Very honest and reliable company with great service. We thought we had a leak in our pipes but turns out we just needed to replace one part and it was an easy fix so we appreciated how honest and helpful this company’s personnel is. We worked with Angel and he was the best! So friendly and helpful and very knowledgeable! We will definitely be using Tarpy again.

I used Tarpy for 2 jobs over the last month. The first was installing a new A/C unit in one of my homes and the 2nd was to install 4 Mitsubishi mini-split units. One of the reasons that I chose Tarpy was because of the many great reviews I saw so I will add to that. Very professional, with a well-trained, competent and friendly group of installers. Having their own people qualified to do the electrical work made my life much easier. One of their managers (Dan) even fixed a potential issue with my heater that he noticed while doing a final check...no charge. Tarpy's technician, Joshua, was very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. He answered our questions about our new furnace and explained some of the complexities of the heating system. Dawn, office coordinator, was also very responsive and professional in scheduling our appointment.

Tarpy to the rescue! An error code on our 8 month old tankless water heater led us to contacting the manufacturer who, after troubleshooting, informed us it had been installed incorrectly and was a danger to our family. They referred us to their approved list of servicers in the area and that is how we found Tarpy. Called on a Friday and the receptionist/scheduler was helpful and professional, and scheduled someone to come out first thing Monday morning. The plumber, Gabriel, was also very professional, called when he was on his way, and showed up on time. He immediately confirmed the red flags that the manufacturer pointed out plus more. He helped us to come up with the most practical solution and came back first thing the following day to remove the tankless unit and install a water tank that was more suitable for our home. Gabriel was knowledgeable, took pride in his work, and was a fantastic communicator. He was upfront regarding pricing. He went above and beyond to help us out in a very unfortunate situation.

Mario did both maintenance checks on heating and AC. Provided pictures so we could understand how things looked and what additional services might be needed. Additional maintenance repairs were done in a timely matter. Mario’s knowledge base about the systems was excellent and he was able to answer all our questions.

payed 350.00 for a toilet value that did not need to be replaced and i sent them out to snake it and did not do that. had to send them back out to do it and said they would have to take the toilet off for 250.00 and would have to charge more after they found out what was wrong. so i sent another pluming company out and they snacked it with now problem and charged me only 150.00 there guys are upselling to make money very bad company to use watch out for them if you use them

Sam called to see if he could before the scheduled appointment time, which was great. He checked out our furnaces and gave us some recommendations for preventative maintenance to assure our systems were running efficiently.

We also got a complete A/C & heating system for our home and the whole process has been smooth. When other company’s were backed up over the Thanksgiving Holiday, Tarpy’s was able to come out the same day to diagnose our RUUD water heater issue. We were relieved it was a sensor and we didn’t need a whole new water heater. They gave us the option to save money by sourcing the part ourselves. We opted for them to source the part because we wanted hot water back immediately. They found the part the same afternoon, picked it up for us, and came back to repair the water heater by morning. Drew was very professional and kindly answered my 100 questions. Thanks Drew and Tarpy’s!

We have used Tarpy on many plumbing projects. Most recently I had them install sewer and water lined in ground on our lower lot feeding up to our top lot for RV hookup and a future laundry room. The Tarpy team is always fun to have on property they work hard and do great work all while making the tasks at hand fun. Love these folks!

Tarpy is a great company. They always come out when I need them. After my 3rd visit of them suggesting I need a whole new system, I finally pulled the plug and I'm glad I did. Awesome company! Tarpy did a complete HVAC system at my condo 14 years ago. There was not a single issue with any of the components or workmanship. I did have them do a complete service and install an Ecobee Thermostat. I love the mobile app for controlling my home. Tarpy just replaced my condenser and did a great job with that as well. These guys are the BEST! I have been using Tarpy for about a decade. My parents use them, my business uses them and I always recommend them. I am always impressed at the friendliness of there techs and the overall professionalism of their staff. Matt and his crew just upgraded my AC, heater and water heater to work with my solar. They were worked hard, replaced everything and then … get this… they completely cleaned everything they were around. They even SWEPT MY GARAGE FLOOR! Your not going to find a better company. Jared came out and gave me a run down of what was wrong and what my options were. A few days later Keegan and Matthew did a great job replacing my busted furnace. They were professional and did quality work quickly. They also made sure that a drywall team came out to fix up minor blemishes that occurred during the job. Great experience all around.

I had a wonderful experience with the four gentlemen that helped me with our heating problem. Our units were 20 years old and needed to be replaced. Once I was getting Ben the bid and accepted the bid our installation started the next day and took two days for full installation. They were kind, respectful and efficient. We could not be happier!! The new ecobee thermostats are so awesome!! We can adjust our temperature from our phones…how cool is that! Thank you Tarpy…we will be using you for all our heating/AC and plumbing needs!!

I wish there were half star ratings because this would really be a 4.5 star rating. This rating is for a mini split ac system I just had installed.My installation team, Eric and Manny, were absolutely top notch. Probably one of the best contractor experiences I've ever had. They were on time every day and even when they were going to be a little late, they called and notified me. They worked with me when I needed to change my schedule one day. They were very respectful of my home and made sure to cover everything every day, and clean up amazingly well at the end of each day. Would highly recommended requesting them for your AC install, they were fantastic.The star deduction comes from the misleading expectations set by the main office. They told me the install would take 4 days. To me, that means from start to complete finish (drywall and paint). They actually just meant the actual AC install. I expected the paint and dry wall team to be different but I expected them to come in as soon as the install was finished. Instead I had to ask about when the drywall team would be coming. Only then was the team contacted and called me to schedule, to which they told me they were all booked up and it could take weeks until the finishing job was actually complete.Overall, my experience with Tarpy was fantastic. Everyone I spoke with or interacted with was extremely responsive and helpful whenever I had questions, there was just the one little hiccup/annoyance that made it not perfect, but you have to expect that when dealing with contractors I guess.TLDR: Highly recommend Tarpy!

Very nice working with tarpy. Offer things to improve HVAC system but no pressure.

After several estimates, I hired Tarpy to replace my ductwork, furnace, AC and thermostat. I now have a hybrid system (heat pump, furnace and thermostat) which works nicely with my solar panels.Paul was the consultant and the installation took.place the same week ! Matthew and Dawson managed and completed the installation in two days, working long days and making sure I was kept informed on each step and answering any questions.Everything now works like a charm and I would/will use this company again.

He was very helpful, very kind, explained things well, and just kept working on it until it was fixed. He shared a Maintenence Plan that Tarpy offers that was a GREAT value, I signed up for it on the spot. I am very happy that Dawson referred me to this company!

Our water heater started leaking, so we called Tarpy’s 24/7 number. They called and came out the next day. All staff were courteous and professional, and we have our new water heater. Would highly recommend using Tarpy.

We actually had a negative experience with Tarpy for a water heater repair. After we received a phone call from the owner who personally apologized for our issues and cancelled the invoice. They did not need to call us but that was a nice touch and showed how professional and accountable they are. Will use them again because of the way they handled the issue.

TARPY is still family-owned and it shows in their level of service and kindness. We saw a TV ad on the morning news for an A/C tune-up special and we called right away. Our TARPY technician, Robert was fantastic. Side note: We did have a different company out the previous year but the inspection turned into a cringy sales pitch instead of an actual preventive maintenance visit. TARPY was different right off the bat. They picked the right person with outstanding character in Robert. He put his boot covers on even after I recommended he didn’t have to. He cleaned up our A/C and gave some recommendations on maintenance for the systems. We ended up selecting an annual membership so we can call TARPY back for our heating unit preventive maintenance in the winter at no extra cost. Our units are old and we know they’ll need replacing in the next few years, but Robert didn’t try to sell us anything we didn’t want right now. When our systems finally do need replacement, we’ll be calling TARPY to get it done.

Installed recirculating pump, expansion tank & changing all necessary control valves relative to the job at hand..The crews were very polite, cordial and punctual. They were never short on explanations on what the job entails. They care for your property, putting on shoe covers, putting back things as it was and cleaning up after. They carefully checked operations of the system before going through the invoice. Very professional and friendly ? We sure glad we went with TARPY!! THANK YOU GUYS

Tarpy originally did our HVAC install and we have a maintenance contract with them. They recently did a full plumbing inspection and secured all new check valves, replaced faucets and shower valves, as well as fixed traps and drains all for a reasonable price with an additional 10% discount in just two days.

Great service from quote calls to inspections. We built an ADU and needed to move our old AC unit to pour concrete for access to the dwelling. I called several companies including the one that installed our ductless HVAC on the ADU and no one would touch and old one. Tarpy sent someone out the next day, he thoroughly inspected our ducts, vents and ancient but still working system and clearly explained all our options. With all our construction expenses, we could not afford to put in a new system to replace what was removed and our technician really worked a deal for us to buy now, pay/install later to maintain lower off season pricing.We also signed up for the maintenece plan, as it was included at a great price and before we even got our system installed, they scheduled us for a plumbing maintenance inspection. Tony was our technician. He was awesome, explained what was being done thouroughly and was able to repair a broken valve on our tankless water heater that we have struggled to get maintenence done in for 10 years.Billy and Dawson just left after a 2 day HVAC install, all new appropriate sized ducts, quick and tidy service and I am actually stoked to enjoy the hot East County summers without energy wasting guilt.I even an looking forward to dealing with our coordinator Stephanie at the office tomorrow, as she is always awesome as well.Im liking what they do in this company as a whole and after a year of contractors for everything you can imagine, not all are created equal in service, price, or genuine human decency. The degree of professionalism and attention to detail displayed by Hernan Gamino was outstanding and worthy of much praise. Hernan methodically conducted troubleshooting of our entire HVAC system and conducted a very thorough diagnostic evaluation to ensure that our system was running at maximum efficiency. It was truly a pleasure to meet him and to have him work on our HVAC system, as well as to be educated on our system’s operation. Will ask for Hernan again and we will recommend Tarpy and Hernan to everyone we can.

Tarpy installed two new furnaces and AC units last week and replaced all the duct work I my home. It was a really big job. Removal of the three old units ( yes, three, each one the size of a small car and three AC units) took 2.5 days for two guys, Cole and Ryan. They worked smart, and worked hard, were courteous with each other and me every minute. They had to disassemble units in the hot attic in order to get them out without cutting through drywall. Removal of the old duct work looked brutal - there are 51 vents/registers in my home, two attics, three stories. It took a day and a half. It’s amazing how efficiently they worked, I never got the sense they were rushing. They worked methodically, continuously, and in an organized way all the time. I couldn’t have asked for better treatment. Each day they showed up on time, and they took a short break to eat something and they worked all day. Cole would give me an update on whether they were tracking on, ahead of or behind schedule everyday.Installation of the new duct work and units was an incredible amount of work that they made seem effortless. Again, I was so impressed how genuinely polite they were all the time. By the 5th day there was still a lot of work to do and I figured there was no way the project would wrap up on time. They called for help, which on a Friday afternoon I didn’t expect them to get. But lo and behold, Chuck, Chris and Bryan showed up on Friday afternoon, since they had wrapped up their work for the week earlier that day. I didn’t mean to eavesdrop but I heard two of them had to cancel their existing personal plans in order to help on my house. They never complained, they never treated me with anything other than professionalism and they treated each other with respect. These poor guys were at my house until almost 9 at night on a Friday after a very very long week of work. I can’t say enough about how lovely the crew was - genuinely excellent people. The systems that were installed (Trane systems) are fantastic. I love the peace of mind I have knowing that this investment in our home will provide energy bill and maintenance savings, but I also love the peace of mind I have knowing that the highest caliber of people installed it. I’m grateful to the initial technician, Nicholas, who hand selected Cole and Ryan to work on this job, and after meeting Chuck, Chris, and Bryan who are also excellent, I’m convinced that the Tarpy owners know a thing or two about hiring and retaining good people.

Fantastic Service & Professional Installation!I had a brand new Tank Water Heater installed today, and the process from start to finish was about as stress free as you can make it.Anthony Anderson is 100% awesome. He walked me through the entire install. He quoted me last week for a very reasonable service price for removal of old equipment and installation of a new water heater. He even made it abundantly transparent what every item on the service request was and how much it cost. No surprises!I appreciate the extra effort Tarpy's Pluming & Heating put in with respect to new Tank Water Heater. It honestly feels like a space age upgrade from the old one! I’ve been needing my system repaired for quite some time, the heater was my main concern. Paul came out initially and gave me prices on changing out my full system which was much appreciated. I was unable to replace the system but I did have my current system fixed thanks to Nicholas who was very professional and explained everything he was going to do in detail also there was absolutely NO pressure on which option to purchase. He was kind and personable, thanks again!!

Tarpy recently completed a new 6 zone Mitsubishi heat pump system upgrade for our 40 year old home. A challenging install, due to very limited access and attic space for the equipment. The 2 week installation process went smoothly, the team was very experienced and responsive to our needs and questions, and we are absolutely thrilled with the result. No other firm that we interviewed for this project had the equipment knowledge, experience, and problem solving ability that Tarpy brought to there table. We would consider no other firm for our next project!

Called on Saturday afternoon because A/C had stopped working. Web site said 24/7 service. Talked to a answering service, they said that they would get a message to Tarpy ASAP. I finally got a call from Tarpy on Tuesday. By then I had found another a/C company on Sunday morning who arrived an hour after i called and fixed my air-conditioner . If you're not going to show up for 2 days please say so on Your web site.

Another fantastic job! Special thanks to Cole. He added a booster fan to our upstairs ventilation which finally overcomes he house's original design and gets air flow to the area.

Tarpy recently installed a new heating system for us to replace a 30 year old system that had run its course. The rep did a good job first spelling out repair vs replace costs, and then once we decided it made more sense to replace, giving us options that were a good fit for our needs and budget. They were able to get us in very quickly and the installers showed up on time, were very professional and knowledgeable, and completed the job in a couple of hours. Have to say great experience overall.

UPDATE 8/17/2020: Tarpy has gone out of its way to make me a happy Tarpy customer! After the AC was installed, we noticed that one of our vents was not pushing air through it, well it was but it was very light.I called and Jared came out and recommended increasing the vent size. Tarpy took care of everything! I didn’t have an extra expense, they just wanted me happy!Arty and Chris were scheduled to perform the recommended fixes. Both Arty and Chris were polite, respectful and very nice. They performed the tasks and now I get the amount of air that exceeds my expectations! I am so happy that I chose Tarpy. I doubt another company would have gone above and beyond to make a customer as happy as Tarpy has done for me! Tarpy was everything you want in a professional company, both management and crew. They were on time and on budget, with a quality product and attentive installation. The technicians were polite, showed up with clean clothes and protective booties. They laid down clean drop clothes for the removal of the old furnace and install of the new. They got to work and didn't stop until they were in their truck 2 hours later, on their way to their next project. It was great working with a professional team. I am a regional operations manager for a commercial building automation firm and know what great service is. From Scott who came and gave the estimate to Bowen and Ryan who did the installation, everyone was professional and did everything to make the installation quick yet perfect. Even dealing with Chad in the office for payment on the back end was great. Hopefully I do not need to use them again but I definitely recommend Tarpy.

I can understand why this group has an Elite designation by Mitsubishi. While other AC companies wanted to cut corners to do my complex install, Tarpy went above and beyond to work with me to run everything efficiently and run drain lines when other companies were discouraging the extra work. The installers were great guys and they spent a lot of time to both make sure I was happy and that they got everything right. I am glad I worked with Tarpy and I'd recommend them.

Starting with Cody who came and accessed what we needed to be done to solve the cooling issue to Cole and Matt that did the install the entire experience was very professional and high quality.Not only are we happy with the outcome but we are extremely pleased with the guys. We had an outstanding experience with Tarpy. We were given six estimates to choose from. We picked one that was our best option. The price was right! They installed heating and AC with house remodel a few years ago. This last year assessed and serviced heating and AC system. Now removed on functional frozen garbage disposal and installed new garbage disposal and associated piping replaced.

The technicians , Hernen and J.D, that installed the air/heat were on time, professional, polite, thorough. I felt very comfortable with them being in my house. The job was complete and they cleaned up everything. The air/heating system works so good. My husband & I are very happy with Tarpy Heating & Air and highly recommend them to everyone .

Cody M came to my hose today to diagnose and fix my thermostat. It turned out that the Nest Thermostat that I bought was not compatible with my Amana HVAC system. He reinstalled the old thermostat and only charged me a diagnostic fee. I was very happy that I did not get over charged for a simple procedure. As a doctor, I expect meticulous service, and Tarpy came through from the beginning to the end of the project. Their project planner, Scott Bergen, is an expert in telling us what our needs were and proposed several options from which to choose within our budget. The installers, Bowen, Jason and Nick were all experts, hardworking and respectful of our needs and very pleasant to work with. Ask for them to be your crew. Paul and Brock Tarpy, the owners, were not satisfied until we were. It is rare for me to have such a great experience from any contractor but this company, far and away, deserve 5 stars and my highest recommendation.

I contacted Tardy on a hot Saturday afternoon for an emergency A/C repair and they sent Jared within 2 hours. He was professional, competent and after an assessment explained all our options. There was no off putting “hard sell” which made us comfortable and trust his recommendations. He repaired our unit, saved us some money on future electric bills and now we have a cool house! It was a hot one this summer and our A/C has had weak air flow and struggled to cool the house off in a timely manner. We finally reached out to Tarpy and man are my wife and I glad we did! Nicholas came out for an initial inspection and went above and beyond to explain everything to me in great detail. I felt like I was an apprentice or trainee as he walked me through any issues he noticed, things that were fine as they were, and others that needed to be replaced/fixed. We chose Tarpy to install an HVAC for central AC and moving our existing furnace to the attic which was previously in an odd spot in the house. Paul came to our house to do a walkthrough, take measurements and discuss the best options for our needs with an itemized, no hidden fees quote. He gave us an appointment for a few days after our initial consultation which was great because the weather’s starting to warm up.The whole process was very easy, stress free and only took 3 days. Jason, Reid and team were here every morning on time, carefully explained what they were working on each day and everyone was properly wearing a face mask while in my house which is something we really do appreciate. They would give us a heads up when they needed to shut off the gas or power (because my electric panel’s missing some labels) and made sure to protect the floors and cleaned up after each day. Overall a very pleasant experience, we’re super happy to have AC and would recommend this team 100%.

From the very first phone call, I was very impressed with their service. I had no heat, and within 2 hours for a service call, they were at my home. The heating contactor was very efficient in assessing the problem, trouble shooting and making recommendations. I had the option of making repairs, but was also given an estimate of future issues since the furnace was over 11 years old. I opted for replacement and a sales appointment was set up for later in the day. When Luke arrived, he was very professional, spent a lot of time making sure I had a clear understanding of the systems available to choose from, which ones would fit my needs, the costs involved and helped me make a decision that I was comfortable with. Since I had no heat at all, he arranged to have the installment done the next day, and provided me with space heaters, for which I really appreciated!! The following day, the installation crew arrived early, the installation went very smoothly, and I was very impressed with their workmanship. Our Tarpy technician, Cody, arrived on time for an AC tuneup and quickly diagnosed an issue we noticed with the compressor turning on & off frequently.He realized that was due to a freon leak that had depleted the charge over the last year. Yikes! Everything about this company was professional. Installed new AC and furnace, new ductwork throughout. System was designed really well, more thorough than any other company I got estimates from. Installation was extremely professional. Jason and Crow were punctual, diligent and professional from start to finish. They were very respectful of my home, wore booties to not bring dirt in, protected my furnishings with plastic and cleaned well each day, leaving not a trace. They paid attention to detail and took the time to do the job well. Jason was committed to leaving a happy customer and explained the Process and the workings of the system really well. Our central AC/furnace is only about 3 years old but it has already been a very warm summer and we have been running it a lot so were looking to get a tune up just to make sure everything was working good and for preventative maintenance. This is the third time I've used Tarpy Plumbing Heating & Air, two at the old place, and now this time at our new home.After seeing the recent increases to SDG&E's natural gas prices I started researching electric heat pumps and electric water heaters. Since my home now has a large solar setup I figured why not get off gas all together. Paul came out and gave the home a detailed inspection to determine our needs, gave me all the options (I think I had 5 to choose from but barely had to get past #2 before I knew what I wanted).We had the furnace replaced with an electric heat pump, the water heater moved from it's old poor location and replaced with an electric version. They replaced the old duct work, built a platform for the new heat pump, added ducting into a room that had been on it's own split system, and it's all controlled in two zones with smart thermostats. Also installed an attic vent fan to help with cooling efficiency.The crews that came out to do the work were excellent. Knowledgeable, accommodating, and friendly. Chuck, Chris, Adam, Eric, Matthew and Dawson are all welcome back to work on my home whenever it's needed, but with this new system I should only need routine maintenance for the next few years.Financing was easy and flexible too, payments in my case basically offset the higher NG prices from SDG&E, almost like getting solar to replace the electric bill.I'd confidently recommend Tarpy to anyone in need of these same services.

Tarpy just finished installing 4 mini-split systems in our house, just in time for summer! The whole process was extremely easy with great service.We received a quote from Broc, who was very knowledgeable and friendly from the start! He was very patient while my husband and I took some time to decide what units we wanted. His communication, along with his office was impeccable! We were able to set an appointment for two weeks out to get the systems installed.Jason and Crow were prompt and extremely efficient with the installation process. Im always skeptical to be alone with people in our house, but I felt so comfortable with them and I even left for the day and they locked up the house for us. Jason is an expert with the systems and was detailed oriented with making sure I liked where the units were placed. All of the drywall cuts are very clean and hidden. Our furnace started failing and Tarpy was contacted to debug and replace. We are very pleased with their professionalism, communication, and work. The texts they send as a reminder & technician picture/background info are excellent. Bowen and his helper (cannot remember his name) were awesome. We needed a replacement heating unit for a townhome in Bonita. Tarpy was quick with an evaluation and quickly got a crew out. Nicholas came out and fixed some issues I was having with a new mini split system I bought from The Home Depot. All the brass fittings were leaking so he was able to cut and flare all the fittings, put a fresh charge of freon, and now it's blowing ice cold! The workers are still great at Tarpy but I realized after the fact that I paid way too much. Possibly in the thousands, for the smallest HVAC system.This is from a couple years earlier:I have had two excellent experiences with this company. Today Alex got my water heater up and running in no time. He was very friendly and efficient. Previously, Scott discovered a trick played by a realtor for the buyers of our previous home. They claimed the HVAC was not functioning and wanted us to pay for a new one. Scott reconnected a tiny wire, saving us thousands of dollars!

Nicholas has come out a few times to clean, service, and replace a part in my AC unit. He was always super friendly, professional, and very efficient. He was also very knowledgeable and gave me info and tips on how to look after my AC so it would have a longer life and would cost me less money in repairs in the long run. Totally trust these guys!

A shout out to Nicholas from Tarpy! He was professional and friendly while providing maintenance on my heater/air conditioner and mini split. He wore a mask and gloves and kept his distance as we spoke. I have used Tarpy Plumbing Heating & Air since 2013 and I highly recommend them. They hire top notch employees!

System Diagnostic check of the heat pump inspection of heat pump on roof found concern with voltage regulator and mainline switch recommended a AC rejuvenation which would include balancing refrigerant charge replacing voltage regulator and mainline switch also injected system with high-quality leak sealant to prevent any further leak occurrences . Completed testing of the system found air-conditioning producing Supreme cooling were intake temperature was at 74° and supply temperature at 52° testing of heating System found dramatic increase in output temperature rating as high as 120° after five minutes of run time system tested well at this time.Jared is a highly qualified technician. He took the time to explain the work while he was working on a hot rooftop. He is very thorough and goes the extra mile to achieve positive outcome for the customer.I will definitely enlist Tarpy & particularly Jared again.Thank you for a job well done.

We had two 40 year old furnaces that needed replacing in a duplex. I believe it was Scott who came out to give us our third estimate on the job.....We decided on Tarpy and Bowen and Ryan came out as scheduled in the early morning and worked all day installing both units. From start to finish I had a fantastic experience. I called Tarpy originally just for a professional opinion on what I’d been told by two other companies regarding single stage, dual stage, keeping my old furnace, etc. Scott, the manager, was patient with me while I asked all my detailed questions and he gave me his suggestions for our situation which came across as sincere. We were needing a larger return air, an additional vent to run to our master because it was undersized and a new vent to my office. I liked Scotts demeanor so much over the phone that I told him if he could meet the other companies price I’d go with them. Within minutes he sent me a detailed bid of everything I was wanting for what I believe was a very good price. He gave me better equipment than the other companies I’d spoken with for a better price.Scott’s crew was able to come out within days to begin the install and in fact, called and asked if they could start a day early which I was excited about! The installers names were Cole and Arti. I can’t say enough good things about them both as people and the quality of work they performed. They were very eager to make sure I was happy with how things were done and would regularly have me come look to make sure I was ok with where the vent would be placed and multiple other details of the job. It was refreshing to see such hard working and respectful young guys! I’m sure they both have bright futures ahead of them! We so appreciate everything they did and I couldn’t recommend a company more! It turns out the day our A/C, furnace, and ducting was complete it got really hot. Perfect timing! Paul Tarpy provided an estimate for a new water heater and room to room air/heating system for five rooms and for three rooms. Months later I contacted the company to replace the water heater to avoid any flooding which I experienced 14 years ago. The plumber called to let me know he was on his way, although he was a little late. The installation went smoothly, professionally and safely. Masks were worn and he did not have to come inside my home as the water heater closet is outside. I will be contacting the company for further work with heating/air system.

All aspects of service were extremely professional. Scheduled service for the very next day. Technician was outstanding and all at a fair price. Also, front office is terrific, verifying appointment and keeping me informed. I highly recommend these guys!!

I have one of the two AC units replaced due to refrigerant leaking from two locations of the system. Tarpy came in to install the new AC unit and found drip pans full of water. After checking out the situation they found the drainage done incorrectly by the builders. The issue was resolved with ease as well as the installation process. The install would have taken just one day, but due to the drainage issue, two days was needed.

Tarpey did an excellent job for me. Bruce was thorough, professional, and courteous. We had a problem with our air conditioning system. We called Tarpy and placed a service call on June 10th, 2020.The technician Nicholas called to indicate his planned arrival time. He was actually ahead of the time we were given by their dispatcher!? When Nicholas arrived he had a facemask on and also wore foot protection before he entered the house. He found the problem and made the necessary repairs. He explained everything he did to repair the problem. He also explained what other services Tarpy provides.His work was professional and thorough. Very satisfied with the service Nicholas provide. We are highly likely to use Tarpy for future services.

Our blower fan for the our ac unit was acting up. Cody from Tarpy was able to came out a few days earlier than initially scheduled and did a stellar job diagnosing the issue and recommending some options on how to proceed with the fix. He got jokes to!Beam me up Scotty

I had 2 Smart Thermostats installed. The first one was a piece a cake and went very quickly and easily. The second one took a trip to the attic. At first the Tech said a fuse was blown and said that it would cost an additional $75 to replace the fuse. I thought that was a bit steep for a fuse and its replacement but I agreed. After he spent a few minutes in the attic, he came down. I asked about the blown fuse and he never answered the question but just said there were a number of things he had to do. I didn't know if he was blowing smoke or what He still couldn't get the thermostat to work so he started back into the attic but quickly found a small problem with some wiring. He fixed that and got the thermostat to work. I'm glad he stuck with it. Everything works great now.

I tried to use them to repair our office ACbecause they were referred to me by a friend who owns a large pest control company. Site visit was fine, pricing was provided in hand written format on lined paper, which I thought was odd, so I asked if it could be emailed in a formal estimate. A week passed, as my employees and I suffered office temps in the 90’s and stayed glued to our desk fans. Finally I called and asked for the formal estimate- which was provided. I asked for an appointment and understandably, it was over a week out. My appointment Window was on a friday from 12-2pm. At 1:45 I received a call and was told the “parts company” JUST ordered the parts that day. Yeah... an hour and 45 minutes i to my appointment window and they call with that? She insisted it was not their doing, but the “parts company’s”fault. Yeah... She told me she would call me with an updated appointment time, which after one week did not happen. Finally I called them back, saying I was supposed to get a call back regarding another appointment window; to which I got: “you were on my list of people to call today.” yeah... i was then told that the part was on backorder and it would mot ship for another 22 days, again, the “parts company’s” fault.. Yeah. Of course, there IS a solution; which sounded a lot like “ instead of a part, buy the whole thing, those are in stock and we can get it much faster... I asked her to send an email with the information for what I was originally quoted and what she was proposing... that was Friday before Labor day weekend and its only tuesday AM, but im not holding my breath. i called another company (That i should have called three weeks ago) after Fridays call with Tarpy and they’ll be here tomorrow AM.Service guy was professional, polite and prompt. But overall service has been disappointing, if not frustrating, to say the least...

After our water heater ruptured they were super helpful and recommended a great company that would take of the repairs to the house from the water. The tech did a good job of making sure that our new water heater was working well and had no leaks. Would highly recommend.

We were having low pressure on our shower in the master bath, so I decided to give these guys a call.They had a free diagnostic promotion going on and I took full advantage of it.Alex came out and spent about 40 minutes with me. He took a very consultative approach and educated me on a laundry list of plumbing-related things I had no idea about. Thankfully our low water pressure was an easy fix (just had to clear some sediment that was in the shower head restrictor/filter).He also took the time to do a thorough inspection of the other valves my home. It turns out a lot of those valves are on their way out and, as a preventative measure, he strongly recommends replacing them.I’ll likely end up doing that job with them in the near future.Good vibes from Alex all around and super thankful for their free consultation and educative process.

The installers worked very hard to get it all installed in one day. They were very friendly and informative, and everything went great.Uodate 1+ year:Unfortunately the new A/C heat pump system they put in would not warm the house (modern very well insulated) above 64 degrees in the winter (their knowledge of the east county mountain area is/was an issue).So we had to have it all pulled out a little over a year later and pay for a new propane furnace. No discount and higher prices than other quotes but I didn't want multiple installers for future warranty work. I felt I should have gotten a price break since what they sold me did not perform and I was given zero credit from my old(new) system. So in a nutshell what should have been a $8000 system cost me $15000.Also just found out today they have no after hours support as my A/C unit is dripping and has ruined my ceiling so 2 days 90 plus degrees and no A/C for me on an 18 month old system.

Jeff did an outstanding job.The only issue I have is that Jessica has not answered my email. I have requested a copy of my original invoice when I first had my A/C installed. Jeff told me after looking at the A/C unit that it was installed in 2006. I do have some paperwork that shows it was installed August 7, 2014. I just need some clarification.I also asked Jessica to tell Jeff that I would like to have the hard start module installed as soon as he gets one that fits my unit. His quoted price for that module was $150.00 installed.Other than that, my unit is working great, I love the ecobee thermostat. I've used Tarpy for air conditioning work for almost 3 years now. I first came across them because my business was required to have air filters changed every quarter by a licensed HVAC contractor. The contractor selected by my property manager charged me $75 for a filter replacement 4 times a year. That seemed like a lot to me for something I could easily do myself. So... I called Tarpy Heating and Air and I just happened to get a hold of the owner Paul. Paul told me he would be happy to become our service provider and he would do it for much less every quarter and just asked me to think of him when I had another HVAC need.So, Paul or one of his guys have been replacing my filters for 2 years, always discreet and professional. About 2 years later I decided to put AC in the house. I did shop around a bit and Tarpy gave me a great bid. It was a couple hundred more than 2 other shops I talked to, but I knew I could trust this company to do it right and to fix anything that might go wrong without any difficulty (which in my experience is not always easy to find.)Everything went great with my installation and I've had great use of my AC for the last year until we hit our first hot week in June. My unit stopped working on a hot afternoon, no sound and no movement in the unit. I called Tarpy and talked to Richard who sent out a tech the next morning. Something in the unit had failed under the first heavy use so the tech Adam replaced a small part for me and said that it was such a simple fix that there was no charge to take care of it (Awesome!)My furnace is about 24 years old and I know I'm gonna have to swap it out this fall or next and I plan on calling Tarpy again.

This is the second time I have used Tarpy. I was very pleased with the service last time so I called them again regarding 3 outside water faucets that had leaks, and one that needed replacing. I had heard that this can get very expensive, and that if they have to remove the brick work the plumber does not replace it so someone else would have to be called.I called Tarpy on Friday, and set up an appointment for Today, at 10:00 am. The woman from Tarpy called me around 10, and told me Ed was on his way. Ed arrived within 15 minutes and explained the work on the back faucet and that depending on what he found; worst case scenario, he may have to take out several bricks and replace the faucet. I asked him if I would have to call someone else to fix the brick work. Ed said no he would put the bricks back and depending on how much work it took it could be up to around $300 or a little more. Ed completed the repair to the one faucet with minimal work, as only the mortar needed to be removed and the faucet unscrewed easily. He replaced it with a new faucet, and repaired the mortar. He replaced the washers on the other two faucets and was done with it all in one hour. Ed arrived within the time limit, with a clean uniform, with his name on it and the Tarpy logo. He was very polite, efficient and informative. I appreciate Tarpy for their continual professionalism when it comes to their employees and staff. Thank you Tarpy Plumbing.

We had two toilets repaired (new tank parts), a new connection from our dishwasher to the water supply valve and had them check out our shower (water flow/pressure low, making burbling noises.).Overall, I was very pleased. After debating about three plumbers for our rental house in San Diego, I decided to try Tarpy Plumbing. I feel like I made a good choice! When I called, I was happily surprised when I was asked if they could come that same day. Mike and Todd arrived within twenty to thirty minutes of my initial phone call. Mike checked out the shower issues and decided we just needed a new shower head. Each toilet (one leaked into the bowl, one filled very slowly) needed new tank parts. The plumber repaired one, Todd did the other. Mike made a new connection between the dishwasher water line and the water supply valve. Todd even passed on some helpful info about shower cartridges. Professional, knowledgable, willing to listen and to explain what they were doing. Thanks to these guys, several nagging problems should be taken care of now.

We just moved into a house where the previous owners damaged the icebox causing a leak (floor wet & carpet in other room wet), I initially called our home warranty and the initial plumber they sent seemed a little shady and trying to make a buck. I then called Tarpy's plumbing and Sam came over Monday morning. He was on time, professional, and took the time to assess the situation. Just based on his explanation of what needed to be done I felt very confident that he was really doing his best to get the job in an efficient manner.

Where businesses, like Mauzy, try to get the most money out of you through fear based upselling tactics, Tarpy offers a solutions based approach that fits with your budget. In particular, Jarrad (our technician from Tarpy) was patient, thoughtful and provided short and long term alternatives that got my AC back up and running and didn't break the bank. He is a true professional and it felt like I was getting advice from a friend. On a 105 day in Alpine, he knew I was desperate for a solution. But he didn't take advantage of that fact. If you are looking for a solutions based HVAC company that is not going to bleed you dry, try Tarpy. In this business, that's unfortunately comprised mostly of profit motivated outfits, they are the good guys.

We decided this year to replace our aging central air conditioner system. We requested quotes from six companies ranging from small to large, and ultimately selected the proposal submitted by Tarpy Heating and Air conditioning. We met with Paul Tarpy several times to review and refine the proposal, and he was able to include a number of requests we had that included altering the locations of various existing components of the system. The proposed cost for the system was both fair and competitive when compared to the 5 other proposals; the quote included the full system described below as well as the removal of a previous system and re-location of the outdoor condenser.The system is an Amana 16 seer 4 ton condenser paired with an evaporator coil and a variable speed 96% efficient furnace. We asked for the more efficient furnace; the original proposal included the choice of a standard 80% or the 96%. The variable speed aspect was necessary because this was designed as a zoned system allowing for separate temperature regulation of the upstairs and downstairs floors of our home.Our installers, Jason and Nick, were extremely professional, courteous, and very careful, as they worked in and around various rooms of our home during the 4+ day installation process. They kept us apprised of their schedules and worked very hard for a full 8-10 hours each day. Much of the work involved moving things in and out of the attic, where the main assembly was done, and outdoors where the new condenser was mounted and set up. They were very conscientious about placing tarps and covers over the carpet, and in cleaning up every last trace of any dust or attic debris before leaving each day. One of many things about their work that was really outstanding and that we really appreciated was that they were able to make the new outdoor condenser location work, and, at their own initiative, they were able to come up with an extremely elegant solution to the routing the new electrical supply and refrigerant line set from the outdoor condenser location to the upper attic location of the evaporator coil. Because of the location and distance between condenser and coil, we expected that they would need to install a 40 foot plus run of outside conduit across the back of the house; instead they came up with an imaginative solution that concealed from view almost the entire run of the line set, and for this we are very grateful to them. Another example of their ability to translate our needs into action was in working with us to place the new air return system in a location that worked with the flow of the rooms in the house.Overall, are very pleased with our new HVAC system and we very highly recommend Tarpy Heating and Air conditioning to anyone thinking about updating their residential furnace and air conditioner system. Our interactions with office staff (Jessica), project manager (Chad), our installers (Jason and Nick), and with Paul (project designer) were nothing but professional and top notch at every stage of the process

Turned out good. The plumbers were professional, nice and he really went above and beyond the call of duty. I needed to purchase a whole new incinerator. I purchased that and then then he installed that for me. He also checked the plumbing in my bathroom; Tarpy plumbing was very thorough.

They had the best of three estimates not only on price, but on technical data and specifics as well.3. Tarpy's warranties on equipment and installation beat the competitors.4. We could not be happier!We tested out the new system after installation was complete for heat and cool air conditioning and we could not believe how quiet the system was compared to our older (and for the past few months, non-working) system. It used to be when the old unit came on, we could be anywhere inside our home and hear it outside loudly cranking away - and I'm sure our neighbors could hear it as we well. With the new Amana system from Tarpy, the only way we know it is even running is by feeling the air coming out through the vents or looking at the modern thermostat's temperature indication.Last night it was raining and cold in El Cajon, and we turned on our new Heat Pump system for the first time - this was not a test! I have been very happy with the work Tapry Heating & Air has done on our jobs. The guys are hard working, clean, and thorough. We had one project recently where the estimator recommended going with a mini split system over a standard ducted system. While it cost about 10% more upfront, the efficiency was so much higher, our owner should see those savings back in a couple of warm summers. They simply could had sold us the ducted system we originally discussed but were willing to go the extra mile to see what our needs were and tailor a system for us that in the long run will be a major cost savings. Im always happy to give our their number when I am asked who I trust for an HVAC contractor.

Couldn't be happier with Tarpy. We had a mini-split AC/heater unit installed over the weekend, and Nick P and Cole were incredibly fast, efficient, friendly, and thoroughly explained everything they were doing. Nick P even went so far as explain the science behind BTUs and how the machine works, which I really appreciated despite the fact that I'm mostly a dum-dum when it comes to science. This might have been the second or third time we've hired Tarpy to do something in our home, and it's always been an extremely pleasant experience.

The guy was really good and he was quick. They've been around awhile so they stand behind their work. The price was fair. They stayed true to the original estimate. The plumbing contractor knew how long it would take. The work turned out to be great. He had to do a bunch of welding in the wood. He didn't burn it. He was really polite and knowledgeable.

We had Alex Gonzalez out to our house to take a look at a sewer line repair needed. Alex was very easy to talk too. Very knowledgeable and relayed the information to me easily. Definitely recommend Using this company.

Tom was very professional, polite, and on time. I needed 2 items fixed for a bathroom sink, a slow drain, and low water pressure. The first item was fixed very quickly (less than 10min) and the sink drained with no problems, impressive. The second item, low water pressure had more variables. Water pressure was checked from the water heater and visual checked the water pressure regulator, both checked out ok. Master bathroom has 2 sinks, 1 has no pressure issues, the other one only has low pressure. Cartridge was manually inspected and checked out ok, Tom suggested that the angle stop be replaced as most of the pressure issues can be caused due to corrosion or faulty rubber gasket. He did give me a disclaimer that there could be other possibilities. After he replaced the angle stop there was no improvement in water pressure. Instead of troubleshooting further I didn't want to keep throwing money at this. $300 for both items and only 1 of them being fixed. The service provided by Tom again was very professional as well as Jessica's communication and schedule coordinating, outstanding. I'm giving 3 stars only because I feel deflated after spending $300 and only 1 of the items being fixed.

I called on a Sunday intending to leave a voicemail but a man answered, who I presume was Mr. Tarpy. I made an appointment for the following Wednesday. On Wednesday, I received a call telling me the plumbing contractor was on his way. They arrived, did all the work and although I was at work all day and my wife was home with them, as far as we can tell they did everything well. The water line entailed some sheetrock work which was done very well and in short - there were no issues. A great experience! David came out for the initial visit. He was thorough and provided insight into repairs/replacements that should be made to prevent future plumbing issues. I originally just thought I needed some toilets with running/flushing issues repaired but David noticed that the water lines and stops were of very inferior quality. All the materials, including the toilets were the lowest quality that today's homebuilders install to save them money. He made great recommendations for reasonable priced upgrades, providing various pricing levels. Larry and Daniel came out the next week and replaced 2 toilets and re-built the insides of a third. They were polite, prompt and so efficient. In less than 2 hours any concerns I had about plumbing were gone!

I called them for ac repair on Saturday7/10/2021; they said a tech would call in 20 mins; the tech called and said he'd be there it 30 mins; he arrived on time, checked out my 17 yr. old ac; and after the dust settled, we decide on a New unit, which they installed on Monday 7/12/2021!! Tarpys is awesome. From the first visit by the estimator to the final good-bye, they were just great. Jason, the plumber that did the work, is a true professional with lots of attention to detail and pride in his work. I had several plumbers come and bid the work. One came, looked (didn't touch), gave me a price pretty quick and left. Another came, spent A LOT of time looking at the work, gave me confidence he could do a good job. He said because of his previous associations (with some of the other companies had been here), he knew his price was going to be a lot less. but when he sent the bid a few days later it was more than double the number from Tarpys. Another plumber came and did a god job understanding the work, said he was too busy to give me a number right away because he was going on vacation; never did send me a bid. There were 2 others that just didn't give me confidence. When Jason from Tarpys came to do the estimate he crawled through the house, through the crawl space, explained how they would do the work and why. All said and done I am extremely happy with their work.. Based on my experience you will not go wrong if you chose Tarpys.

I've used Tarpy 4 times in 4 years. Mainly for planned projects except the last one. I had a clog in my drain which i've addressed myself before but figured I'd call in a lifeline this time. I can't say enough about Tarpy and how they've exceeded my expectations every time they've come out. Today I met Rick Kite who's a freaking stud! And i'm not saying that because we share the same first name. We dealt with the drain from hell today but it didn't phase Mr. Kite. He was relentless and made sure the problem was solved but more importantly solved right and then verified.I learned quite a bit about plumbing from Rick today and I'm extremely grateful for it.Do yourself a favor and save these guys on your phone and erase the rest. There was a spot in one of our flowerbeds that was always water-logged. Our kitchen drain line ran through that area so we suspected a leak in the drain line. Our landscaper suggested we have a plumber run a camera to check for leaks. I called two plumbers before I called Tarpy Plumbing. While I was on the phone with Paul, I described the problem and he (Paul) suggested he come out and take a look before we spend the money on running the camera (the quote he provided for running the camera was less than the other two plumbers I had called).He came out immediately (he arrived 20 minutes after our phone call!) and diagnosed the true problem in less than one minute after arriving - that the water was coming from a hot water heater drain that ran down from the attic (we knew the drain was there but had never seen water coming out of it, so didn't think that could be the problem). Sure enough, the pressure relief valve on the hot water heater was slowly leaking and water was dripping from the drain about every 30 seconds (we just never happened to be looking at it when it dripped). Paul went into the attic and fixed the relief valve at no charge! This saved us about $300!We will definitely be calling Tarpy Plumbing for all our future plumbing needs. THANK YOU, PAUL!!!!

I have a very old Spanish house just outside San Diego. There were 3 old furnaces - one was on the roof and two in the cellar. Since, the weather in Southern California is mild, I did not replace the first furnace when it went out or the second and third furnaces. I knew replacing them would be expensive and I didn't trust other San Diego heating contractors who I had come after each furnace stopped working. They couldn't replace the furnace on the roof and they didn't know how they would get the furnaces into the basement. Finally, when we had a cold winter, I decided that I had to have the furnaces replaced. As luck would have it I was talking to my plumbing contractor who was doing work on my house, and I asked him for a recommendation. He said there only was one San Diego HVAC company he knew they would be able to do the work. He had worked with them on many new house construction jobs and that Paul from Tarpy Heating & Air was a genius -The work was done in November 2013 - high quality, finished on time, clean up excellent, all the employees who worked on it were wonderful and Ron was able to identify furnaces which would work for our home. As I said it was a challenge to take down the existing furnaces from the roof and basement and to replace them.I had a routine service done Nov. 2014. There was nothing that needed to be done. I can honestly say that Tarpy Heating & Air was outstanding in all aspects. I would recommend them whole heartedly.

When we finally decided on A/C for our home in Oceanside, my wife checked references on possible installers and one of the higher rated was Tarpy Heating and Air. Although based in Santee they service a wide swath of south Southern California, so we gave them the call.We were visited by Trent, one of, if not their top installers, and were impressed right from the start. I was concerned that several heating/air installers were cautioning us to also invest in an entirely new furnace, and that air duct repair work would also be necessary. The little use we have made of our furnace over the years seemed to me not to have hardly put our furnace through much of a workout, so we didn't want to make that investment hastily.On the first visit with Trent - and before we agreed to go with Tarpy - he did a check on the furnace and checked our duct work in the attic and agreed with us that that further investment was not necessary. His thorough knowledge of what our installation would require and overall professionalism resulted in a quote for our Amana 5 ton ASX14 unit, and we came to an agreement that same day.Installation in our case came within days although some cases may differ depending upon site issues. Our installation took just short of two days and we were ready to go.We had a top-of-the-line in technology, feature-rich Amana unit attached to our 20 something furnace just that quickly. So, what could possibly go wrong, right?Here's where you separate the good from the great.Initially there were some issues with the new thermostat/older furnace activating the new A/C unit correctly, so we recontacted Trent.Trent returned immediately, did a complete re-install and checked all diagnostics, which seemed to address the issue. In short we did require a couple of revisits, but on each occasion, and at every step, I was completely reassured by Trent and by their management representative that they were fully behind this installation and would get this furnace/air conditioner odd couple on full speaking terms.Within those couple of additional visits that was the case, and now we are cool. Pun intended.Tarpy and their man Trent displayed the sort of back up support you want behind you when you experience the inevitable hiccup in such installations. My name is Heidi and I live in a house in La Mesa built in the 50's.The kitchen faucet was an old Dish Master which over time had rusted and pulled away from the backsplash. It had started to drip water and leak. Well, last Sunday, the rainiest record breaking day in May, didn't my faucet decide to give its last hurrah and start to spout water. Did I know where the water main was to shut off the water. . . of course not!So I spent a good deal of time out in the torrential rain searching until I finally found the main. So no water throughout the house, swell.Called Tarpy on Monday and explained my problem. Dane was there that afternoon and we looked at our options. He crimped my lines in the kitchen so that I could still have water access to the rest of the house. Dane arrived on Tuesday and skillfully installed a replacement faucet and a water filter for my fridge in less than 4 hours. And he picked up all the parts for me at cost. I knew a trip to Home Depot would pose hours of questions of uncertainty as to what to purchase. They made this so painless for me. . .I had really been stressed out. Dane is a true professional. . .I would definitely use Tarpy again.

Tarpy Plumbing was one of four plumbers I called when our sink and washing machine started backing up the morning of Christmas Eve. All the other San Diego plumbing companies said they could not come for several days, but Tarpy Plumbing said they would come later that afternoon. The plumber called me and said he could be there before noon - several hours before I was expecting him. Keith and his helper did the work quickly and professionally and the price was very reasonable. I was extremely pleased to have a working sink and washing machine since I had company for the holidays!

I thought that there might be something wrong with our 34 year old electric furnace but wasn't sure. It would come on just fine but wasn't as hot as we remembered. It had a bad sequencer and was running at 30% efficiency.Unlike our previous repair firm, Tarpy heating and air did not try to sell us an expensive new system or heat pump. They told us what the issue was, ordered the part and were exactly on time both days they came. If you have an older furnace and don't want to replace it, I would call them without hesitation.

We contacted Tarpys Plumbing via an email inquiry in the evening and they were quick to respond the following morning via phone and email. They were at our house within 2 days (it was a non-emergency) and their follow-up visit (with parts that required ordering) was in just 1 week. We originally contacted Tarpys because one of our toilets kept running (and making noise) for about 10 minutes after each flush. It turned out there was a small part inside that was broken, which they replaced (sorry for the lack of technical detail). They also checked our other toilets to see if there were any other issues. The most important service they helped with was checking our incoming water pressure and tankless water heater system. They discovered that our water pressure was well above the acceptable PSI, which is what likely caused the toilet issue. They also found that one of the valves in the tankless water heater was broken (likely due to the high water pressure as well). All of this was surprising given that our house is just a few years old and went through a series of inspections early on. Nonetheless, we were glad for tarpys thoroughness and professionalism because the issue could have turned in a much bigger problem.

I initially called Tarpy Plumbing and Heating because another plumber was unable to finish a bathroom and tub / shower install. Ed from Tapry came right out that morning, performed the necessary work in the bathroom and indicated that a large portion of the old pipes throughout my home had rusted out and needed to be replaced. I had seen the rust in the sections of the bathroom pipe that had been removed, so this was rather apparent. They provided me with an estimate to replace the pipes which I authorized and scheduled. They came out to do the job along with a few other minor tasks. The work was completed quickly and within the estimate provided. Ed and his partner (Keith i think) were both hard working, professional and did a great job.

I called with a last minute request and they managed to get it done in no time. I thought they may charge me an additional fee for expediting my request but they didn’t. Very reasonable price for exceptional work.

Jared fixed our a/c unit when other companies said the unit needed replacement. Happy with work and tech.

I called Tarpys Plumbing heating and air at 8am Monday morning to send someone out to find the leak. They gave me an estimated time of 11a-1pm, calling to let me know he was on his way at about noon. Todd arrived before 1pm as expected. He checked the bathrooms above and finding no obvious leaks, cut a hole in the ceiling wallboard. Sure enough the shower drain in the master bathroom directly above the wet spot was the culprit. He promptly replaced the drain, seal and piece of pipe even showing me the actual leak and the mushed up old seal. He cleaned up and was done in 1.5hrs. Very satisfied, great service, prompt and friendly.

Our house didn't come equipped with a hookup for a refrigerator ice maker. The previous owners had run a line from the RO system under the sink to the fridge. Unfortunately the line passed right under the dishwasher door, which made it only eventual that the water line would get caught by the dishwasher door. When that finally happened, we had a little leak a need of a little bit of help. Tarpy Plumbing sent out Ted who came up with a good solution: run the line under the dishwasher then back out where it would be completely clear of the dishwasher door.

After doing some minor plumbing work myself, I noticed a soaked bedroom closet opposite where I was working. I called on a Friday night and Tarpy's Plumbing sent someone out the next morning and he did a thorough search for the source of the leak. He also didn't mind all my questions or offering advice for future do-it-myself jobs. In the end, we determined the most likely cause was the water that leaked before I re-tightened the valve leaked under the base board rather than through the wall which is what I thought was happening and why I called. He was thorough in his search and professional and provided a fair cost considering the time that was spent even though no repairs were needed. We kept watch on it over night and will certainly call for any future plumbing repairs. He did fine a loss in pressure which he wasn't able to locate. We're keeping an eye on water bills and the recent problem area and will surely call them again if we notice anything.

I was a transfer customer after the company My guy heating & air closed down , and I couldn't be happier with Tarpy Heating , air & plumbing. Rafael was my service technician and he came on a maintenance check. I told him I wasn't really feeling my heating and air and confirmed only my fan was working. He was able to get my heater to work, but after doing his diagnostic, he suspected the problem was a bad breaker for my AC that i just needed to replace.Rafael also updated my thermostat as my previous one was not working and partly the cause of my issue with my unit. He did a clean install, covering the previous hole in the wall I had and also gave me wiring options on how I wanted it setup. Side note: my house is older so I didn't have a spare wire to power the thermostat.Overall very pleased with the service. He came on time, was clean , wears shoe covers and gave me tips on my equipment. I recommend signing up for there maintenance plan which they will come out twice a year for maintenance and also offer free diagnostics for members.

Brandon was very friendly and smiled always. He replaced a toilet in my main bathroom and left the place spotless. All my services from Tarpy have been excellent.

Our Tech Sam Basave was on time and even put booties on to protect my floors. He inspected our system, washed our filter, reinstalled. Measure the heat from the vents. Very knowledgeable. Explained dampers and their efficiency. We are going to call to have installed. Informed us about our yearly program expiring, I activated another year. We also scheduled for air conditioning to be checked before August. Easy, fast and satisfied. The guys were great and replaced my water pressure regulator very quickly.

Sam did a great job- was able to come early and replaced the filter, checked and cleaned the system and discussed maintenance going forward. He was really professional and helpful

Arturo & Jessie installed an existing toilet but had to repair the concrete slab, remove some of the marble flooring & set the toilet flange in cement with set screws. Then they secured the toilet to the flange & concrete floor creating a sturdy, wobble free toilet. They were quick, professional, knowledgeable & answered all my questions. I’ll definitely want these guys to return for any future plumbing projects.

Tarpy is an A-1 Business for your A/C, heating and plumbing needs. They are extremely professional and well versed in explaining their products! I called to have my water heater flushed only to find out it was 16 years old !Water heaters may last 10 years. I had no idea!Alex and Thomas were extremely thorough and installed my waterless heater in one afternoon! Additionally, I had an air purification system installed , Navient...In light of the coronavirus , I felt it would be a great investment as I have my 88-year-old mother who lives with me and is predisposed to catching it.... everyone was so conscientious about wearing masks and booties and making sure that I understood everything that the system provided !I’m anxious to take my first shower tomorrow and also less guinea pig odor in the house !Thank you Tarpy and Staff!
