Best Drain Cleaning And Sewer Cleaning in Boston MA

i've used this company several times over the years for clogs - the main line to the house, the washer, the tenant's (who dumped grease & bolts down the drain) sink. they have always been reasonably priced and did a great job on the clogs. i was in the process of recommending them to a friend so i decided to write a review.

I've used CTW Plumbing and Heating for the last several years, and I can't recommend them highly enough. Their estimates are competitively priced, their workmanship is top-notch, they're responsive, and I can always count on them in a pinch. I've had them out to replace faucets, a water heater, and heating blower motor, and each time they arrived when they said they would and performed quality work. I'm grateful to have plumbers I can trust!

John came and repaired some duct work so that the heat flow increased into the room I needed it too.

Just had them come out to fix our hose! On time, friendly, and did a wonderful job. Pricing was less than expected!! We will absolutely use them in the future.

I spoke with Matt and scheduled a site visit to get a quote for my project. He never showed up. No phone call-nothing. I gave them a 2nd opportunity. Scheduled another appointment... Again, NO SHOW. Seriously!!! No courtesy call, explanation, apology...nothing. Never even answered my call to see if he was still coming. Wasted my time TWICE. Shame on me. Lesson learned.

It's hard to find honest and trustworthy work in this business. I called a number of competitors in the area and it was the same song and dance: flat trip fee + plus diagnostic. The competitors wouldn't even provide a quote estimate even though that's what their website promised. When I called T-Flow, the person (I forget the name) who picked up the phone seemed to actually care. He asked a number of questions to drill into the problem and provided a clear cost/benefit analysis. No upselling, no misleading information, and provided some DIY tips to save money! Thank you T-Flow!!!

Paul was very polite and professional. I am very happy with my new water heater. Very clean and professional plumber that I would like to recommend to anyone.

Power Plumbing has handled all my plumbing needs over the last 15 years. They are very responsive, fast workers, they know their craft. Their pricing is very reasonable.

Here's my opinion:

McMahon lied to us and almost ruined our boiler. I'm not one to leave negative reviews, but I think people really need to know about this.

First, we paid to have two boilers inspected and tuned-up. After the job as I was paying, I asked for a report and was told it would be sent to me. When I emailed for a report (they never sent it) the owner emailed me with a checklist of what they inspected but with no information on my boilers. I don't think they even took notes. Less than two weeks later one of the boilers they inspected and tuned-up broke and I paid McMahon to fix it. In hindsight I'm not surprised it broke so soon after.

Shortly after at another property I hired McMahon to fix and tune-up a new high efficiency boiler because it wasn't working. The techs came and spent some time with the unit, then told us everything is working and that the unit was tuned-up.

The boiler was still broken. We contacted them multiple times and were told that to do a proper repair would costs thousands. They wanted to charge us to bring them back to re-check their own work. Nope. That was the last straw.

I hired another plumbing company to inspect the boiler and what they found was scary. The pressure valve had been disassembled but not completely re-assembled. As a result, the boiler had been running without enough water on the verge of burning out. The whole system was filled with air.

Furthermore, the unit was NOT cleaned at all, and I was told that it was most likely not even opened because the screws had no markings on them.

We've spent thousands with McMahon on multiple jobs.

If you don't know about plumbing, don't trust this company to be honest with you.

The second company I hired was amazing. They exposed all of the issues, fixed them, explained every little thing to us, and now our boiler is working again just in the nick of time.

Came the same day I called to help with my heater issues. They were professional and knowledgeable in letting me know the issues and how to fix them. I felt like I wasn’t being upsold in any way and that I was getting honest advice. Highly recommend.

Frank was very unprofessional, he failed to show up when he schedules to, prolonged the job and was very dis-respectful. He revised the price upward in the middle of job and after we agreed on the new price he did install the sump pump, got paid in full but didn't return to complete what he promised even after several calls, voicemails and texts up to this moment. I had to get someone else to redo the job.

Had to edit this review. Drainflow has been pretty disappointing recently. They seem too busy and don't really seem to care as much about their customers as they did in the past. Example, my shower valve was leaking and Anthony told me to do the research online myself to figure out what replacement parts I needed, then to buy the myself from the manufacturer. I'm not a plumber. He said he was too busy to figure it out himself and order the parts for me. Not the same service they used to offer. Can't recommend these guys anymore. Look elsewhere if you want a plumber that cares.
