My fiancé and I used Ali-cor after we realized our toilet was having issues flushing (sometimes it would flush and sometimes it wouldn’t) there was also water coming up from our shower every time a toilet would flush. After the tech arrived at the house and took a look he informed us it was a clog and he could fix it using a smaller machine (instead of the larger one). He went and did was he did with the machine and after he assured us the issue was fixed. Not even 2 days later we ran into the same issue that he said was supposed to have been fixed. We called the company back and informed them of the issue and instead of coming out to actually fix the issue they said would be fixed the first time, they told us it would cost the same OR MORE to come out and have the fix the issue again. So we would of had to pay twice for the issue that was supposed to be resolved the first time! Needless to say, we are NOT going to be using this company again nor will we refer them to anyone else seeing as how our issue was never truly resolved. I gave 2 stars because our tech was on time and nice.

Did a great job installing a new bathtub.

The work that was done was great work. The reason for my 3-Star rate is because of the communication and keeping the customer informed. I know since the pandemic, that sometimes items being shipped can be delayed but that doesn't give a reason to keep a customer in the dark. The first scheduled day for repair, I had to call Ali-Cor around 1 to 2 PM wondering when or where the tech was. They told me the part diddnt come in and needed to reschedule (boom a wasted day of vacation). The second scheduled day I had to call (again) this time earlier around 11 am so I diddnt waste my whole day again. The lady said she sent out some automated text message (which I never received) but if it was me and I know we dropped the ball the first time, I wouldnt of relied on electronical means unless I just didn't care. Third scheduled day the tech came in and did great work. Polite guy. Just sucks it took two burnt vacation days due to poor communication and keeping the consumer informed. I know you may be thinking, did they at least offer a discount? Answer was NO. So I think a reduction of one star per day of vacation I burnt is fair.

I called Ali-Cor because of a neighborhood recommendation. Needed a new water heater and this was my 2nd estimate. The two men who arrived were unkempt and did not have coverings for shoes. From the start, they acted as if they were not interested in the job. When I was given the quote it was almost twice as much as the other company. Not knowing much about water heater replacements, I probably would have gone with them anyway based on the recommendation. The fact that the one guy seemed so disinterested and seemingly put out that he had to go up in the attic to do the work was a complete No for me. I have a new water heater now, at a better price and a plumber for the duration. Attitude counts.
Maybe it was a bad day, but I was very disappointed.

Main sewer line under the kitchen in the crawl space broke due to settling house. Made the call and a team came by and assessed my problem. They worked me in that day between other commitments. He helped us with several plumbing problems in our Chesapeake home including a hidden water leak that was tripling our water bill. He took the time to meet with city utility employees at our home to diagnose and fix our problems. Afterword, he repaired difficult/tedious plumbing work that a previous home remodeling company had covered up. When finished, the job sites were even cleaner than before the jobs began.
We are thankful to Mr. Miller and his employees for being different from the rest; that means they actually showed up on time, provided a realistic bid and completed the jobs according to the bid. I have found that with many contractors, you are lucky if they show up at all, never mind on time, but Jason actually showed up a few minutes early. Was overseas for work when my roommate called me to inform me of a plumbing issue. I was able to call them and do everything over the phone and email, and have them come out and fix the issue plus a few others. However, a few months down the road one of the issues came back (turns out the new valve was faulty) and called them up and explaining the issue. They happily came out and fixed the issue free of charge, as it was covered under their warranty. Will call them again for any and all plumbing work that I may need.

Ali-Cor Plumbing, were on point. They installed stop leak on hot water tank several years . This device really works. It detects water leakage and alerts owner. Invest in this device enquire about this from Ali-Cor. They repaired leaky tub faucet and installed new hot water tank. Experienced and complete work. I'd use them again. Not too cost sufficient, but I was overall satisfied with job done.😊

Brandon did a great job installing a water line for a refrigerator in our 1930’s house. We were having a hard time getting someone to come out to do this job and Ali-Cor responded quickly. Will call them for future jobs.

Jason was always on time and did what he said he was going to do. He would also come out on the weekends if something was urgent. The attention to detail did not go unnoticed. Quality of work was excellent. We could not be happier with everything they have done for us during our home renovations.

After a month of having Roto Rooter out to my house trying to figure out why one of my bathtubs would not regulate the temperature of my water. I called ALI-COR to come out. He came out that day and decided I needed a new fixture do to a bad mixing valve. He fixed the fixture even managed to artfully cover the fact that drywall had to be removed with a metal plate so I didn't have to do a drywall repair. Best part The prices were very reasonable for the work!

We provide bath remodels for the Home Depot bath program and engage the services of Ali-Cor Plumbing in our VA market. They do excellent work and Jason Harvey is a pleasure to work with.

They were very prompt with scheduling. The plumber they sent out was extremely knowledgeable and very considerate. He even tried to save me money by attempting a quick fix. I ended up going with a more expensive and permanent fix and he did an amazing job. Then he offered a discount since the first attempt was not perfect. I would highly recommend them!

Quick response, they were able to get to me the very next day. Helped fix a small leak, and also alerted me to the fact I was being charged for the wrong water meter in my block of units! Due to their help I will be getting back hundreds of dollars that I have been over-billed for. Price estimate was appropriate and well worth it!

I recently used Ali-Cor Plumbing to replace my gas water heater. We were not getting hot water and when I went to look at the water pump I noticed it was leaking water. I left a message with Ali-Cor and they returned my call very quickly. They had a technician (Brandon) come out that afternoon. He was there exactly when they said he would be. He looked over the water heater and showed me exactly what was wrong and where it had failed. So he immediately got to work locating a new water heater. He located one and picked it up and worked until almost 8pm installing and making sure it worked properly and that we had hot water that night. Couldn’t be more happy with the service we received. Yes it was expensive. GOOD water heaters are expensive. I will definitely use Ali-Cor again and would recommend them to anyone needing a plumber.

the other company railroaded me and did not get the job done. He came out 3 times and the leak continued. This was embarrassing to me and to my tenants. He put in a water heater and wired it incorrectly and blue out my upstairs bathroom lights, by this time my plumbing bill was at 3000. Altech plumbing is the absolute worst.

I had a leak in my rental house and Jason’s man came out quickly the next morning to fix it. Not only that, he found an issue with the tub that should have never passed inspection. He repaired that for me too and the price was right! I recommend ALI-COR Plumbing to all my friends and co-workers.

I purchased a house to remodel for resale. The project included relocating a full bathroom, adding a full bathroom, adding a half bath, adding a laundry room, updating the kitchen, and relocating two gas lines. I got 5 quotes for the project and although ALI-COR was not the low bidder, they were indeed the best deal. The workmanship throughout the project was first class all the way. They worked closely with me to coordinate my work with theirs. Jason was always available during their scope of work. About a month after they had completed the work, I had a 4 cast Iron pipe crack in the house I live in. I only made one call because I wanted it done correctly. They quoted me a fair price however when they arrived, I had already removed the plaster wall and insulation around the pipe. They replaced the pipe and because I have done some of the work, they reduced the quoted price paying me for the work I had done. I was a pleasure working with them on both projects. I am glad to see a young company with such high values and standards enter the market place.

So our hot water heater would not stay lit. We called Ali-cor they sent someone out quickly but when the plumber arrived he tried to lite it which it did not lite and told me because our heater was 4 years old it was old and near it's end of its life so we should just go ahead and replace it which would cost $1500 or he could replace 2 parts for $850 but that would not gaurentee it would be fixed. So I told him thank you but we were going to get a 2nd opinion he was here maybe 20 min max. So we got another plumber to come out and he inspected it and diagnosed the problem within a few minutes and it was only a $25 part. So with that being said this plumber or Ali-cor was trying to rip us off. They wanted us to just replace the whole thing because he did not know what was wrong with it and didn't take time to figure it out. For first time customers this was sure a bad experience and will never use them again. Thought by choosing a Local business it would of been a better experience then using a big time company but lessons learned and then to top it off they said they would be sending us a bill for a service call for $85 which I would understand if he actually diagnosed the problem or did something other than just try to lite it which already knew it wouldn't lite. Hopefully others won't fall for high dollar repairs that arnt necessary get a second opinion!

I was very disappointed in the work and price. When the invoice came I had to challenge it to get a reasonable price. The labor was initially 3 times the final cost. The quality of work was very good.

Very Professional. They had a bit of mechanical trouble with equipment, but tech never got frustrated and grabbed a replacement part and got project finished before he left. Even provided a discount for the time it took them with the delay.

Jason was extremely attentive in answering all my questions about replacing my electric water heater with a hybrid version. He was accessible via phone and text message and gave me quote that was accurate and did not change when they completed the job. After installation i had a small leak from a pipe on top, which came from my water pump that was defective, not their fault. I called them and the came right back out to remove it. Since then no issues. It is very hard to find good honest companies these days and i am glad i found them. They will be my goto for any plumbing related issues. Thanks!

Within 24 hours of talking to them we went from using an outdoor portable toilet and staying in hotel rooms to take a shower to having functioning shower and toilet in our home!! We called ALI-COR to come help us out with a clog at our new building. First I have to say thank you to Brandy she took the call and was very pleasant to speak with. She scheduled the call with Dylan and sent me a appointment reminder for the time. When Dillon showed up he went right to work trying to fix our problem. Within the first 20 mins he found several clogs and suggested we get the jetter to clear the pipe. They brought the jetter out and tried everything to clear it but could not. Fast forward a couple of days and we got a pipe open for them to jet another way. This time they found a rabbit somehow crawled into the pipe and clogged it.

All has been fine until a couple days ago and we backed up again called and Dillon came back out and cleared drain and installed a vent to help with bubbles we were having. All We have to say is this outfit is OUTSTANDING. We will be using them for all our plumbing needs.

Awesome plumber! I called to get a ball valve connection fixed on my rear hose connection (cracked during a freeze) - the leak was up against my foundation and I needed it fixed fast. I spoke with Jason Miller over the phone to schedule the appointment. Jason was polite, friendly, and worked around my schedule to come see what needed to be done. The plumber that came out was Charlie, another friendly guy that obviously knows his craft well (and mentioned he is a 3rd generation plumber). Although I have an unusual hose line setup, Charlie took the time to go to 4 different plumbing suppliers to find the right parts and avoid having to cut into my drywall from the inside. That saved me a lot of time and money. The work was done quickly and payment was super easy. I really like the fact that Ali-Cor uses an electronic system for everything: Appointment setup, appointment reminders, payment, and automatically emailing my receipt. Communication was thorough during the whole process and I am a very happy customer. Thanks for doing a great job!

We closed on our first home in early May and almost immediately realized there was a plumbing issue. I called ALI-COR because of the positive reviews and I liked that they were Google Certified. Since my home is a flipped, historic property, quite a bit of investigation had to be done to find out what the real issue was. After 3 different visits, our plumber, Brandon Segara, found the cause of the problem. He and two other plumbers spent an entire day here digging and rerouting pipes. They charged me a flat rate for the work and I am happy to report that I have had no plumbing issues since. They took a huge burden off of my shoulders and didn't leave me penniless. My experience with ALI-COR Plumbing was excellent and I would recommend them to anybody in the area

Our water was not running to the house for a few days. I wasn't getting anywhere with the city so I messaged Ali-cor. They were at my house in an hour and just as they pulled up so did the city truck. It ended up that we did not need their services for the day as the city fixed the issue but Jason helped me ask questions and explained things to me as the city was working at the meter. We didn't know if the issue would be resolved on the city's side or not but so glad to have a professional there in that situation in case we needed further services.

I called Ali Cor Plumbing with three plumbing concerns: a bath tub faucet with a chronic drip, a toilet flapper issue and a suspected leak under my house. The company in advance of sending a plumber to my house, sent me a confirmation e-mail to confirm their arrival time and date.

I received prompt service from Charlie McPherson. He arrived punctually and began an investigation into my concerns. Upon entering my house, he slipped on over his shoes some protective slippers and then proceeded to troubleshoot.

He provided me with thorough information and explained what he needed to do to remedy my concerns. He then quoted me a price up front for the diagnosed repairs, giving me the estimate for the best case scenario and then a price if the job was more complicated and needed additional parts because of the age of my valve system.

During the course of the day, I observed a friendly demeanor and knew through his conversation that he was a skilled plumber and very knowledgeable. I was confident the job would be done properly and efficiently. I was not mistaken and I was impressed with his work ethic. He left everything as he found it.

I called ALI-COR plumbing after being scammed by a different plumbing company that was sent to my house by my home warranty company.
I was very wary of the entire situation until Brandon showed up. After explaining to him what had happened, he was very reassuring that he would be able to fix my leaking shower pipes without a problem. Brandon took the time to thoroughly explain the cause of the leaking pipe to us and had no problem pausing his work to let us take pictures so that we could have all the info and proof we needed to file a second claim with our home warranty company. My electric water heater was very old so I proactively hired Ali-Cor Plumbing to replace it (before it died) along with new piping and valve. Communicating via text with photos and phone was helpful on my part in allowing them to choose the right heater for my house. They arrived on time for the appointment and installation was complete in one afternoon. The heater started making random whistling sounds later on and one of the technicians came right away. Fortunately the sound could not be duplicated and has never occurred again. I will not hesitate to hire Ali-Cor again for plumbing projects.

Arrived early, fixed our leaking faucet quickly, professional and polite. I noticed about an hour later the leak was back, the new part for the faucet was faulty, Brandon picked up another part and came back the same day to fix it. Great value and service!

Walked by the water heater In my laundry room around noon and found a puddle of water. It was leaking around the tank drain. Called Jason and he told me what to do to help shut off the water and get the tank draining. I have used this company 2x now and referred them as well. The owner is a friend of a friend and had them install a new water heater in 2013. Was a great experience and Jason went above an beyond. So when noticing a leak showing in our garage ceiling, I didn’t hesitate to call them again, although I also have another plumber. The techs showed up on time and explained the charges. Granted it is a flat rate, but for small, quick fixes, it should be adjusted. Upon looking behind the master shower, the techs proceeded to open the ceiling in the garage. After seeing the hole, I should have just stopped then. But it turned out to be a gasket that had shifted. They left and returned stating they do not repair the ceiling, it was my job. Fine, so off to Lowe’s I went to get drywall etc. Upon returning, they were gone. Time for repair in the home was less than an hour. Gasket to repair, roughly $2-$5 I found. The flat rate bill, $360. Now, that is fine when you have a large project etc, but with the minimal amount spent, I feel this is way high. My other plumber would have done for less than half and put up a small access hatch, not the 14x14 these two said they would. I also finished closing the ceiling and went to look at the shower drain. The two didn’t even try and clean that up some to at least go above and beyond. The people I had call this company last year, pretty much said the same. High cost, low hours of work, and the tech was gone looking for items for an extremely long time. Seven years ago was a great experience. Unfortunately now I can not use nor refer any longer.

I was unable to use Jason at this time for personal reasons but I would not hesitate to call him in the future, he was very responsive and professional.

Plumber came out gave $1200.00 estimate within 5mins of being there. Estimate was written up as dig hole$400, install water box $800. No break down on parts materials, or tax. Plumber then discloses there is a $85 estimate fee without notification or disclosure on written estimate. I received other estimates from major known reputable plumbers for less than half with actual line by line documentation of costs. Do not recommend this company.

Our service tech was Dennis - professional, knowledgeable, patient….everything you want when you are dealing with a high cost repair. I found Ali-Cor during a quote process for a broken hot water heater and not only was their price competitive and their service top notch but to have someone walk you through ALL your options and the pros and cons of each — you just don’t get that anymore. They were able to have our install COMPLETED within 24 hours and we had ZERO issues at all throughout this process because Dennis provided us all the information we needed up front. The customer service alone was enough for me, but to see end to end they keep their word and how easy they made the process for us —- As a retired military CPO, I cannot recommend this company enough and they are my go-to for any future needs!! We needed a plumber and the plumber we had used in the past was not available so we contacted Ali-Cor Plumbing. They arrived at the time promised and performed the work required but I was not happy with the amount of money they charged us to install a new kitchen faucet. We were changing out our kitchen faucet and we purchased the faucet to be installed. I feel that we were overcharged for the services rendered. For that reason, I would not recommend them to someone else.

Job was done, and done correctly. However, my floor was ripped up without my permission in order to “decrease labor costs.” Wood chips and nails were left on my floor, which is not okay when my 9 month old son is crawling around. When I told him about it, I was told “no one told you to nail your floor in,” and “you can buy a new floor with the money I saved you.” The complete and utter lack of professionalism in Brandon’s responses to me were unacceptable and unwarranted. I will be looking for plumbing services elsewhere the next time an issue arises.

Ali-cor plumbing connected my new Natural Gas service from the meter to my new gas stove and gas furnace. They also installed my gas oven. They did a great job, very well done and I'm happy with the installation. Jason and his crew are great to work with and very knowledgable. They handled the permit process along with inspections. Couldn't be happier and pricing was very fair. 5 Stars!

We are very disappointed with this company's work. My husband, who is not a plumber, knew more about plumbing than the people who were sent to our home to do the work. They crack a brand new commode upon installation. We are also still waiting for parts that did not pass our City's inspection to be replaced on the hot water tank that they installed! In less than five minutes the problem was identified accurately. The leak was caused from the washing machine. Additional tips were given on the better pipes & tray to purchase when getting the new washer. Greatly appreciated!

I called for a stopped up sewer line and the Technician was very professional. He located the blockage and he explained the reason for the blockage. We called Ali-Cor after a clogged washing machine line caused water to overflow. Much to my surprise, they were able to send a technician out the same day. Brandy took my call and she was very friendly and efficient. She told us Dillon would be out later to address our problem and she then called me back to ask if it was okay for him to come sooner. Dillon was on time and quickly identified the source of the clog and removed it. He also discovered that we needed a vent cap for optimal water flow. He explained everything thoroughly and was very polite and professional. Kudos to an excellent staff! We are very pleased with Ali-Cor and will definitely call for any future plumbing needs. Thanks!

I called ALI-COR as my water bill was almost triple what is was. I had a leak detection company come out & could find no leaks. I called ALI-COR & they were prompt to schedule a tech to come out. Ended up having a drip in a hall bath so it was replaced & it is all good now. They replaced the faucets & spout in tub. All in all in was less than a couple of hours. Tech was awesome & very easy to talk with. Highly recommend them if you need a plumber.

We had a toilet leak coming through the ceiling. Brandon arrived same day and replaced the toilets (we went out and bought two of the kind he recommended.) by the time we got home he had both toilets taken out. Work was fast and professional. I will ask for Brandon for all future plumbing needs!!!

Used their contact us feature on their website and received a text message from them within an hour to schedule the appointment for a clogged french drain. They were able to schedule me within 4 days. I had a question over the weekend prior to the Monday service and received a reply from them on a Sunday answering my question. I was not expecting that!! Very helpful. Technician showed up on time in the rain and had the drain cleared within the hour. Excellent service!!! Would absolutely use them again.

I needed a new main shutoff valve installed ASAP, as my valve stem broke in the off position, so I had no water. Called several area plumbers, Ali-Cor called back immediately, and arrived about 45 minutes later. Within 2 hours total, the job was done! The guy was friendly, professional and definately prompt. Jason (All American kinda Guy!) was very helpful and always returned my call, he allows you to send pictures to avoid wasting time! They came out the next day to replace a leaking hot water heater, which required removing the dryer to get the old equipment out and install the new, then hauled away the broken heater. They did a great job and provided pictures since we have a tenant in the home. The invoice was received via e-mail, allowing payment with a simple click. How efficient - especially for an out of town landlord! We are very pleased and will use them for all of our plumbing needs in the future.

After discovering a clogged clean out drain on the exterior of my house I had to move pretty fast on getting it unclogged. I did a quick Google search the next morning and found Ali-Cor Plumbing company with 5-star Google reviews across the board. I called around 8:30 and the owner Jason picked up the phone. He said his day was pretty full but he would squeeze me in. Long story short, Jason was ready to load up and drive his personal vehicle to my house of residence and fix the issue. One of his technicians became available and was able to meet me on site at 10:30 and was finished unclogging the drain in less than 30 minutes. I would recommend Ali -Cor Plumbing to anyone needing a plumber in the Hampton roads area and we'll definitely hire them again.

We had a pinhole leak in one of our pipes located in our crawlspace. I called another company this past Wednesday, diagnosed the issue when they came in on a Thursday, but could not fix it until Monday because they were booked. I called Ali-cor and the lady over the phone gave me an early schedule for today (Friday). Brandon and Michael arrived early, were very professional, and were very efficient addressing the issue, plus they charged for a very reasonable price. I very highly recommend this company.

Nice guy. But erratic arrival times and many phone calls to achieve that. Seemed to be in a hurry and didn't look around to see why the backups were happening. Did the job cleaning out the line, and it lasted all of 3 weeks, which was longer than the previous guy. Paid too much money for something that only lasted 3 weeks, but it seems that's all you get these days from service calls. But he was a nice guy.

I am someone who always puts things off until the last minute. So when my water heater went from a leak (in the garage) to an outright failure, I needed some pretty quick action. I got a very rapid call back when making initial contact. One of their guys came over in the morning (when he actually said he would be there) and scoped out the work. We also decided on a small amount of additional work (a ball valve isolation in lieu of a leaky gate valve). He went away for a few hours to get the parts he wanted and then returned to do the job. I'm very satisfied with the joband am considering them for some additional work.

I own a contracting company and have used many plumbers over the years. Ali-Cor is great and I never have a problem recommending them to any of my clients.

Ali-Cor was one of many plumbing companies I reached out to for a quote to replace two outdoor hose bibs, and they were noticeably the most professional. The mechanic performing the work did a beautiful job and our new hose bibs are quite secure, not leaking, and very attractive. Since we are on a slab, this required cutting open drywall to access the pipes where they were sweated in, and the mechanic's drywall cuts were incredibly well done, making for an easy patch job. I would recommend them to anyone, and I will use them for all my plumbing needs in the future.

Our house around 10 pm. Jason answered, got us in the books then texted later with a time a tech will be around on Saturday. Tech was onsite about 20 min early, probed for a buried clean out then routed the clog on the main line. Cleaned up not only the clog debris but also the grass and sod that was removed to reveal the mainline clean out.

I can honestly say that I was very satisfied with the service I received from Ali-Cor plumbing. It was very stressful trying to decide who to call after a different company had already given me a high quote. Ali-Cor fixed the leak in my bathtub faucet for a third of what I had been quoted. They also changed their arrival time to earlier in the day because I explained that I had a doctor's appointment in the afternoon.

I asked to speak with a plumber to have a better understanding or what would happen as well as getting a quote. The plumber was Dylan, he was knowledgeable and got the job done quick. Good service all around. My only problem was that the price didn't seem to be worth the work. However, this is a personal opinion. Based on quotes I did have other options but this company had better timing.

I've been using ALI-COR for going on a year now and I couldn't be any happier. They are alway on time, professional, clean, and trustworthy. I've used them to run new plumbing on our farm and then repair work at the farm and in my home. A++
