We had another plumber company to come out and do some simple plumbing repairs and they flaked out on us. We than called a few different companies to come out and no one could for 2 to 3 days, however when we called Tidewater they came out within less than a hour and did a great Job I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND TIDEWATER THEY ARE GREAT!

If you are like me when it comes to repairs I am just used to opening my wallet and let myself be robbed because of not being mechanically inclined. I got three estimate for repair to my AC unit and was given a range of 3000 to 5500 dollars being told this was needed, that was needed and so on. Anyway with money being tight I tried one more estimate and contacted James Dodd Plumbing and Air. The office staff was very friendly and was able to get Mr. Dodd himself out there the same day. So what the other repair places made seem like the end of the world turned out that just a minor repair was needed and the cost was minor. I was so relieved. So yes 'Virginia' there is a honest repair man out there. If you are looking for honesty, professionalism and people that follow through go with James Dodd Plumbing and Air.

I called for AC service and expected it to take a while with the recent heat we have had. I received a callback within an hour. They had someone on site within 4-5 hours. My AC was back up and at a very fair price. I had them back a few days later to install several electrical outlets. I would highly recommend Colonial home services.

My experience mirrors other recent negative reviews linked to property management with Howard Hanna. Late, unprofessional, and unable to speak to me or my husband with any kind of human decency or respect. This company lost its accreditation from the BBB last year due to being unable to Approach all business dealings, marketplace transactions and commitments with integrity, good faith and intent to do what is reasonably expected. Which tracks because they straight up lied to me about coming out early in the morning to fix what their own technician said was a sh*tily installed plumbing. They fired him for telling us that, btw. My advice would be to document everything, take photos of your home before and after they arrive (check the other reviews about coincidentally missing items of value from homes). Oh and have alot of time to waste because these people DGAF about you or your rental. Just the money.

Quest pipe replacement and upgraded our water heater, and disposal. Also added gas to the kitchen for new stove. Estimate was extremely professional. We had 3 recommendations and Bertolino Plumbing included far more than the others. Technician was considerate, and cleaned up each day. We couldn't be happier with our choice!

Couldn't be happier with the service I received. Want to single out the technician who serviced our house, Gary Banks. Gary not only fixed the issue quickly, something a competitor said could not be done the day before when we called a different company, but he also explained very thoroughly what caused the issue and went over ways to hopefully keep it from repeating in the future. We will definitely be calling Gary again if other plumbing issues arise.Furthermore, because part of the issue was a toilet that began leaking from the base, Roto Rooter sent out Krista this afternoon to make sure none of that black water caused any permanent damage to the floor of baseboards. This service was complimentary.My only regret is not using Roto Rooter at the beginning, their customer service and technical ability were a stark contrast to the treatment we received from the company we called originally.Thank you, Gary and thank you Roto Rooter!!

I am quite upset because Betty's name is still being used and they do not honor work that had already begun in North Carolina saying they have been taken over by Atlantic and Atlantic doesn't have a NC license. This unit cost $5.300.00 and we can't get a company in NC that will take over Betty's contract. We even paid for labor & parts to be good until 2021. We trusted Betty's and want to know why they can't acquire a NC license to honor their contracts if they are going to continue advertising. Where does that leave all the rest of the people that trusted them in N.C. I lived in Newport News all my life and referred Betty's to everyone I know. I can't even get Betty's Supervisor or owner to call back to talk to them. Help somebody!
We have been dealing with this over three weeks. The water of condensation falls straight through to the duck work and pulled it down. My husband is in his 80's and crawled under the house and saw what has happened. The drain is not clogged. The water just goes straight through. We shut off the unit so no more damage can be done. We don't want to mess up our warranty knowing this. Here is a warning to all residents in N.C.
