They came early. Were friendly and knowledgeable. Completed the job satisfactorily. There was even a mess up on my part and they fixed it. I’ll use them again.

Always very professional and responsive. Our tech, Jon Shaffer, has been to our office to fix the heating and cooling after moving into an older building with older equipment. He walked us through the problems we were seeing and recommended a full range of solutions. When it comes time to replace our cooling system we will be calling Guy Smith.

Approximately 3 days ago I arrived at my home after driving 9hrs at around 3am to find that I had a massive leak that I later learned was my supply line. Never having had to deal with this before, I obviously freaked out and got the water turned off. Later that morning after calling multiple plumbers local to the Norfolk and Virginia Beach area I had one come out from a different company (NOT MR. ROOTER) that immediately wanted to charge me $3.5k just to break up concrete and look for the leak. He did not turn the water on, or so much as shine a flashlight on the area I said water was coming from. The next company wanted me to do leak detection through a 3rd party first and then have them do the repair, the leak detection was quoted to be about $500, most other places charge much less.

This is significant because Mr. Zhane Albrecht from Mr. Rooter not only found the leak that was actually located above ground, but explained to me how the damage occurred, why it occurred and how he was going to fix it. This guy is the walking epitome of customer service and satisfaction, he wasn't pushy and you could tell he was advising on matters as if it were his own home which speaks volumes to his character as a professional that cares about people.

Rarely is it ever a good circumstance to have to call out a plumber, but through the unfortunate issue I had, I was thankful I had somebody knowledgeable and honest enough to see me through to the other side WITHOUT trying to rake me over the coals. Thanks Zhane, you're the man!

Our unit stopped working in the midst of a cold spell. I called a few companies that said we're serving members only. American Mechanical responded within a couple of days. They were busy also but were able to accommodate. I had a great experience from everyone I spoke with, any department. They understood our situation, we're very professional and knowledgeable. The technician took the time explaining every option available to us. I highly recommend them!

Run, don't call. The plumber sent out did not know the system, and the cost was 3 times as much as it should have been. Then the plumbing part failed within 60 days, and it was returned to the warehouse where the owner got a refund for the bad part. This was verified from the manufacture. The owner promised a refund and to adjust my bill. Never happened. He is still promising to return the money he pocketed from the manufacture after 5 months. I called in another plumber to repair my issue after waiting weeks for Blessings. Having an answering service is not customer service. Stay away.

These guys are pros . They don’t charge you by the hour. They have flat rates. The guy coming to your place been doing it for twenty years or more. They just did a job for me that would’ve cost me $400 if I went through someone else. They did it for much less. These guys are great.

Removed a garbage disposal as well as a damaged water drain pipe in my yard...the installed all new piping in the kitchen and repaired the damaged pipe in the yard in about 2hrs ran me bout 700 well worth the customer service and great job

Zack Jaber was extremely polite and professional. Showed up on time, even on Thanksgiving. Price was reasonable. If I ever have any issues in the future I will be requesting Zack from Roto-Rooter.

I am quite upset because Betty's name is still being used and they do not honor work that had already begun in North Carolina saying they have been taken over by Atlantic and Atlantic doesn't have a NC license. This unit cost $5.300.00 and we can't get a company in NC that will take over Betty's contract. We even paid for labor & parts to be good until 2021. We trusted Betty's and want to know why they can't acquire a NC license to honor their contracts if they are going to continue advertising. Where does that leave all the rest of the people that trusted them in N.C. I lived in Newport News all my life and referred Betty's to everyone I know. I can't even get Betty's Supervisor or owner to call back to talk to them. Help somebody!
We have been dealing with this over three weeks. The water of condensation falls straight through to the duck work and pulled it down. My husband is in his 80's and crawled under the house and saw what has happened. The drain is not clogged. The water just goes straight through. We shut off the unit so no more damage can be done. We don't want to mess up our warranty knowing this. Here is a warning to all residents in N.C.
