Oh boy, got hit by lightning and lost half of my house electricity on Friday night, didn’t get PNM out here till midnight on Sunday. Found a wire had been severed from the pole. They ended up detaching the whole house. Desperate Monday morning I started calling around and finally got a hold of Albuquerque electric company and they were able to come out within the hour, do an estimate and started on it completely. It’s Tuesday and I have power and they’re going to come back and update my other systems. I am very happy and Rodney who was exceptional, professional responsive and sympathetic to my situation. The rest of the team also was professional.

Installed a gas line during a kitchen remodel. I expressed concern that the line was protruding too far out from the wall and the new stove would stick out but was reassured it was okay. They even unboxed the new stove sitting in the garage to take a look. Here we are two months later and the stove just got installed and sticks out three inches from the wall. NOT HAPPY at all.

Short reason: Serious issues with communication. Never responded to voicemails and all requests to call back.

I had the misfortune of interacting with Rick's as the home warranty company that came with my new home use them as default contractors. In spite of the fact I was planning on using them to upgrade the existing heating and cooling system (to AC from evap) which they were aware of, they suddenly became completely unresponsive to all phone calls and voicemails.

No one answered at the company line over 3 weeks of calling approx 4x per week, and no one called back after leaving detailed voicemails each time over that time period. I have a newborn child and our issue was a broken furnace, I informed them of this and still, there was no contact. It required escalation with the home warranty company who eventually had to leave an ultimatum with the company (service this or you will no longer be a contractor with us) when finally Rick the supposed owner, emailed me asking if they could show up in a day to do the work. When I responded via email that yes they could, there was no confirmation they would arrive, let alone an apology.

While the worker who did arrive did his job properly , I cannot recommend enough against EVER doing business with Rick's. The blatant unprofessionalism in screening their calls (as another review insinuates and I confirm) and not responding to calls for service is atrocious. Stay far away from this trash contractor.
