I just want to say that we had both an air conditioning and heating unit installed in our house. Bill was our go to guy for this job. He took care of us and made sure everything got done that needed to get done. There were some hiccups along the way but Smith plumbing worked hard to make sure everything got done the way it needed to get done. The unit has heated and cooled our house well so far. Thank you for all of your help.

Plumber did not show up for a scheduled and confirmed appointment. When I called him he gave me an unapologetic excuse about the dispatcher making a mistake, and he promised to call me the following morning to reschedule. I never heard back from him. Very disappointing because this company was well recommended and their failure to appear caused me to have to postpone a major renovation project

Very easy to schedule a technician to come out for a basic service call. The technician (Keith) called first and even arrived a few minutes early. He was very professional, friendly, and competent. There was corrosion and issues with some of the coils in the furnace so Keith scheduled a senior tech to follow up at no additional cost. Charles came the next day. Charles called prior to arrival to make sure the time was still good and arrived exactly when he said he would.Charles spent a tremendous amount of time going over the furnace, examining the heat exchanger, evaporator, gas vents, drains, and fan motor. He took a lot of pictures and patiently explained every detail of what he was doing.I'm very glad to chose WireNut. If Keith and Charles are typical examples of their employee, then they will have all of my future HVAC and electrical business.

Company is not trustworthy, they just want your money for a big install job instead of a cheaper simple repair:
I called in for a tenant-occupied unit experiencing buzzing at the breaker and no hot water. Plumber came out and said they needed an electrical tech to come out before he was able to diagnose the hot water issue. Electrical tech did maintenance on the panel, then we had hot water for about 12 hours before it went cold again. Plumber insisted we needed a new hot water heater. They are the pros so they should be able to correctly diagnose repair. This hot water heater was about 5 years old. After new install, we had hot water for about 12 hours, then no more hot water. The plumber came back out, called an electrician and the electrician replaced the breaker for the water heater. Then hot water was restored. I checked that a permit was pulled for a water heater with regional, because I specifically asked for a full permitted install and that was what was quoted. However, 2 weeks after the repair had passed and there was no permit pulled. A very demanding and confrontational lady called me leaving threatening messages demanding payment, even though the permit was not pulled and inspection was not completed. I insisted they pull the permit and the work pass inspection before paying. The permit was pulled and the plumbing and electrical inspections failed due to open wiring at the top of the electric water heater. I spoke with the company again and they suggested I pay more for additional work, which I refused. Their tech left wires exposed when he installed the water heater. I’m not responsible for paying for them to correct the mistake so I refused the additional ‘repair.’ Time passed and I received more threatening messages about my nonpayment with additional threats of a lien on my property. I researched water heaters and found out that a simple component part could have been replaced for much, much less money than this full permitted replacement. The plumbing manager at the company could not tell me that they took a resistance reading at the element to determine that the water heater needed replacement. Even if the element was bad, that is no reason to replace the entire unit. After pushing them, they finally corrected their wiring mistakes and passed inspection from regional. I will never use this company again because instead of doing a component part repair they suggested a full water heater replacement which is around $3000. The component they could have replaced on the water heater would have been $50 *at most.* not trustworthy, they just want your money for a big install job instead of a cheaper simple repair.

Met one of their techs at a convince store and he was extremely rude and confrontational. If his attitude is an indication of the service they provide, I’m not interested in working with this company.
