From beginning to end, we had an excellent experience with Rafy of Discount Plumbing. I needed to find someone to replace my mom's leaking water heater. She told us that day that there was suddenly no more running hot water at her house. We had bought a new water heater but it was just sitting there in the garage.It was near the end of the day, past 5:00, when I noticed a Discount Plumbing van in my neighborhood, and a gentleman walking towards the vehicle. I asked for a quote.Rafy gave me a ballpark quote for what it might cost and had room in his schedule for the next day.He arrived promptly at the agreed-upon time, explained to me exactly what services he would provide, in detail, estimated the amount of time it would take and how much it would cost.He completed the job in 2-1/2 hours and showed me everything he had done. It was done professionally and cleanly, and he seemed to have excellent workmanship.I feel that he was upfront, honest, and capable, and we could not be happier with the results.Highly recommend!

Jose was prompt, professional, and extremely competent. He handled my problem, which had unexpected complexities, very efficiently. He guided me toward the more valuable company coupon, which was going above and beyond. Oh, and he arrived just 1/2 hour after my original call. I would use this business again in a heartbeat.

Jeremy came out within a few hours of our call, diagnosed the problem, and came back the next day to install a new hot water heater. Our old one wouldn’t fit down the side of the building so he came back in two days, with another guy, and they spent 2 hours cutting the old heater apart to be transported away. I can't say enough about what a great job Angelo and his crew from Discount Plumbing did with our rental home in Oakland. Angelo called me right away to set up a next day estimate. He and his crew were on time and very thorough. originally, it look like it was going to a straight forward trenchless project and Angelos's quote came in well below several other bids.

Angelo and the crew got to work on time the next day and we were lucky enough to get the once in a blue moon plumbing disaster. A city tree had a root that grew into the line and ran over 52 feet to the house from street. Angelo called me right away and kept myself and my up-to-date with multiple messages as our simple trenchless project turned into a massive multiple trench sewer excavation. After seeing the extensive work that had to be performed it was an incredible relief when Angelo gave us the additional expense from the original quote which was incredibly reasonable. At this point we were at his mercy and I felt that he made sure that he didn't take advantage of the situation. In this day I think this type of honesty is hard to come by and it almost brought me to tears.

Angelo and his crew worked long hours for two days on our little sewer project and they we so professional. The kept the area as clean as possible and communicated clearly with my neighbors, my renter and myself. Angelo was so extremely helpful and positive even as the project got bigger and bigger.

Great job on repairing my water heater! Thought I was going to have to replace the whole unit but thankfully they didn’t have to. They came out and fixed it fast and had the parts on hand. Really knowledgeable and no bs which is always nice!
