Best Plumbing System in Anchorage AK

Probably the worst experience I’ve ever had working with a company. I went with them to install a gas insert which was installed all wrong. I expected the owner of the business to care more about the issue but instead he threatened my husband to put a lein on our home instead of remedy any of the bill. Might I add we didn’t receive the bill for 7 months after the work was done because they were sending it to the wrong email. No call until 7 months later which I immediately called back. The job was done so poorly that it showed up on my home inspection when selling! He called the inspector uneducated to this situation and me a liar. Don’t give these guys a dime of your money. I’m appalled at the amount of money I paid to be so unhappy with the job done.

Well, the plumber arrived on time, was polite, and stopped my leak. That is the good part. My pipe is obviously corroding out. I wanted to know why. No real answer. He took the corroded pipe with him, so I couldn't examine it carefully. I had asked the dispatcher that they replace the pipe with PEX, so it wouldn't corrode again. He didn't bring any. I asked him to do both the hot water side (which is leaking) and the cold water side (which appears corroded). he didn't do the cold. I asked him to replace a leaking outside faucet. He didn't bother to even look at it. The cost was $527 for 3 hours of work plus $91 in parts. $145 an hour for labor, which was...high. So overall, I paid a lot of money to solve my immediate problem, which is pretty frustrating. I waited a month for this appointment, the last week of which I had buckets catching water. I don't feel comfortable closing up the ceiling till the rest of the work I wanted is done. I guess I'm doing it myself.

Drainmasters answered quickly and professionally. I was quoted a time they would be there and they were right on time. Two employees came out and addressed my issues wearing booties and gloves careful to clean any resulting messes. When my job requires additional needs they scheduled the needs and quickly fixed the plumbing issues. I am very pleased with the service and pricing!

Ive used them for years and have noticed that once they got big the quality greatly diminished. I've had them tell clients a 3 year old boiler needs replaced when 3 other second opinions disagree, They have bid to replace a hot water heater then are not be able to install a new one because they failed to measure properly AFTER everything was ripped out. They installed my entire system in 2017 for nearly $20,000. 2 years later their service tech told me it was installed improperly not knowing they did it. They broke a major component of my boiler while servicing it then charged me for it, then the warranty work on a hot water heater turned into them forgetting to tighten a pipe resulting in water damage for 3 days. Which I found when I showed up to clean up their trash from outside my mechanical room and in my lawn. To top it all off. They sent an invoice to a wrong e-mail and address last march. Which I never received. So instead of calling me, they sent it to collections after 11 months. When I asked why they just didn't call my number on the invoice. The billing lady (Carrie) said they are too busy to do that. After years of issues and countless complains from me and friends. I will not be using them every again. Even for warranty work likely needed.

Just purchased a new home and a few months pass then the blower motor starts to hum. I put a claim in with my home warranty company and they dispatched Flow Star. Sean the service tech did his due diligence and confirmed my suspicions about the blower motor. He also checked the airflow at the registers and discovered we had a CO2 leak and because of that he wouldn’t be able to repair it and we were looking at a new furnace in our future. Sean was very polite and knowledgeable and even took time to tell us his back story and how happy he was to be working for a union company. Steve, the man behind the phone, was also very personable and took the time to answer all my questions and got us an invoice and on the schedule for the install very promptly! Joe (journeyman) and “Tini” (apprentice) arrived on time for install and were extremely personable and professional! Being a former sheet metal Union man myself I was very happy to find out this was a union company! I couldn’t be more pleased with Flow Star and will definitely recommend them for anybody’s HVAC needs and will definitely keep them top of my list for plumbing and heating needs!

Diamond heating is absolutely amazing! We wanted to replace our entire heating and hot water system. We have an odd combination unit where the boiler does our forced air and our hot water. We contacted 3 companies and Sam from Diamond was the only one to take the time to explain to us what we had and explain his recommendation for our replacement and why he recommended that. Originally, we were only going to do only our hot water, but with our unit and how old they both were, it just made sense to rip the bandaid and do it all. I wish they had a plumber so they could have done a water softener to go with it!My only complaint is they started the project before having the air handler in hand and we had to go a week with no heat. It has been scheduled to be delivered on Thursday and they didn’t get it until Monday afternoon. Since our heating wasn’t an emergency, I would have been happy waiting. I considered doing less stars, but they went above and beyond to ensure we would be ok. They called daily and offered more space heaters. They went out of their way to make it right. After working with Diamond, I trust them for all my future HVAC needs.

Tony was wonderful. Came out to figure what why my hot water pilot light would not stay lit. He came over right away and told what it was. He fixed it and I’m so thankful.

Call Burton Repair for my parents. My parents are both retired.Their furnace wasn't working and they had no-heat, outside temperatures were -1 to -10. A Tech keep out in a few hours of my call and made furnace repairs. Thank God for Companies like Burton's. Amazing staff and skillful work...

I called Denali Sewer and Drain when my sewer service froze. The steam hose became lodged in my service. The technician tied it to his truck to free it but ended up breaking my cleanout and tearing the hose. He drove away, leaving the hose in my sewer. The company didn't offer to help even though I called repeatedly. A full 24 hours later they offered to send someone out but I had already called another contractor.

I feel like Denali Sewer and Drain took advantage of me and I hope they don't treat other customers this way. They didn't communicate any of the risks to me and they should have stayed to fix my sewer after they broke the hose.

Hot water heater went out. These guys responded, and were at my house fixing it within a couple hours. Would definitely recommend.

I had a pipe under my kitchen sink with a small hole in it and water coming out. After calling Summit Mechanical, Bill was fixing my problem in less than an hour and didn't charge extra because it was after 5pm. Had my pipe fixed within a few minutes. Very knowledgeable. Excellent service!!! Summit Mechanical will be the first company I call when needing any plumbing services.

I had a problem with the heater in my garage, Ed was prompt, informative and when I asked about a noise I hadn't heard before after it being fixed, Ed stopped by the next day to see what the noise was. Excellent service, and I really appreciated Ed telling me about a rates and how much things would cost. Very upfront, no hidden fees. Would recommend Ed to family and friends.
