourself in a bind. Absolutely recommend!

STEER CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY, WHAT A RIP OFF!!
I contacted Carrbor plumbing because it had very good reviews, big mistake. Although the technician was nice and seemed to know what he was doing, I truly feel I got over charged. When a customer is asking how much something will cost, then the expectation is that you are giving an accurate estimate. I was told that because of part of my job was unique it was uncertain how many hours it would take but I was given an a worst case scenario of 4 hours I was told the cost would be $600.00. Well the job only took 2 1/2 hours but because of parts that were used my bill was over the estimated amount. If I'm asking for a cost I expect that parts are a part of that estimate. If the plumber has been in this trade for any amount of time he should be able to estimate parts, fairly close at least. Also, the parts mark up was ridiculously high, over double what it would cost to buy them at home depot. The technician also claimed that he changed an aerator on the bathroom sink (because it was corroded) which is absolutely false as I just changed that aerator 2 or 3 months ago with free ones I got from a Duke Energy program. I will never use this company again.

Excellent service and great pricing. We had a leak in our crawl space and we couldn’t pinpoint the source. Jeff found the source (hall tub/shower) within a minute. While checking out the inside, I mentioned our toilet that doesn’t flush well and the one in the primary that recently started making noise. He quickly and efficiently repaired both and saved us what could have been a very high water bill. Definitely five star service!

Just a real great operation. We needed some water heater help. They checked the issue, offered a repair, applied the fix, tested, good to go.

Carrboro Plumbing was responsible for an overhaul of all 3 of our bathrooms, as well as replacing the supply valves in our laundry room. The work they did was great, and their staff was very friendly and helpful. I felt very comfortable with them in my family's home doing the work, and they took the time to ask questions if they weren't sure of what we wanted. I'd highly recommend them.

Chris and his staff are very professional, show up on time, and his quotes are always right on. I wouldn't call anyone else to do repairs or for remodeling.

I've been using Carrboro Plumbing since 2009 for my in home plumbing needs as well as repairs to my rental properties. Chris and his crew are hands down the best plumbing company in the area--they're honest, easy to work with and more than fair on pricing. I couldn't recommend them enough.

I contacted Carrboro Plumbing for my 80 year old mom. She had a leaking water heater that needed replacing. Was easy to make an appointment, they communicated well and were on time. At first the two men that showed up were very nice, helpful and ready to get the job done. It was a tight fit into a closet in my mom's bathroom. They did inform us they would need to remove some of the door molding to get the water heater in. But they would replace it back the best they could.
The job ended up taking about 6 hours with 4 men eventually. The water heater was installed and works fine. The mess left by the 4 men proved to ruin the good work they did do.
The walls around the closet were left with black finger print marks and scuffs. The floor in her bathroom around the closet was left the same way. The closet door frame was barely put back together. And most parts of the framing was just left off. I cleaned the walls with a Mr Clean sponge,something they could carry, and my 80 year old mom cleaned her own floor before I got there. I repaired the door frame. The door does not close properly any more. This was a $1250 job.
Will not be using Carrboro Plumbing again.

Update:The owners response was inaccurate. The invoice was not reduced. We were told via email the charge was $1250, but if we felt we should only pay $1200 that was fine. I emailed the company about the issues with pictures and never received a response. They never offered to rectify the damage they did. Positive now I would never use them again. Very unprofessional.

Very professional team of folks-- they got back to me quickly and when they were not available fast enough to fix my problem, they got me a referral to somebody who could!

Don't bother with going to anyone else in the Carrboro area. Carrboro Plumbing needs to be your first call. The reps are very nice and explain what is happening. Eric is responsive and the office team keeps you in the loop. Will they be able to come immediately? Maybe. Maybe not. But that is the nature of the plumbing business and not a fault. They will be much more responsive than anyone else and in the end you will be MUCH happier. All the others in the local area were all too willing to charge me $3k to $6k for a new water heater but any repair put me on the wait list. Carrboro Plumbing was out the next day and fixed everything to my satisfaction for a 10th of the cost.

Mark came out to repair a leaking toilet connected to a pipe that is set in a concrete floor. The old flange was cracked. The pipe was surrounded by concrete such that a new flange would not fit properly (and the old one was probably never installed properly). Instead of making the problem worse, Mark suggested that he consult with Chris and other colleagues and come back. By the second visit, the fix was complete!

We are very happy with the outcome and that they did so with minimal damage to the concrete (just chiseled around the pipe to make it mate with the new flange). What was cut out did not show once the toilet was set into position thus saving us further hassle had the hole been bigger.

Mark described the problem to us and possible solutions with this more tricky situation (and potential problems that might be encountered along the way). Because of the Mark's excellent communication, we were kept informed, had no surprises and were confident in the solution. It is nice to have the toilet fixed properly. They were on time for the visits. The rates are on par with other plumbers in the area.

Did a great job. Very happy with price and effective repairs. He also noticed a problem I hadn't seen and fixed that as well. Cannot go wrong with Carrboro Plumbing. But do not use their recommendations when they are too busy because I was very unhappy with their recommendated substitute plumber.

Chris Kreutzer, owner of Carrboro Plumbing, recently came to my home at 6 p.m. on a Friday to repair a cracked supply line at one of the toilets, which was leaking on the hardwood floor. At my request, he also replaced the similar lines on the other two toilets, plus one old fill valve and an angle stop, and he adjusted one other fill valve. Chris was very efficient, completing all the work in one hour, and he is exceptionally knowledgeable, intelligent, courteous and competent. In short, he and Carrboro Plumbing provided everything one could want in plumbing service in exemplary fashion; in addition, his charge for the occasion was very reasonable. I highly recommend Carrboro Plumbing!

Carrboro Plumbing is a first rate plumbing company, they were prompt, skilled and solved all our plumbing issues in one visit.

The job at my house was a leaky toilet plus a clogged shower drain with the drain cover frozen in place. Not the most challenging job to be sure, but difficult enough that I hadn't been able to fix the problems myself. I was impressed by Carrboro Plumbing's efficiency and responsiveness. It took them less than 30 minutes to fix both problems, and the bill was reasonable. The plumber (Corey/Korey, not sure how to spell his name) was friendly and arrived early. Communication from the office was excellent.

We have been using Carrboro Plumbing for 2 years now, and they are, hands down, the best contractor we've ever worked with. The service level is unparalleled and the workmanship is better than any other plumber we've ever worked with (by far). The team is responsive and fast, and you can really tell that this is a family-run business. Chris, Emily, and Linda typically get back to me within a few hours for standard things; they get back to me ASAP when it's an emergency. And we've had a bunch of the team out for projects and they're all top notch. Jeff and Corey are the two we've worked with most and the quality of their work is incredible. We've never had any issues. I'm always so impressed with how much they hustle, too. On projects where they charge hourly, they make really efficient use of time. They're definitely trying to add the most value for the homeowner. I feel like finding a good plumber is critical to being a homeowner. I do handy things around the house, but I leave plumbing to the pros. And this team is consummately professional. I recommend them to everybody who needs a plumber, and I feel very lucky that I found them.

The first time that I used Carrboro Plumbing was when they were the only plumbers to come out on a pouring Sunday evening to replace my water heater that had busted and was leaking. They dragged a new water heater though the mud, in the dark, in the heavy rain.
Through the years they have fixed all of my plumbing issues with excellence, intelligence, and politeness. They have been on time and clean up nicely. When unforeseen problems have come up they have calmly found solutions and finished the job. Recently Carrboro Plumbing fixed a water pressure issue that 3 plumbing companies and the County of Chatham could not diagnose or make better. I now have the best pressure I have ever had in the 15 years that I have lived in my house.Before that it was pathetic. They also found 2 leaks that were raising my water bill and stopped septic water that had been backing up in 2 sinks from poorly placed pipes.
I have never regretted calling or being dissatisfied with Carrboro Plumbing. I recommend them without reservation.

We had completed a bathroom renovation using a different plumber (Unfortunately, I did not know about Carrboro plumbing at the time). We quickly discovered our dream bathroom had turned into a nightmare because the original plumber had botched the job, leaving multiple problems: a hand shower incorrectly installed, leaking tub faucets, and we were finding water in our crawl space. I was desperate to find someone I could trust to evaluate what was going on and make the necessary repairs.
I contacted Carrboro plumbing and Linda listened to my concerns with empathy and got us quickly scheduled. Jeff, the plumber, came out exactly on time and quickly figured out the problems we were having, including finding the source of the water in the crawl space- the original plumber never even connected the shower drain.
Part of our bathroom renovation had involved tiling the bathroom and shower. Jeff worked meticulously to problem solve a way to access the plumbing without cutting or damaging the tile. This was no easy feat because it involved cutting multiple small windows into the back of a built in entertainment center that was behind the bathroom wall, and working through those.
I am forever grateful to Jeff, Linda, and the Carrboro Plumbing team and can’t recommend them highly enough. We will never use a different plumber now that we’ve found these guys.
Their pricing is straightforward and fair. They clearly are experts at what they do, and work efficiently, but beyond that, they really seem to care. Carrboro Plumbing has done three repairs since I purchased my home in Chapel Hill. I have used several other plumbers in the area for my previous home and rental property. Carrboro Plumbing is by far the best provider I have found. Scheduling is easy and efficient. They arrive on time and prepared for the job. The plumber does a great job explaining the problem and solutions. They complete repairs in a timely manner. Their hourly rates are extremely competitive for this area and they do a good job of explaining the cost of each repair. I would not hesitate to recommend them or use them again in the future.
