Best Outdoor Plumbing System Repair in Washington DC

We contacted #1 DMV plumbing because the tub spout in our primary bathroom came off. This was on Nov 17. A plumber named DJ responded to our call and came out a day and a half later. He came out twice over the next few days — never arriving on time and never with the tools he needed to fix the job. He told us he'd be back on Nov 19 — a Saturday — to complete the job. We stayed home all day and he never showed up, never answered his phone, never responded to texts. When I finally got ahold of him on Sunday, his response was (direct quote): My apologies my phone was shut down yesterday. Three days later he came again (reminder: this is all to replace a broken spout), but he had bought the wrong spout. He said he'd be back the next morning at 9am, which is was Thanksgiving morning. You sure? I asked him. Three times he shook my hand and said, No problem at all, this should only take a few minutes. I'll be there. Well, on Thursday morning, he never showed up. I called him. I texted him. No response. We pushed back our plans to drive to Pennsylvania to wait for him to arrive. Nothing. To date, he's never returned our calls or texts, has never fixed the problem, and still has our original spout. Just ghosted us — and wasted a ton of our time. On top of this, it's been 12 days since we've had a working shower. I understand that things come up or schedules change; basic communication and courtesy can go a long way, but we didn't experience either of these. Steer clear of #1 DMV Plumbing. These guys are not professional or dependable.

(To make this a little more clear, we contacted #1 DMV Plumbing 12 days ago. In the attached photo, you can see the current state of our tub/shower. And we haven't heard a word from them in five days. Needless to say, we have a real plumber coming in the morning.)

These guys were nothing short of absolutely fantastic. We had an emergency with our main sewer line and time was ticking. We frantically did our best to scout 3-4 companies. Stevens was given to us by a friend of a friend of a friend (literally). The others were totally, abjectly awful. They began giving preconditions, giving opinions over the phone, talking about how unavailable they are, and had mighty large attitudes. Just awful. These guys took down my info, knew immediately what to do, I got a callback with a consultation in less than 10 minutes, and then was told that if needed, a plumber could come out tonight (and boy, was it late). Quick, efficient, targeted, and prompt. Literally all one could want from a company. I seriously do not recall being this impressed with a company in a while. Yeah, after hours service is a pretty penny, but what are you gonna do - it's after hours. I sincerely cannot recommend these folks strongly enough. I can totally see how they ended up surviving for more than 13 decades... hopefully many more to come...

STUNNED and DISAPOINTED!
Cherry Blossom Plumbing came out today on a confirmed project in VA with full knowledge that a permit was required at this particular building. Before starting any work my Project Manager asked about the pending permit, he was told to call the office and did so. It was then he was informed they could not manage to get a permit at this time and that their plumber should leave the premises immediately.
My PM called back and asked to speak to the owner (family owned) he was told “they are not readily available” REALLY??? In any case he waited and was eventually hung up on.
This is extremely unprofessional and left us in a frustrating predicament with the owner, the building staff and the entire group of residences that had their water shut off for this.

4.5 Stars - I contacted Roto-Rooter DC after my normal plumber could not clear a clog in our shower drain. He suggested that since they specialize in clearing drains, they would be my best bet without having to open up the downstairs ceiling.I called right away, and was surprised to hear they could be at my house within two hours, and they were.Joseph (5423) arrived on time and was very professional - I appreciated that he covered his shoes when walking in my house. I explained to him what the other plumber has already done and he looked everything over and explained my options.What I found very interesting was that they use the most powerful snake tool around - more powerful than most local plumbers. Basically the deal was, if they could clear it, the cost would be $599. If they couldn’t, it would be the diagnostic fee of $150, and then I would at least know I had exhausted all other steps.Joseph managed to clear the drain with some effort. We have old galvanized pipes that are prone to blockages, and he gave me some tips for how to maintain them so the blockages are slower to occur, but ultimately suggested we replace them.I also found a coupon on the site and had no issues redeeming it when it was time to pay. Also! There is a 6 month warranty - so if it backs up again in that time, they will fix it for free.The half star deduction is only because the cost is very high. That said - the prompt response and resolution of our problem where others failed may be worth the price.

Had a clogged main sewage line. They came within 30 minutes and resolved the problem in 1 hour. Great service!

Old water pipes, oh no! What a drag. So in the long run I decided to have all of them replace in my home with new copper pipes. So I got on the phone with Plumber in DC and I was impressed. They took the time to do the job correctly and efficiently. I really liked how they took the time to explain things to me. I had a wonderful experience with Plumber in DC and I highly recommend them.
