Our water heater was not producing enough hot water and I called Rescue around 9AM Tuesday and was told that they would send a crew that morning. Jay and Sam came around 11:30 and we discussed my issue. Jay pointed out that our heater was 25+ years old and I decided that it was best to get an new one since it served our apartment and our tenants. I don't think that I've ever been happier with their professionalism and service. I highly recommend Rescue.

The service technician, Steve (#8225) was friendly and efficient. He clearly explained what needed to be done and offered a reasonable price. We're a six-unit three story 100 year old building with two sewer lines and three exterior drains to service. All had to be cleared 100+ feet out to the main sewer line under the street at the front of the building. We had problems with one of the sewer lines a few years ago backing up so this was for recommended periodic maintenance. The sewer lines were fairly straightforward and done easily; however, two of the exterior drains were clogged with dirt. Steve took the time and effort to get them properly cleared out. I'd definitely use Roto-Rooter again and request Steve if possible.

I won't use anyone else! Edwin Flores is an experienced, professional plumber who has never failed to impress me with his skill and his attention to detail. He won't fix what doesn't need fixing and I feel his prices are fair. Not only have I used him for multiple jobs but I have referred him to others who had the same experience I did.

We called thinking our water heater was making noise. They came quickly on a Saturday. Turns out, about 10 units in our condo thought it was their water heaters or the pipes. Rick & Eric were able to diagnose it wasn't the water heater. They went on multiple floors, the roof, and basement to find out there was a toilet running 2 floors below us causing major buzzing, humming, and screaming noises through the duct work to all of our units. Once getting access to that condo unit, they stopped the running toilet and the noise stopped immediately. They stuck around to continue diagnosing and ensuring a fix even though it wasn't what we all thought it was originally. Would absolutely recommend them and will use them again. Very professional and made the noise stop!

Called for help for a drainage issue with the tub/sink in the bathroom last Saturday and was able to resolve the issue by Monday at an exceptional level.

The value of 2 stars is they did a free estimate. Their lack of 3/4/5 stars is due to their lack of effort. My problem was that I had warm water coming from my cold side faucets on my 2nd/3rd floor. Their two colleagues that inspected my place spent less than 10 minutes in my house. They heard my problem, walked up and down and saw all of my fixtures, but didn't really listen to me. They told me I would have to remove the drywall from behind every sink, bathtub, shower, etc. Then they verbally estimated $15-18000. They took my information, including email. They also admitted that after their repair, I would require someone to close the holes in the wall. I sough a second opinion and scheduled a 2nd Chicago plumber. Concurrent to this I sought the advice of my Uncle, also an Ohio plumber. With 2h of listening to me, walking up and down my house, and looking at my fixtures, he identified the suspect fixture. It took me some time, closing the other sinks and showers, but he was right. Ultimately I replaced the bath faucet that was the source of the problem. After doing so my problem was solved. I think this business is motivated by big projects. I'm not sure if they bid me high because they didn't think the actual solution was worth their time or money; I asked several other plumbers for estimates, and at least the others told me it wasn't worth their time. I think the fact that they asked me to remove my walls and for $15-18k was BS, especially considering the ultimate solution was valued at my time and the replacement of a faucet ($200-2000, if you go from the cheapest to the most luxurious option). Their plan included wrecking my home. I'm not sure if they were bidding me high to dissuade me from their services, or trying to take advantage of me, but regardless, this was a problem that they overbid by 10x the cost.

Service tech arrived promptly in under 1/2hr after I received a call he was intransit. One of the competitions showed up unannounced while Eric was finishing up the job . The 3rd & 4th competitors were no shows. Eric was professional, courteous and cordial. He was accommodating with the fact that it was a short run problem and was very salesman like in negotiating an accommodating price. He was quick to remove his equipment & get to work. He was again very professional and personable while inspecting the site with his camera. He spoke very highly of his company and the other tech.'s. I will not hesitate to call Sam's Plumbing And Rodding again & I will ask for Eric by name.

Mr. Burris is awesome. He saved our early childhood educational center $29,700. We were told by another company that our school would need to replace our heating and cooling system. The company told us that replacing the heating and cooling system would cost $30,000. Mr. Burris was able to repair the original heating and cooling system for $300. Mr . Burris is a life saver.
