Mr Martin and the folks over at Tidewater Plumbing and Heating are simply a God send! They are so humble and honest and helpful - I can't say enough great things about them. My air conditioning went out on the hottest of days recently - thankfully Mr Martin & his a/c knowledge and experience, were able to have me up & running and at a very competitively priced cost. 5 starts isn't enough for them but it's the most we can give here ...

Mike did a wonderful job of building a ramp and extending the porch at our house. Working with Mike was a pleasure - I found him to be detail oriented, honest, punctual and organized. He also came up with several creative ideas for cost savings and his workmanship is high quality. He is a very conscientious business person - a rare find these days, and I already have plans to ask him to perform future projects at our house.

I was really impressed with the crew, how professional, courteous, the work they did, post job cleanup, use of drop cloths over carpet. The crew was able to come out a day earlier than scheduled with a very short lead time from my initial call. It was like they sent the A team. They replaced both heater furnaces and both cooling units in a day!

The service is great. The people are are too. Scheduling is great also. But it’s gonna hit you in the pockets a little bit. But you get what you pay for.

Me and my wife just moved into our home and we were experiencing electrical issues in 2 bedrooms. Sam, our technician, came out and was able to diagnose our issues rather quickly. Amazing service. Had a broken pipe next to the water meter. After another company said they can’t fix it till 5 days later, these guys came on Saturday at 8 am in the cold and dug for almost 6 hours and fixed it.

Their service prices are set based on the type of work, not the size of your wallet. I received a quick estimate and advice for a renovation that had kept me up for weeks. I am quite upset because Betty's name is still being used and they do not honor work that had already begun in North Carolina saying they have been taken over by Atlantic and Atlantic doesn't have a NC license. This unit cost $5.300.00 and we can't get a company in NC that will take over Betty's contract. We even paid for labor & parts to be good until 2021. We trusted Betty's and want to know why they can't acquire a NC license to honor their contracts if they are going to continue advertising. Where does that leave all the rest of the people that trusted them in N.C. I lived in Newport News all my life and referred Betty's to everyone I know. I can't even get Betty's Supervisor or owner to call back to talk to them. Help somebody!
We have been dealing with this over three weeks. The water of condensation falls straight through to the duck work and pulled it down. My husband is in his 80's and crawled under the house and saw what has happened. The drain is not clogged. The water just goes straight through. We shut off the unit so no more damage can be done. We don't want to mess up our warranty knowing this. Here is a warning to all residents in N.C.

The technicians were efficient and professional. They almost had to postpone my service due to a storm but made it here and completed the work in a very timely manner. Kevin and James were knowledgeable and used exactly the right materials and tools to complete the work.
