Javier has come out three times now for separate issues that have come up. Each time he has come one time, had a good attitude, and left me feeling more comfortable and provided useful information to help me understand the issue. All the fixes he has performed have left the sinks/toilets in better shape than before and now additional issues since. He has gone above and beyond to make sure we are doing the right thing to solve the problem. Any issue that comes up in the future I know I'll go to Javier!

I have used Vanguard Plumbing for a number of tasks in both my condo and for the building on behalf of our Condo Association. Recently, I hired them to replace the SumpPro battery backup unit for our building sump pumps.

The unit is located in a hard to reach area only about 4 feet tall and it weighs a total of 200 lbs with batteries. So i'd have to say, it's a back breaker of job. The guys showed up on time as I have come to expect from Vanguard. They removed the old unit and installed the new unit in under an hour. They left the area cleaner than what it was before they showed up. And Jan from Vanguard follows up after the job is completed to make sure everything was done to my satisfaction, which it was.

I looked on line for the prices of new SumpPro battery backup units (not including shipping costs), and the price was the same as what Vanguard quoted me. And of course, the quote from Vanguard included installation. So the decision to hire Vanguard was a no-brainer since the alternative was to pay more to buy it myself and I'd still have to do the installation.

I will continue to call Vanguard for my plumbing needs because I know I can count on them to do a thorough job and not take any short cuts.

We had a very rough time when our shower valve started leaking bad. I was amazed that 24 HR Emergency Plumber Chicago INC arrived a day after and delivered in half the time promised. I totally recommend their services and I look forward to working together if need be.

Not really a plumbing service and more of a dispatcher that has an emergency number but not enought staff sooo... It's a good emergency number when their contractors feel they can make a buck. If you're stuck with a major issue but it's not worth the plumbers time you're basically out of luck. Keep that in mind a simple clog isn't going to get fixed with them, you need something that is major. It may be a major issue for you but you're gonna feel like it's a low priority because they're not gonna get around to it for a while.

Thought it was ejector pump that needed replacing, but it was only the valve. Honest, professional service. Will use this company again. Highly recommend!

Service technician was knowledgeable and polite. My sink was unclogged. However your bank account will also be empty at the end of the service. Very over priced for a simple job. I only learned this after researching once the job was done. $499 for a simple unclogging. Didn't know that I could rent the same tool from home Depot's for a fraction of the price. Although the job was done, I would consider this unprofessional business practice. Again, the work was great but if you can do a bit of research you could save yourself some money. If you don't care about the cost, then this is the company for you.

The IL Consumer fraud act is intended to protect consumers against unfair and deceptive practices including but not limited to charging for goods and service. Overcharging consumers for simple unclogging can be seen as a misrepresentation effort, equipment, quality of service or skill to perform the service.

(815 ILCS 505) section 2

Objectively speaking: $499 for this service is overcharging. This was not a complicated or unique situation.

I booked an appointment for my parents' Rheem water heater that they had bought and installed 6 months prior. I was told this would be a free quote and they would be informed up front of the cost before work began which sounded great. The plumber arrived promptly and quoted my parents $1600 for the part he needed to fix it.They were appalled by the quote and of course did not want to spend that much money on a unit that cost them $1200. He charged them $180 and would't leave until he was paid. I was outraged upon hearing this and reached out to the company. I spoke with the plumber, who said they signed a contract for the $180. He stated he can't quote any repair unless he opens the unit and there is always a charge if he has to touch the unit. According to my parents', he rushed them to sign his tablet for showing up and never saw a contract. I got another plumber who fixed the problem. It turned out to be an igniter that Rheem ships out free. I asked to speak with the manager about resolution to this complaint on 2 occasions, but its been over 2 months and each time I was told the manager was out of town and would call me when he gets back. I called J Blanton because of all the good reviews they got, but after using them myself, I don't feel the reviews are warranted.

Henry answered my call immediately and within 24 hours my bathroom tub was clear. He was fast, professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. I have been looking for a plumber for a while and he will be in go-to plumber for all future plumbing needs.

I called Kuhn Plumbing because I needed help with the leak coming from the ceiling. 2 plumbers arrived and inspected the water damage. They were very kind to wear shoe protectors before going inside our house. They figured the leak was coming from the hot water pipe supplying our hallway bathroom. The plumbers took their time and got their materials from their car. They did a good job. I only wish they finished the job at a short time (plumbers would go in and out of the house to get materials or supplies together). I was charged $701 for the pipe repair.

Gas company shut off furnace due to several gas leaks. Zuniga came in and pressurized the pipe system on the unit and located multiple gas leaks in the pipes. They did a thorough job of repairing all the leaks

ZERO STARS !! I spoke to Mark a day after leaving a message to get an estimate to replace a shower base. We spoke on the phone and I told him we wanted a shower base removed and a newer on installed. I sent detailed pictures to him per his request. He replied that he was concerned about something he saw in the picture I sent so I told him I would contact the building engineer with the concern he had - I email him with the building engineers response and did not get any reply whatsoever - perhaps this company is content rodding sewer lines for a living.

My boiler quit on me and I was without heat for 3 days. It took that long to find someone who would come out to detect the problem without charging a ridiculous fee or making bogus promises. Mr. Burris came out on a Sunday afternoon, he was on time and ready to work. He took his time to assess the situation and kept me in the loop with the process the entire time. I could tell he was there to HELP and not just to make a quick dollar. He was able to fix the situation and went out of his way to help me save money as well as educate me on maintenance and how to keep the boiler running without other issues. He called me throughout the night to make sure everything was working properly and told me to feel free to call him if i had any other issues. Even after the job was done and I had questions days later he took my calls and made sure I had a good understanding about what else I needed to do to keep my boiler in great shape. Mr Burris is a man who takes pride in his work and enjoys helping people. He cares about his community and the people in it! The results speak for themselves. He’s my guy from now on!

Greg and his team are great. From scheduling to work performed. I have been very happy. I referred Greg out to a friend and she was also pleased. Greg installed my sump pump and back up pump, bathroom faucet and re-sealed my catch basin in my back yard. Very happy with everything over the years. Highly recommended

I called for help when I had big problems with shower and another company referred to come in last moment. Mike's company didn't do anything too even came !!
