Best Leaks in San Jose CA

I'm rarely compelled enough to write a review about anything, but felt I had to in this case. A word of caution about these guys; do your due diligence and ALWAYS ask for a second opinion if you have the time.There was a slow leak coming out the side of my lawn and my regular plumber was sick, so I gave MCP a try because of its stellar reviews and 40+ years in the business. They quoted me $800 just for them to dig and find the source of the leak. I wanted the issue to be fixed ASAP so I agreed to the cost and asked the tech if there is a crack in the mainline what would be the estimated cost to fix it. He said about the same - $800. The tech did find a crack in the mainline, but when it came time to give me the actual quote he said he misspoke earlier and the cost to fix the pipe was going to be over $1500!I called my plumber and he was absolutely adamant that the job shouldn't cost more than $600 tops. This was consistent with some general research I had done earlier on the cost range for this kind of job in the Bay Area. Glad, I cancelled the pipe fix with MCP and just waited for my plumber to get better.Watch out with these guys...

Charles Saulus was amazing. I called 3 other local businesses to fix my hydronic pancake (or taco) heat exchanger when we discovered the heat no longer worked in our home. All 3 businesses said they couldn't even find someone with the expertise to diagnose the problem, let alone fix it - including the company who installed it! Charles came to our home, listened to me, and immediately diagnosed the problem as an air lock in the heat exchanger's pump. In 30 minutes, our heat was back on. He explained every step to me and clearly was head-and-shoulders above his competition with his expertise in plumbing and HVAC. I will call on Charles again for HVAC or plumbing issues and I recommend him to you unconditionally.

Freedom Underground Plumbing replaced our main sewer and water lines. The main sewer line replacement was done entirely trench-less, whereas the water line replacement was a combination of trench-less and open trench. The entire work was done in a timely manner and with great quality; we passed inspections without any issues. The water line replacement was a bit complex with multiple turns. The crew used smooth turns on the line where possible and we have had no drop in water pressure in the house or in the irrigation lines. The crew did its best to leave the landscape looking as much like before as possible. They even put back the grass cover that had to be removed for digging a wide hole.

Freddy, the owner, gave me a quote that was competitive with the others I received. However I chose to go with Freedom Underground because Freddy genuinely seemed interested in providing the best solution for our needs. The foremen, Alex and Christian were both very responsive to my questions and kept me up-to-date with what was being done. I requested a change-order for replacing part of the sewer line under the house, and the quote provided was reasonable.

Overall, I am very happy with the experience and whole-heartedly recommend Freedom Underground for underground replacement work.

Martin and team replaced the aging pipes for both the sewer and water lines, installed brand new toilets and shower fixtures, and installed a new water heater. Excellent communication by Martin as he made sure to let me know what was going on and provided a walkthrough to show each day's progress. I had a back up issue. A plumber came out to clear the line and said I have a broken pipe. I am not sure about that, so I hired Gomez to camera scope the line, and they found the line is in perfect condition.

Then I hired them to install a 2 way clean out. On the day of the job, they found I already have a clean out. They are so honest and can totally be trust!
