I have had pretty good luck cleaning my own drains however the house is 57 years old and the requirement for cleaning has become more frequent, more complicated, and requires higher quality tools. In the last 5 years I've called on plumbers 3 times and like most people I shopped around for a good deal or special. In the first 2 instances I found several plumbers who offered a compatible or the very same best deal drain service as several other local plumbers. When called upon, before ever performing the best deal service to resolve my problem. The plumbers claimed things were looking grim, and put on a 15 minute sales pitch about how I needed to spend 3 times more money on the upgraded service that even included hi-tech cameras to look for any unknown problems and in return I spend 5 minutes explaining why I only needed pay for the service we agreed upon.So today when I discovered I have drain problem that has tapped my resources, I was sure to question what the Plumbers advertized deal included and in doing so discovered obvious bait and switch tactics within some offers. When I talked to Charlie at American Plumbing he was straight forward with his answers and sounded willing to put his best effort into the service he advertized to resolve my problem. Charlie showed up within 2 hours, we discussed the problem, the history and he went to work in spite of the displacement and severity of the blockage, and had it cleared in two hours.I was certainly happy to pay the $100.00 service Bill.Truly Grateful..........Bill Foti San Diego

He fixed the gas leak in my kitchen, cleaned and removed all debris and mess and left the place clean and tidy.There was great communication throughout starting with Ken the owner of the company to Shannon the personable lady taking the calls in the office. Everything that needed explaining was explained well. I had 2 Smart Thermostats installed. The first one was a piece a cake and went very quickly and easily. The second one took a trip to the attic. At first the Tech said a fuse was blown and said that it would cost an additional $75 to replace the fuse. I thought that was a bit steep for a fuse and its replacement but I agreed. After he spent a few minutes in the attic, he came down. I asked about the blown fuse and he never answered the question but just said there were a number of things he had to do. I didn't know if he was blowing smoke or what He still couldn't get the thermostat to work so he started back into the attic but quickly found a small problem with some wiring. He fixed that and got the thermostat to work. I'm glad he stuck with it. Everything works great now.

I unfortunately had contact with Mr. O'Fenelon in 2008/9. Let the consumer beware. Be sure you get all agreements in writing in advance. If not, he will submit documents stating that an agreement for services was verbal.
