We had to replace a sewer line and connection in our four-unit condominium because the connection was broken and the discharge was leaking directly into the ground. We also had a sloping problem where the line wasn’t angling down into the city’s sewer, so backup was a danger.

Carlos and the Ace crew came out with a camera to explain the problem and the needed repairs. They gave us an estimate that seemed very reasonable (reasonable is the best you can expect; plumbing is never cheap). It involved breaking up half a dozen squares of concrete on our sidewalk and digging down 5 feet to reach the pipe and replace it.

Ace said it was a day job, but in reality it took two full days because of the clay they had to dig through. To my relief, this didn’t change the cost of the estimate.

They installed a new sewer line and connection, and it easily passed inspection. Within days they replaced the dirt they dug up and installed new concrete squares on the sidewalk.

The crew was very polite and professional, a pleasure to work with. They kept us informed of their progress and the complications of the job.

I highly recommend Ace and will use them for future plumbing problems, which hopefully won’t be for a while.

Get the price quotes in writing BEFORE service is started. They replaced my garbage disposal and toilet fill valve. I asked for a quote and he said $200+ for parts. I asked for a TOTAL cost of parts and labor and he quoted me $500+. I said great, let’s do it. Total time took 45 minutes and he presented me with a bill for $757.50. You can see the attached invoice that he charged me $515.00 for the service. WHAT??? Literally less than an hour of “service” time and more than twice the cost of parts?? I’ve called twice to speak to someone but they don’t block time to return calls so the person on the phone doesn’t know when someone will get back to me.

Wouldn’t use them again.. they told me the cost was $389.00 I feel on the floor.. The dispatcher said $89.00 to come out then a additional $89.00… if they have to unclog the toilet. He was literally here for 5 minutes … proceeded to tell me $500.00 if they have to take the toilet off.. I know things are expensive but unbelievable.
I am shocked , he said he would give me a $75.00 coupon….nice of him…
. My other plumber called as they where here who would of cost me half of that.. told him the price they charged and he is in shock land also..
off to buy my own snake for the toilet …
Learning experience .. should of had more patience and waited for my regular plumber to call back..

These guys are great, they replaced a water heater about a year ago. Gave me an estimate based on a photo I sent them and stuck to it. 2 flights up and a tight space...they were very efficient. I called them back last week because of a slow draining tub. They came that same day and fixed it within an hour. They are clean and courteous.
