The plumbing Tech was very professional and courteous. They called and arrived as scheduled. He wore PPE and shoe covers. He was able to address all 4 issues that I was having in my kitchen and bathroom. I would highly recommend them to anyone in this time of COVID-19. Top notch service and safety!

Warning this place charges by the hour not the job. They took advantage and charged me thousands of dollars when I needed emergency labor. Do not use them. I recently needed more plumbing work for a different non emergency project and after getting more quotes I received a free hour estimate and a reasonably fixed price for the work. when I asked them about doing work they tried to charge me extra to come out in the snow and the operator Ray was extremely rude. Please beware they are a rip off and I would def never use them again.

They were extremely professional and the job was done just as discussed (check valve and eductor pump). My basement flooded during a massive storm but they came out right away to give me a quote and got it done quickly after I called to schedule it. Would definitely use them again!

ORIGINAL REVIEW:
I was charged $1,040 to ultimately disconnect/reconnect a sink and faucet installation.

I originally requested to have a garbage disposal installed with the sink re-connection. However, the plumber was unable to successfully connect the garbage disposal wiring from the prior disposal to the new disposal, after multiple attempts. The plumber's competency was a bit questionable for this task.

Additionally, the wall pipe was too high to connect the disposal drain and effectively drain the sink water. However, instead of performing a simple measurement to help determine whether the wall pipe was too high - the plumber attempted for over an hour to try to find a drain configuration that worked.

I understand why the requested garbage disposal installation was not feasible b/c of the wall drain location. However, the fact that APEX needed hours to diagnosis that a garbage disposal installation was not feasible makes me question plumber's honesty or competency.

I understand that there are labor/material costs for a plumbing service.
I am happy to pay for a plumber's labor. However, I am NOT happy to pay (over $1000) for hours and hours of labor for a plumber to 'figure it out' whether the requested job is feasible.

I contacted PSP plumbing fo a pump out of my catch basin and was totally satisfied with the service. Pablo which is the owner sold me with his professionalism and I will definitely use this company again as well as refer to family and friends.

I recently used Avantel Plumbing to install a new water softener in my commercial building and they did a great job. They were knowledgeable, efficient, and left the work area clean. I would definitely use their services again.

Victor did a great job unclogging kitchen drain pipe and fixing a leak in basement pipe. Would definitely use them for any plumbing work, and will refer them to friends and family.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! If I can save a singe customer from the experience I have had over the past month! I had a pipe burst around Christmas and this service came out to defrost my pipes. Since they responded I decided to use them for a rerouting. The plumber was not only late but showed up at 7pm and stayed till midnight rerouting. The plumber had to come back several days later to finish the installation because my contractor had to redo some framing. One of the laundry valves they installed leaked and it took the plumber several days to come out, however the valve was never replaced. Like others have said, the owner is in a meeting, little to no response, and after almost a week of no shows and no communication, a different plumber showed up (after I started to request return of payment) and installed a wash tub hook up that was supposed to be done at the same time as the laundry, as he was leaving I said there is a leak and he told me he had spilled water. Pipe was still leaking about 2 hrs later I called them to come back… the plumber tried to tell me it was “ground water leaking” until I pointed out the leak in the cold water valve they had installed the week prior. This is how they left my new drywall…. I’m praying their work holds up but am skeptical! Please save yourself the headache and heartache! Hopefully their contract holds up if there is any further issue!

I paid $95 to John to diagnosis my sewer gas smell in my house which can be hazardous. He did not provide a diagnosis for what my issue was, mainly gave me a bunch of “maybe it’s this” or “maybe it’s this” or your house is just old and your going to have to replace the whole main pipe through the house resolve the issue. This was all in a span of 15 min and I gave $95 for this service call, so basically was left with more questions than answers. I even started to question my career choice, and thought about going into plumbing business and tell 9 out of 10 people what he said and make a quick $95 in 15 min. On the contrary, with Kennedy Plumbing located in Alsip, they were able to come in and find out what was going on and why I was getting the smell. They found out it was the P trap in the ground and gave a few options and how I can contain the smell until I’m ready to do the repair. Again, I highly recommend Kennedy plumbing!
