The O'Grady team was super helpful, responsive and easy to deal with. Office folks were on top of scheduling etc, and onsite crew turned up when they said they would and got the job done as promised. (And for the 2 nights when the pipes were uncovered, they left the earth in the tidiest pile of dirt I've ever seen.) We've used them for several smaller jobs before but the big one went super smoothly.

Our gutter downspouts & the drainfields for each were very clogged with years of tree needles etc. We tried diligently to clean & hose them out ,usually in a rain storm with water running on our patios & decks. Plumbers really had no options & then we called Roto- Rooter. Farid arrived timly, explained the process & his specialized equipment , took downspouts off ,cleaned them, jet sprayed the drainfields ,put all back together & fully cleaned up the mess. I recommend Farid & this service with my highest recommendation & we are already advising friends & real estate agents that we work with, of the service, as I'm sure it is a common problem in the northwest. Farid was courteous , polite, prompt & professional. Finally, the costs for the job were very reasonable given the result of solving the hassle of dealing with the issue. I called a bunch of plumber services in the neighborhood to get a quote for my shower that was draining very slowly. I went with Chosen Rooter and Plumbing because of their initial quote of $150 - $250. They also advertised that they have a 15% discount on their yelp page. Because of this and the 5-star review, I scheduled for them to help fix my drain issue.

I rarely write any negative reviews, but I feel that everyone should WATCH OUT for this company because of how misleading they are with their customers.

The technicians showed up and fixed the drain in less than 15 minutes. I knew that this was going to be an easy job since the drain was not fully clogged. I thought the initial quote of $150 would be the price with the 15% discount.

The technicians told us the total would be $250. I was shocked and confused but did not want to argue with strange men in my house and would just bring this up to the manager. I paid the invoice and immediately tried to contact them to see why the price was so high.

I brought this up with the manager, Daniel, but he was not helpful and I had to message several times to get an actual response.

He told me that they charge per project and because they used a power snake, it cost more. He also mentioned that the 15% discount only applies to neighbors and that I didn't ask for the discount.

First of all, I live in San Francisco, so I am confused about how I am not considered a neighbor. Second of all, I did mention that I am calling from Yelp and the discount.

Daniel proceeded to tell me that it's so great that they charge per project because other companies charge per hour and the customer is usually milked like a cow per hour.

Overall, I would not recommend this company as they mislead their customers and do not actually use their advertised discounts. I am not entirely sure why they have a 5-star rating but I do know that some companies can pay for better reviews.

Antonio and his assistant were very proactive and responsive. They also demonstrated flexibility when we presented a new issue to be resolved. Finally, they hold true their warranty and addressed our concerns in a timely manner.

Great Workers, fast service and clean finishing.. just love it!
