Seattle Plumbing, Septic, Sewer, Heating & Air. Plumber
Elijah is the man..I have had a few plumbers come out over the years to deal with a main line that just is problematic. He cleaned it out, scoped it, de-scaled it...Seems like we fixed a problem 3 previous plumbers would just snake and charge me for. thanks!

Beacon Plumbing Plumber
Do not use Beacon to fix an outdoor E-One grinder pump. They are not qualified to do it. I had them come out on a Sunday for an emergency call. The two guys that showed up did not know anything. I explained on the phone what my system was and what it was doing. When they got there, they ran no tests or any type of diagnosis. The guy looked in the hole where the pump is and said it had to be replaced and that they would have to order the pump and could do it in a couple days. They quoted me $11,500 to do the job. I said I needed to shop around and that I would let them know. But I had to pay $100 for them to come out and do absolutely nothing. Such a rip off. I later found the company Correct Equipment which I later found out is the only certified dealer and servicer of the E-one grinder pump system. They came out on a Monday and repaired the pump (not replace) for a total of $1038. They told me that if they had to do the whole system (new power box and pump) that it would be under $5000. I have lost all trust in Beacon Plumbing and will never use them.

Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup Plumber
My mother's drains were clogged up so she called RR. They were supposed to come in the afternoon but arrived at 8:30AM. My mother (who is 90) let them in and they ran a video where they said it stopped at the foundation and that the pipe had shifted; it could be roots but likely the pipe had shifter and that they needed to dig outside. They gave her an estimate of $8,800 and had her initial a work order (I'm assuming since I was not there). My sister was sleeping though all of the and when she called I got ahold of RR and cancelled the work. They had already sent out a worker to mark for gas lines and the excavation crew was on their way. Needless to say they wanted to start digging ASAP. The work order also said they would dig a hold 5' long and 7' deep. If there was more damage they would likely have to replace the entire sewer line to the street at considerably higher cost.I then called the person who had come over and asked why he did not first try to snake it out? At first he said he couldn't see clearly in the video because of the sewage, then said that he could not get his 200 pound machine down the basement stairs. I asked if they had a smaller machine and he said no, that maybe somebody else did.I called another plumber right after that and he came to the house and cleared the blockage with his snake/machine. (+1 for Gene Johnson Plumbing...)This borders on fraud by taking advantage of somebody who doesn't know any better. I would stay away from Roto Rooter with a 10 foot pole.I reached out to roto-rooter customer service had have yet to get a response.Update: 6/15/17 Lance Shippy, the Commercial manager of the Seattle office reached out to me to explain their procedures and we had a civil conversation. While he explained the policy of safety when moving a 300 pound snake machine down the stairs, it's not clear that the technician called for a 2nd man to assist. In any event, Gene Johnson Plumbing had no problem (might have been a smaller machine).Lance will have a heart to heart talk with the technician when the tech returns from vacation and will report to me what comes of it.Even though I'm still unhappy with the leap from a $500 roto job to a $9,000 excavation, I'm pleased that Lance took the time to talk with me about it.

Ridgid Plumbing and Drain Services Plumber
Arash, the business owner of Ridgid Plumbing came to our condo on a few hours notice to convert the incompatible shut off valve to one that will allow our new sitting dishwasher to be installed. Installer used by home depot can install it because they don’t want to deal with liability of connecting a metal braided hose to a plastic shut of valve. They also can’t fix it. The big problem we have is that we’ll have an open house to sell the condo next day and no functional dishwasher. Arash was able to fix this issue and install the dishwasher which work well and nicely placed. He also fixed the drains of the new vanity sinks the the contractor didn’t do a good job of making sure there was no leak. Arash was easy to talk with and don’t give you a hard sales or doomsday talks that will make you get scared of the cost of plumbing repair you’ll be dealing with. He showed honesty and integrity in his work. I kept his contact info because I know I will be needing his professional services in the future. Though he’s the business owner you can still see the humility and hard working traits in him explaining why he’s so successful and the quality of work he does.

Bobby T's Plumbing Plumber
I had him install a dishwasher and 2 toilets. The dishwasher shorted out underneath, and left evidence of it burning. The pro's who came after him said I should report him for the poor job he did. I'm thankful it didn't start a fire. One of the toilets is fine. The other is wobbly, and I need to yet another person in to fix that. In light of the service I got, I can't recommend him.

Fritz Sewer Drain Service Plumber
They did not explain their fees up front, and so it was surprising when I got the final bill. Two guys arrived to clear an outside drain. They brought a drill powered snake. After trying to clear it for less than half an hour they determined I had a hole in my drain and someone else had to come repair the pipe. Fair enough. But the final bill was just under $300. $100 for the service call, $150 for labor, and a $20 machine charge. That works out to $300/hour for labor, or a minimum of an hour for two people when the job really didn't need two. I really wish I had understood how they charged ahead of time, I would have called some else.

Sewer Friendly Plumber
Very responsive, professional, helpful. Excellent price compared to three other bids. Still have to wait for a big rain to know for sure about the quality, but I'd be surprised if there were a problem.

Rudy's Plumbing Inc. Plumber
I had a plumbing emergency and had been pulled around 50 directions by a different company that then would not assist me. I called Rudy's, got through immediately, and got a next day appointment without any trouble. I got a reasonable price quote (clearly dependent on what was found on arrival), but an actual quote! (Not a oh, no, can't possibly give you any idea like I received elsewhere.) I got a call back in reasonable time for anything (no matter how crazy) I called about. I cannot say enough good things about this company.

Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Seattle Plumber
Super polite and professional. Very quick and thorough. Definitely worth it, even though this was very much a necessary job.Needed a basement bathroom sump/ejector pump replaced. Have no idea when the pump was installed (20+ years maybe??) or how long that pump has seriously been in use (at least 10). The cover ended up being rusted over and the motor had a rooty growth all over it. Removed and replaced with a Liberty Pumps LE40 series, within about 3-4 hours. Peiman was super friendly and honest. Thank you very much!

Complete Trenchless inc Plumber
Our water line runs from our water meter some 340 lineal feet from a street a block away to our house. It runs through a seismic and erosion hazard environmentally sensitive area on a steep hillside. It is a very challenging job. I called 4 contractors and Complete Trenchless , iNC. responded very quickly with site visit and firm bid. I had to call the other contractors to push for their bids but they either said it was too difficult a job or that they could not get to it because their subcontractors were booked up. Complete Trenchless did an excellent job and finished within 3 days. The owner and his son communicated with me well and kept me apprised of any issues. They do all work in-house—no subcontractors— and that saved time and money. They provided a 25-year warranty on their labor in addition to manufacturers’ warranties on the materials. The crew is very experienced, knowledgeable, efficient, hard-working, polite and personable. They did a similarly difficult job last year for one of my neighbors and my neighbor highly recommended them to me. I was so lucky to have Complete Trenchless , INC. put in my new water line and new irrigation faucets. I highly recommend them.

Plumb Pros LLC Plumber
Bruce Melton is a god send! Unmatched expertise and honest to goodness people with the highest integrity. Call Bruce when you have an issue. Don’t think twice! We had a sewer line issue, and lost use of our plumbing entirely. We had called a dozen plumbers to come take a look and had quotes ranging from $20-30k to fix the issue. All seemed to be going after the wrong problem. It just didn’t make sense to my me. Then I found Bruce. He came out walked me through a super detailed analysis of what could potentially be happening, and took me on a journey to validate or discard each hypothesis. He found the issue, worked tirelessly to fix it and we’ve been golden since. He has over 30 years of experience (I think he really has 200yrs plus, to be honest) and will bend over backwards to resolve your issue. Hire him and you won’t regret if!
