My experience with Carini was excellent! Max was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and communicative from the outset. He responded promptly with a quote after our initial consultation for installing a four-zone mini-split system and didn't bug me to approve while I got other quotes. When we approved the quote, our service was scheduled promptly and completed on-time. Any questions I had were answered along the way and the installation crew did a wonderful job of getting my feedback on installation locations and other minor decisions that needed to be made while the installation was ongoing.All in all a great experience. The customer service was exceptional! Always one of the most important aspects when making a big purchase requiring a lot of install. Anthony our rep was amazing from beginning to end, very patient, honest and accommodating. He was always on time and followed through on his promises. The installers were on time, polite, efficient and clean. Compared to other companies I found Carini to be on the lower end of the cost scale, but their materials, service and support are on the high end!

Just received incredible, top-notch service from Carlos! We've had Carini create and work our HVAC+ for the last few years and I cannot say enough good things about them. Had problem with canned lighting system. The system was repaired and upgraded to a better system at a reasonable cost. The technician went to Home Depot to get the new canned lights and installed them quickly. He was very knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. I would use this service again.

We had Carini install Mini Splits in our recently remodeled home . We worked with Anthony, Ricky and Alvin. Anthony was very helpful setting up the installation. He was very personable, professional and easy to work with. Alvin and Ricky installed the Mini Splits, they were very professional and got the job done in a very timely manner. The team at Carini are great to work with their years of expires show in every aspect of their business and I highly recommend them .

I hired this business to troubleshoot my electrical vehicle charger. While he was there, I remembered that we wanted to add an outlet outside on our back patio. Without hesitation? He jumped right in an installed the outlet. He was quick, professional, and courteous. I would definitely recommend for any electrical issues.

Giuseppe was the technician that responded to my service call. He was extremely knowledgeable and I felt he was honest with his explanation and not trying to gouge me financially. He was so good that if I ever need service from Carini again I will specifically ask for him. and I was suggest if anyone else needed service from Carini they ask for Giuseppe as well. I can’t say enough about him, except that he is a good representation of the company. They could not help me with the issues that I was having but recommended what I needed.

I'm changing my review from 1 star to 4 stars after Mr. Carini called me directly to address my concern. In short, a mistake was made in the diagnosis of the water heater's issue, which lead to an overpriced quote and my 1 star review. We all make mistakes, and the effort Carini Plumbing made to make things whole reflects excellent business practice. I do appreciate Mr. Carini's sincere effort to run a trustworthy business that continually improves on their quality of service, and ensures that customers are satisfied.

Great experience with Carini Heating and Air, Carlos Esquivel was the technician who worked on my system. His friendliness and professionalism was above and beyond. He even helped me add a passcode to my Nest thermostat. Extremely happy with this company and the people who work for them.

Carini technicians installed a custom designed Heat Pump central heating/cooling system into the space once occupied by a gas heater. They used existing ductwork and did the whole job in one day. They did a great job.

Way way overpriced, and wrong diagnosis. They wanted to charge me almost the cost of a new water heater to replace a gas valve control that was under warranty. I used another service, and they replaced a simple sensor to fix it for much less. I’ll avoid them going forward.

I needed a new HVAC system for a rental condo that previously had in-floor radiant heating. The condo’s layout, high ceilings, and limited attic space made it difficult to design an HVAC system that would fit and adequately heat the place, so much so that another company I called out couldn’t even give me a bid because they had no idea how to make things work. Briton at Carini came up with two solutions at different price points and we were able to get the install scheduled very quickly. Throughout the whole process, from bid to completion of the install, Briton’s communication and responsiveness was amazing.The install team headed by Angel did great work and took care to cover furniture and clean up at the end of each day so that my tenants could stay in the unit during the multi-day install. I’d highly recommend Carini to anyone looking to get HVAC work done!

We called Carini Heating & Air to quote on installation of a HVAC system in our 80 year old home that had no existing ductwork. The project was technically very challenging (almost impossible) since our home has very limited attic space for the ductwork. Anthony came out and, not wanting to disappoint, spent several hours working on a design that would be feasible for our limited attic space. A prime concern for us was having a discreet system that did not detract from the historic nature of our home, and Anthony was very receptive to this. We ultimately decided on a ducted system in the living spaces, and low profile (recessed into the ceiling) mini splits in each of the bedrooms. Conner and his apprentice, Christian, were amazing and worked really hard on a very difficult install. We were really impressed by the quality of their work and their willingness to involve us at every stage of the project. Conner and Christian let us know when they were coming every morning, and showed up with a smile every day even though this was one of the worst attics they have ever had to work in. They were both very courteous and took great care to minimize any disruption during the work; they also took the time to clean up after every day. They even worked really late on a Friday night to make sure that we could have some heating over a cold weekend. From the time Anthony spent designing the system, to the professionalism of the install team, we believe that Carini Heating & Air went above and beyond to complete a project that other companies would have simply turned away. We highly recommend Carini Heating & Air!

We had Carini Air install a minisplit system in our home. They were punctual and professional- also great at checking in with us throughout the project to keep us informed! Chris managed the installation and we highly recommend him and his work. He was knowledgeable and helpful as we were making decisions through the process. We appreciated the follow up with John who did our estimate and we have been impressed with the customer service in making sure we are happy with the finished product!

Great experience with this company, Tom came out and replaced a broken moisture water pump on one of my two split-system AC units. He also cleaned and serviced both of my units and the outdoor power supply in a quick manner. Carini was the company that installed the system a few years ago and once again awesome experience. For my particular AC system, there's a 12 year parts warranty and because Carini did the installation they have a 12 year labor warranty that goes with it as long as they provide one maintenance appointment on the units once per year. Ultimately it came down to Tom and the knowledge he had, finding the issue within a minute and telling me what he was going to do to fix it. When he left I knew everything was back to 100%. Excellent service and commitment from everyone at Carini. Max Maschmeier, the Design Specialist, was a pleasure to work with and walked me through the pros and cons of each system I was reviewing. We replaced our gas furnace and broken AC unit all at once and replaced it with an all electric heat pump system. Very professional and the install team did a professional job.Carini won't be the lowest bid on your project but they back up their work from day 1, excellent customer service and have the longest included extended warranty in the business. The folks handling scheduling were super responsive. We got something on the books quickly. The tech arrived in the scheduled window, was super professional and informative. Helped identify some preventitive work we were able to tackle during the visit and get our AC system back up and running. 10/10 would recommend.

We hired Carini to install a multi zone ductless AC system at our house. Carlos and the HVAC team were very professional throughout the entire process. I was especially impressed by the level of detail Carlos put into the design and his thorough explanations. I felt that they were fairly priced and trustworthy -- they had lots of options for financing and didn't try to upsell. I would absolutely hire them again for future services!

I had used Carini a few years ago apx 2019 for a complete furnace and blower replacement in my attic at a previous home. They performed a quick, efficient repair at a reasonable price. Something that stood out was the sales representative Carlos who said that Carini prides themselves as much on customer service and follow up as they do the original installation/repair. He added that Mr Carini himself is local to SD and prides himself on customer service. I used Carini a second time this year 2022 recently in my new home to add a first time Central Air HVAC system in my older home. The process was smooth, the bid was fair, and the preparation was thorough. The job started and completed on time within a week. Unfortunately I was waiting on power upgrades before I could use my HVAC. Carini's portion was completed yet after my new main service panel was needed to be installed we ran into a small issue with the HVAC installation, specifically where the Condensor was located. Carini made it right quickly with minimal interruption to my electician's very lean timeline, came back to my home to relocate the unit within a couple of days. I would absolutely recommend this local company to anyone needing repair, installation of a mini split or completely new HVAC. Specially when working with Carlos (Sales) and Britan (supervisor).

The technician was highly skilled and was able to quickly identify the problem with our AC unit and solved the issue. He was able to answer all of our questions completely. We will definitely be using this service if the future if any AC problems arise.

We all make mistakes. It is what you do after that is the measure of integrity and ethics. We had a mistake, when pointed out, they owned it and corrected. It could have been ugly, but they did the right thing. I will remember this and use Carini again. Thanks again George.

Our AC went out on a Saturday during an awful hot, humid heatwave. We called half a dozen companies and Carini was the only one who could get here within 2 days. They told us save a few repair appts during those weather conditions for desperate people like us. We still had to wait for parts, but they had us up and running on Friday. Ginnethon, our technician, was great!

Carini Installed a complete HVAC system in our home. They were timely, neat, and professional. Both my wife and are happy with the service they provided. They even worked to get us a environmental refund from the City of San Diego on the cost on the job. I would recommend Carini to my family and friends.

Carini set up an appointment at the San Diego County Fair. Carlos came out and provided expertise on our 30 year old AC and furnace that needed replacing. He is an expert at all int pros and cons of replacement versus repair and provided excellent guidance as to what we needed to do. We were considering multiple AC units and Carlos indicated that one unit should suffice. In the end his recommendation saved us money. . We will use Carini again in the future. Brett and Miguel came out to do the install, and they rocked it. Super professional and very talented craftsman. We plan on using Carini again.

I had a new HVAC system installed. All their employees who came out to the house were very professional. Very happy with their service. Would recommend.

Alberto was amazing! He came out to remove my compressor so I could have a new concrete slap installed on the side of my house. He took great care to wrap/protect the refrigeration lines so that they wouldn't get damaged or dirty when the new concrete was being poured. Alberto returned a few weeks later to re-install my compressor after the new concrete slap was finished. Again, he was very careful to make sure that he didn't scratch or damage the new fresh concrete. Working with numerous contractors throughout my project, Alberto was by far the friendliest and most professional contractor out of all of them.

John came out and designed a two zone mini split A/C and heating system for me and Conner installed it in one day. Both of them were very professional and did everything as promised. I am very happy with Carini and would highly recommend this company.

I knew Carini used the best products because I researched it before calling them. What I didn’t expect was how friendly and transparent they would be. Like most such home improvement service companies nowadays, I was expecting a very annoying and aggressive sales pitch. What we got was the exact opposite. Anthony was so polite and plain speaking throughout the entire process. He worked with us to reschedule the installation several times when personal tragedy struck us and was both sympathetic and appropriate the entire time. Connor and Wyatt did such an excellent job of installing the two very sleek looking units and left the place completely spotless. I can’t say enough good things about our experience. Far more affordable than other local plumbing/HVAC businesses, and offered higher quality equipment for less than the other peoples' basic stuff. Not sure how they do it, but I'm not complaining. They were able to work with my terrible schedule, and they've been in touch since the installation to schedule checkups and inspections and just to see how everything's going. Really happy that I went with Carini.

Called Carini for an issue still under warranty. They were on it. Tom did a great job. Talked me through all my options and diagnosed the problem fast. He was on time and communicated really well. I highly recommend Carini due to the price, customer service and great technician Tom.

Carini installed an electric heat pump water heater for us. The old gas water heater had failed. Miguel and his assistant stayed late on a Friday evening to finish the job so that we would have hot water. Most important, Miguel had experience installing electric heat pump water heaters. Many contractors aren't familiar with them. We also needed electrical work done as part of the installation. Carini has their own in-house electrician who was professional and timely did the electrical work. Carini also did all the paper work for the California Energy Tech Rebate Program. We eventually got a rebate for $3,100. The program is designed to promote the switch from gas heating systems to highly efficient electric heat pump systems. Thanks Carini!

Installed 2 mini splits in my home. I got estimates from ASI, Anderson, and Carini. Carini by far was the best onsite presence. Knowledgeable and forthright, I never felt like Carlos was upselling or was talking around a complex subject. He was also the only one out of the 3 to tell me about available rebates. That made it a no-brainer. I also didn't appreciate all the followup emails and calls from ASI.Top quality work and dependable followup, without pressure.

John at Carini came out to the house and spent a considerable amount of time assessing my HVAC needs. He did a thorough evaluation and we decided one mini split unit in the master bedroom would be compatible with my current central HVAC unit. The process from start to finish was easy. The installers were professional and friendly. John made sure all my questions were answered and that I knew how to operate the unit. He also assisted me w/ the rebate paperwork. The service I received from Carini was 5 star and I would definitely recommend them to others.

I had Carini out to repair a vintage toilet that we have had problems with for years. It was a bit tricky but they were willing to send the guy out more than once to make sure it was 100% fixed. A few years ago we needed an urgent HVAC repair at a downtown condo during a heat wave and Carini was extremely fast and efficient getting it done. I will definitely continue to call them.

I love my Carini mini splits, but after over a year it seemed my air flow wasn’t as efficient. I called the company and they sent a technician to assess. After inspecting everything he said the filters just needed to be cleaned, and he showed me how to do this (simple) and it works as good as new. He also explained a few other details to keep it tip top including proper cleaning of the compressor filter as well, and cleaning of the top of the splits themselves to facilitate air flow, and a recap of how the system works. His tutorial was great. This system is quiet and works better than any other HVAC system I’ve ever experienced (I’ve lived in hot humid climates all for over 60 years) It’s the best investment I’ve made for my home.

I appreciated that in the middle of a heat wave that they were able to come out the next day. Turned out to just be a fuse to be replaced, which was a relief, but $339 ($89 for service call expected) plus $250 for 10 minutes of diagnosis and then swapping out fuse seemed very steep. No itemized charge, so don't know what the fuse cost vs the service charge.

I had a quote within a day and two days later they came for the install! In mid summer, that’s super fast! They were professional and stayed that way despite 100 degree heat! They even worked out a way to help me collect condensation water in my rain barrel! Can’t ask for better service!

We had an mini split installed in our condo. They handled the installation superb overall. The communication was excellent and they had a technician (Anthony) came out 6 months later to service the units. He was professional and courteous. I like the predictability of Carini and their willingness to stand behind their work. If they continue this level of customer service, they have us as customers for life!

Our heat pump broke, leaving our business barely operating in 80F heat. Carlos came out on a bid, but in the end repaired our system and we were back at a cool 74 in no time. Thank you for the excellent help!

I previously had heating and air conditioning installed by Carini heating and air. They got the job done! Everything was done professionally, finished in 3 days. The repair guy made most of the repairs in the drywall they had to cut and drill through in order to install it. I shopped around and got the best deal around. Thanks guys!

My original system was so old, that current state laws made a straight up replacement impossible. Carini helped to figure out what could be done easily and within a budget to meet the new efficiency standards. That included adding a return duct to increase overall airflow. The recommended size vent,however, would require ordering a special size filter. Carini swapped out the return vent for a slightly larger one at no cost allowing me to just buy filters off the shelf at home depot. I really appreciated their willingness to make that change at no cost to me since it will make proper maintenance so much easier.

Carini Heating, Air and Plumbing is a fantastic company! Jason did the estimate which included everything and was reasonably priced. He was very professional and guided me through what I needed for my home. The work was done in one day and works like a dream. It included a year of service. Carlos was super friendly, knowledgeable and did a great job on a service visit. He explained everything about the service too! I love my Carini mini split ductless system, it keeps me comfortably cool in summer a d warm in winter. I highly recommend Carini!

My system is now working well. Was a challenge because installers were not able to go over, in detail, how to operate my New system; they handed me the manuals. Due to the impact of covid and omicron they were short qualified Technician staff with wait time for parts, as well. Current office and Tech staff have been in good contact throughout my warranty repair & check.

I called Carini for a plumbing emergency and they were so great, sent someone out faster than any other company I called and saved the day! They communicate via email, phone, and text which made it easy for me to coordinate. I was out of the country when this pluming emergency happened and were great in coordinating with my friend who came to help. They took my payment over the phone and just made everything so easy.

Carini did a 5 Star job all around! I met with Carlos to do regular AC maintenance and an inspection of my attic air ducts per my request. I knew my air ducts were 30 years old and needed replacing, but I was nervous about the cost. Carlos explained everything so well and wrote up several options for me. There was no hard sell at all. He spent as much time as I needed going over the process with me.When it came to the day of installation, Carlos came with the installers to introduce them to me and get things started. That was really nice.Joe and Josh were an amazing team for all the work I had done.They were professional, personable and timely.They made sure to explain everything they were doing which made me feel comfortable. The Carini team is very good. Starting with Jason, our salesperson, to our installation team led by Haik with his helper Eddie and supported by their install manager Anthony, they were very accommodating of our requests and needs to design and install the mini split system we wanted. Good communications and excellent and neat work throughout. We’re very pleased with how well the system controlled the temperature in all areas of our house during the recent heat wave.

I just had a flood in my kitchen on a Friday morning and could not get anyone to come out and help me after 2 days, no one would come out until Monday and I was up to my toes in water. One call to Carini Plumbing fixed that Quick! I called late Saturday night and spoke to a real person!! In less than 15 minutes Miguel called me back , and offered to come out that night. Because getting parts was an issue we decided to meet up early Sunday morning on time!!! Miguel is the ultimate professional and has a fantastic personality. He got right on it , diagnosed the problem, ran over to Home Depot for parts and fixed it in record time. He even called for help with flood repair for me and they arrived within an hour. The quality of the work was impeccable and so fast, Miguel is a gem, I would call him in a minute if I ever had a plumbing problem ever again. I contacted the office Friday morning about installation a mini-split system. By 2:00 pm a rep arrived at the house after phoning 20 minutes before. He was professional and knowledgeable. His bid was on the spot and quite competitive. I accepted and he promised the installation would start Monday morning and be completed that day. As promised the crew arrived at 8 am Monday and installed 3 wall units and the pump that day. The crew was professional and cleaned up after the project. I would recommend this business to everyone.

Miguel came to conduct a complimentary plumbing inspection (not listed as one of the services above) that was included when I signed up for a one-year air conditioner maintenance agreement through Carini.Miguel did a very thorough inspection and answered all my Many questions; he was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and courteous.When I described the issue I’ve had with my shower, I was both amazed and delighted to see how quickly he identified the problem and was able to complete the repair in just one visit. I needed advice on my long term strategy of going electric. I paid a small fee for an evaluation and discussion followed by pricing options for my planning efforts. The tech was well informed of current options and understood my goal. I got what I needed and would not t hesitate to contact Carini when I am ready to put my plan into action.

Miguel showed up within about an hour after we realized there was a problem with the hot water heater and contacted Carini. He quickly assessed the issue (old hot water heater leaking) and got a new installed quickly. Great fast service.

Tom was excellent and thorough with the HVAC maintenance checking the condensers and changing the filters. He answered all my questions, came on time and was considerate.

Everything with Carini was great. The sales person, Jon, took a lot of time with us discussing options and the cost for each - and we had multiple email exchanges and he was always prompt to reply. The install was uneventful, and the guys weren't bothered by our dogs. The system is in and working great. The customer service throughout was impressive, and i know because I'm in the customer service business.

From the very beginning they were extremely responsive and were able to get someone out immediately for a quote, and then very quickly for installation. We had some issues with my HOA but Carini was instrumental in helping to support and assist in helping navigate that quickly. Highly recommend for any HVAC needs.

From my initial phone call, to the follow-up and clean-up my experience with Carini Heating, Air & Plumbing was outstanding!My situation was with a 21 year old gas furnace that would not stay lit, plus I had guests in the room. The receptionist that morning said she could have a technician out to me that afternoon.I was busy with work, and received the follow-up phone call and met the technician Carlos Esquivel at my house that afternoon. Carlos trouble-shot the existing gas unit, and found key issues (control board) being one of them. However, it was a dangerous flame roll-out condition (visible flames coming into the cabinet area) that required him to condemn the unit. They just left and I have to say, they did a great job. Had an issue at 7:30 pm on a Friday night, the young man that came out was courteous, professional and responsive. He found the issue quickly and got us back up and running. Due to the age of the house and the type of blockage, we went through the pipes with a camera, there were some recommendations made and he returned this morning (Saturday) with additional equipment and completely cleared all the septic pipes. He then walked me through everything he did and we went through the pipes with the camera again so I could see it was done completely. I can't stress enough how professional and courteous he was. It made a bad situation much more tolerable.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

This my second time using Carini for major house hold projects. I had them install custom split mini AC units and most recently had them repair a broken sewer line. Carini just finished a rather large project on my home - Installing central a/c, duct replacement and installing a mini split on our addition. All of this was completed based on the timeline Gabe promised and there were no surprises. From the initial visit, Gabe was straight forward and had an overall pleasant demeanor. Great customer service, they called me multiple times to get my air conditioner maintenance done that was complimentary . I kept cancelling the appointment due to high covid rates, and they kept calling to make new appointments. They could have easily just said it's past the complimentary service warranty, but they didn't. And we had it cancelled 3 times , over 1 year!! They just came out and did the cleaning and said we have another remaining!! Such service!

I would like to whole heartedly recommend Carini Heating and Air Conditioning based on their great work installing a new heating and air conditioning system in our house in San Diego. We got three estimates and even though Carini was a little bit higher than the lowest bidder, we were very impressed by their references, reviews and the good reputation they have. There were parts of our installation that were not exactly cookie-cutter and they came up with some creative ways to do the job. We chose a higher efficiency system with attic insulation, and the house cools off quickly and stays cool without huge utility bills. Congratulations as well to the installation crew that finished the job on schedule and kept our house clean after each day they were there.

Will definitely use Carini for any future needs. Miguel Smith is an excellent plumbing technician and a very efficient and pleasant person to work with. The main job entailed digging out and replacing the main sewer line underneath the house and then reconnecting the bathroom fixtures. Miguel and Jake Hukee worked their tails off all day long to complete the repairs as promised. Miguel also replace the house water line cutout valve that no longer worked. Day Two he returned to water jet the rest of the piping.I can't say enough about these two young men and their work ethic!

For the last several years, my wife and I thought about getting AC installed in our home. We decided to look at mini split systems because we saw a lot of them in use in the Philippines and experienced how well they worked. I scheduled a free estimate with Carini and John came out to give us a quote. He was very knowledgeable, polite, and efficient. All health precautions were taken due to COVID/19. John left his quote in a folder, and my wife and I scheduled an install. Then the second guessing started. Man that seems like a lot of money, crossed my mind. I called John and cancelled my appointment. Buyers remorse, if you will. To make my wife happy, we got a few more estimates, and the other licensed and authorized Mitsubishi dealers were thousands more. So, a month later, we decided to pull the trigger and have the mini split system installed. Today was install day. Kevin and Luis were on time, fast, and efficient. They were respectful of the home, laying down protective draping on the floor and the bed. They wore masks. Super polite and professional guys, we bought them McD's because they were hard at work. The contracted electricians were in and out in a flash. (Haha). After the install Luis gave me the walkthrough of the remote control and settings and we inspected all of the outside work. The estimator did a great job working with me to design the right system. The lead technician was very knowledgeable and experienced, and enjoyed communicating technical details. I ended up with a brand new system that really works well for me. The price was considerably less than I was quoted by my local heating and air company.

We called Carini Heating, Air and Plumbing after smelling gas coming from our Viking range. Understandably, that was a worry event given that we were dealing with a gas leak. However, Jake from Carini Heating & Air came out and immediately put us at ease with his knowledge and expertise. He was friendly, kind and professional. He was, without hesitation, down in our crawl space looking for our gas lines. He quickly located the gas lines, pulled out our Viking range to troubleshoot, and located a loose connection on our gas line, and then also helped troubleshoot to make sure the issue was fixed and located a leak inside one of the range's internal gas lines. That is a fix that will require the help of an appliance technician, but Jake did everything he needed to do to locate the problem so we can await the appliance technician to get it fixed. I cannot thank Jake and Carini Heating, Air and Plumbing enough for their attentiveness and professionalism.

The job was to add a/c, replace the heater, replace the old ducting and upgrade the thermostat. We interviewed 4 other companies. Carini's bid was competitive. The rep, Jason, was excellent. Carini got to us within a few days during the hottest days of the year, which was much appreciated.The technician replaced a fuse on our non-working outdoor HVAC unit and swapped out a capacitor he said was weak. The unit still didn't work, but he noticed that our breaker had flipped so when I turned on the breaker, the HVAC started blowing cold!Since he left the breaker has flipped one more time, so I'm not persuaded we got to the root of the issue - perhaps that was the whole problem before I even called them, who knows? But the system works now, it just sometimes throws the breaker, but I know what to do now to fix it.

We used Carini to completely replace our sewer pipes. We had been having roots in the pipes where someone would have to come out every few months to ream them out, so we decided to replace the pipes, and hope we don't have to see anyone out here for a while! Leo and crew did a very conscientious job on a difficult site (down a steep canyon), cleaned up each day and replaced plants and soil as they could. We got several estimates for the work, and Carini offered us the clearest strategy to correct our issues with the best price so we went with them. There is no noticeable difference yet of course; the proof will be in the pudding, as it remains to be seen how long we will be root-free, but we are hopeful, and thought they did a good, thorough job.

I called Carini after being turn down by several other companies as I Really needed service That Day. The friendly receptionist was able to send out a technician to assess the issue. He arrived at the START of my 2-hour window, and rapidly fixed my leaks by patching already-patched pipes . He also offered an estimate to Replace the bad pipes , which I agreed to as long as he could come back on my day off. He Trusted that I would accept and only accepted a very small deposit rather than charging for the entire repair! We he returned he again arrived within my window, replaced all the bad plumbing as agreed. He was very Clean and even took all of the old piping with him! Very professional. On time, neat. We had a pretty major project. Multiple split units in rooms and central air furnace for downstairs. The guys worked hard to minimize impact to us and the house and get us what we were needing for our lifestyle. Everything was at or better than expected.

Anthony was great! In addition to being super friendly, he fixed my heater in no time and even put all my furniture back when he was done. We hired Carini Heating and Air to install a new heating and A/C system, and replace the duct work in our 1920's home. Per Carini's recommendation, we also added blown-in insulation to our attic (which was a tax write-off at the time!). Since the upgrade, our gas and electric bill has dropped considerably - we pay upwards of $250 less per month during peak seasons. The system works beautifully - it is both extremely quiet and energy efficient. The entire install took about three days from start to finish, and we received two-years maintenance as part of our deal. When replacing our duct work they also cleaned and painted our existing air vents and registers - which was totally unexpected and gave them a new look at no additional cost. We have always been impressed with Carini and his service technicians. We highly recommended them with great confidence for new installations, service and repairs.

New water heater had over a year long history with 2 other plumbing companies and still was having problems. Carinis got the right part under warranty, their entire staff was friendly, helpful and professional. I definitely recommend them.

Carini installed and services our HCAC system. They recently expanded into plumbing. The office is easy to work with. They quickly get crews out for service or annual system checks. They keep trying when nobody else has a solution. Today Miguel worked most of the day replacing worn plumbing parts and flushing the hot water system. After getting quotes from five companies, we chose Carini Heating, Air & Plumbing for the addition of central air to our existing furnace in our 1924 home. After starting off with some mostly communication problems prior to installation, Design Specialist/Sales Manager Jake Carter took charge and ensured we had an excellent design and installation at a fair price. Technician Kevin, assisted by Luis, both worked very hard and intelligently on a hot day to install the evaporator coil in a cramped attic crawlspace. We ended up very satisfied with Carini.

I could not be more pleased with the professionalism and service I received from Carlos with Carini Heating, Air, and Plumbing! My AC unit was not working and within second of Carlos looking at the unit, he was able to diagnose the problem and have it up and running before he left. I had concerns about some ducting issues I was having so I called Carini out for a quote on new duct work. I was fully expecting to pay several thousand dollars, but I was told it wasn't necessary, and was instead given a couple of small tips that resolved the problems I was having.I'm incredibly impressed with the honesty and professionalism it took to turn down the unnecessary work I was ready to pay for. They've made a customer for life.

The service technician - Anthony - was really excellent. He explained the work carefully, went over our options in a thoughtful manner, and worked efficiently and effectively without disrupting our home routine. This was important as my wife and I were both faced with work-related deadlines that had us quite busy at home that day. I couldn't be happier with Carini Heating & Air Conditioning. From the moment I met Gabriel, I knew I wanted him to do do the work. He explained everything in detail that needed to be done. We suspected a leak due to a bad smell. We called Carini and within a short time Bowman, the sales rep, arrived. He performed a thorough examination and determined that we did, indeed, have a problem. He gave us a quote for a system that would meet our needs without trying to upsell or force us into something beyond our needs or means, which was refreshing.Jason V. and his crew arrived as scheduled the next day and started the demolition of our old furnace and air conditioner. They kept the area clean as they worked, they worked quickly, and finished the install on time as agreed. The cabinet under my kitchen sink was soaked. Water had soaked into the plywood and the sides of the cabinet were like sponges.. soaked. I figured I’d be paying lots of money to fix whatever pipe issues caused this. Jake from carinair showed up and said it was just a leaky nozzle on my sink and the water was running down thru an opening. Just needed to change the sink nozzle. I appreciate the honesty and that he didn’t try to find ways to charge me for repairs I didn’t t need 5 Stars

The technician who came to check our heating system was very professional and very friendly. He explained the problem, told us what needed to be done and helped us out. We are very pleased with the technician and the company.

Miguel was honestly incredible. We had a pin hole in one of our copper pipes. He was at the house in an hour and ready to work after we called. He was upfront and honest about what the costs would be and the level of effort required. Miguel was in and out in almost no time at all, while be personable and transparent. He was so patient in walking me through everything he was doing too. (I was being kind of a pest by asking so many questions.) His timeliness and attentiveness to both me and my wife ensured not just our comfort with what he was doing, but also our understanding. I like to know what’s going on, and he made sure of that. I cannot speak highly enough of our experience.

This was my first time using Carinin. My ac system had leaked in my attic. It had been “ repaired” before for this problem by a different company. He discovered the root cause and reangled the pipe. He also throughly explained what was going on. I also purchased a one year maintenance.m

We own an older home in Kensington which comes with the unique complications of an older home. Gabriel was our estimator and his background and knowledge of the older home construction was an asset. After crawling under the house , Gabriel provided me with photos of the current layout and and explanation of proposed work his company would complete. All work was started and completed on time including that which had to be done by subcontractors. All workers were professional and followed health and safety guidelines required by the Coronavirus pandemic . Our install was in a confined location under the house , this was not an easy job for Daniel and Saul but it did not seem to deter them . Once installation was complete they gave us a full explanation of the operation of the furnace and answered all of our questions . We could not be more pleased with the quality of furnace offered as well as the workmanship.

Had a second story master bedroom mini split installed earlier this month in a coastal neighborhood in which few homes have AC. Marcus did a great job of scoping out and explaining the job to us at the time we signed up and meeting with the installation crew the morning of the install. Rob and Cesar did a very professional install with no damage to the wallpaper and everything cleaned up and tidy. No need to worry about any too hot to sleep nights next summer! Fortunately for our install the lines which needed to run down the exterior wall are in a side yard not visible from the street and are located in somewhat of a crevice. The lines run through what can best be described as a very large gutter downspout. Appearance of the exterior lines something to keep in mind when considering a mini split system--especially to a second story.

Today I am more than happy. Jake came over to clear our slow running tub drain. The prior day another company spent 10 minutes , gave up and quoted me $1500 to cut open my wall. Jake stuck with it, got the right equipment and had it wide open in 90 minutes. I appreciate persistence and a job well done. Carini has great people.

Up front summary - I found Carini Heating and Air Conditioning to be very courteous, very professional and very expensive!I used a $69 Angie's List deal to have Carini visit my home for an Air Conditioning Tune-Up. I recommend this service as San Diego begins to reach high temperatures and increased running of AC. Carini Service Technician Anthony D. arrived on time for the scheduled appointment. Anthony immediately impressed me with his courtesy, professional knowledge and desire to educate me (the customer) on AC system operation. Anthony had a complete set of AC diagnostic tools. He quickly identified the AC system was not cooling properly due to insufficient levels of R-22 freon. This didn't surprise me as it had been a few years since freon had been added. What did surprise me was Carini's high prices quoted to fill the refrigerant: $215 for the first pound and $89 for each subsequent pound. Also surprising is that Carini only charges in full pounds. Therefore if you require 1.2 pounds you are charged for two pounds... I really do not understand this pricing policy. I approved the service as I didn't want to make another service call. Anthony added the refrigerant and now our AC unit cools much more efficiently. Kudos to Anthony D. for very professional service but some negative marks to Carini for a prohibitively expensive pricing policy.

Got a water heater and plumbing check deal off Angie's List and have zero complaints. Scheduling was prompt and easy, the tech was knowledgeable, professional, and personable, and the deal was unbeatable. I would absolutely use Carini again in the future.

Best Experience EverWe live in the San Carlos area in San Diego. We have made it without AC in our home for 35 years but, with our increasingly hotter environment, we finally made the decision to add it when we needed a new furnace. Our home was built in the late 50's and still had it's original duct work. It also has 2 additions that had no ducts at all making our HVAC project somewhat challenging. Carini HVAC was recommended to us by a realtor friend late in our getting estimates process. I was already exhausted by the process but couldn't pass on Carini after getting such rave reviews from our friend! I also researched Carini HVAC on Google, Yelp and the BBB and found only positive ratings in all regards. The Carini HVAC technician who completed our estimate, Bowen Smith, was courteous, knowledgeable and creative. He had solutions for our HVAC needs that no other local HVAC company technician had even considered. Bowen recommended central heating and air (RHEEM) for the original part of our home and wall mounted mini splits, (ductless units by Fujitsu) for the addition. The Carini proposal gave us all new ducts, more HVAC coverage and technology, electrical upgrades and efficiency for a lower cost than the other two, very well-known local companies from whom we had gotten estimates. Our installation was scheduled in a timely manner and Bowen and his crew were amazing! They were on time, respectful, hard-working and very careful with our home and yard. The electrical subcontractor, Parkllan Electric, did a fantastic job of adding dedicated lines for both systems and upgrading our existing voltage. The job was completed as scheduled and we are thrilled with the work and our new comfort level. Carini HVAC promises 100% customer satisfaction and timely customer service. We highly recommend Carini HVAC!

Oscar’s honest assessment saved me $$$I went down to the sub-basement of our home to change the a/c filter (it was due), when I noticed water all over the floor.It was coming from the air handler and I had no idea why.After a little internet sleuthing, there were several possibilities.I called one HVAC company who came out and they determined (somehow) that my coils needed to be replaced at a cost of $2800.I called Carini the same day for a 2nd estimate, and Oscar came out within a couple of hours, did some measurements on the outside unit, took a look at the air handler, and determined the condensate line was clogged.For about $280, he cleared the line with 3 CO2 canisters (after offering to have me do it myself with a shop vac, which I declined).Either the first guys were incompetent, or, more likely, ripoff artists.Glad I trusted my gut and went with a professional company that deserves the 5 star reviews it already has.

Cleared the shower drain, replaced a sink faucet, and tightened up the connection with the toilet seat. Work is still holding up fine.

I am having my first experience with Carini HVAC and I must say that if the installation project ends the way it began I would highly recommend this contractor to anyone as a first choice. They arrived promptly at 0830 as I was told and to get things kicked off both Dennis [field installation manager] and Bowen [sales and service] came and gave preliminary instructions for what should occur during the project, then left the electrician, Anthony and Tim to do the installation. Everyone was very efficient, knowledgeable, answered a billion questions about the units installation and operation, very accommodating, pleasant, friendly and professional. They vacuumed frequently as they went, covered the floors and went about their work in a very organized manner. I am recommending all of them for $50K per year increases and I will follow up with more as the job is completed but I thought I would post this review in case anyone if looking for a contractor to install their HVAC system. As promised, the techs arrived on time for the second day and just left after completing the installation and thoroughly explaining the warranty on the unit, how to clean and operate it, sweeping debris from our patio, driveway and vacuuming the areas where they worked. While standing next to the outside unit I did not realize that it was running it is so quiet. The inside units we selected are efficient to the point that we had to quickly turn them down and ultimately off because it got very cold in our home. I would highly recommend Carini to [ANYONE] in the market for an HVAC system. I also can't say enough about Dennis who came back today to check on their progress and Tim and Anthony were superb in their work. They are the epitome of professionalism and worked without constant supervision. I would hire either of them in a heart beat. Thanks very much Carini for a job very well done. This is an email I sent Carini a few weeks ago. I got no apology response back:Hi Chanron,I have been waiting since 7am for a call from your office as I had an appointment this morning. I then called at 9:26am as I hadn’t heard from your office. I spoke to Betsy and was assured that I was next in line. Still didn’t hear anything back and after waiting the whole morning, just called again at 12:05pm.As you can expect, I am now outraged because my appointment was supposed to be in the AM, and I have been waiting the whole morning pushing and rescheduling all my appointments for later and later.In the second call at 12:05pm, I speak to Betsy again and am told that I’m the second client in La Jolla they were not able to reach today because of phone network issues.I would have really appreciated if the plumber was still sent to our home, given that I had called at 9:26am checking the status of the plumber letting the office know I was waiting. Also, I believe you have my email on file, and would have really appreciated an email if your phones were having issues today.This is not the first time we are experiencing scheduling and commitment issues with Carini, as for the last shower work we had, we were rescheduled twice with your office cancelling on us last minute, on the day of the appointment. This resulted in the shower being unfixed for 3+ months.I urge your office and business to value you clients’ time more, as many times we schedule our days around your appointments and even take days off of work for your appointments, especially when we are told that you cannot give us a specific appointment time, and instead just AM or PM and the best you can do is call us 30 minutes before as the plumber is on his way.I hope you, as a business, can put yourself in the shoes of the client and understand how upsetting this is. It is now past 12:30pm and the plumber is still not here.Thanks,______The plumber ended up coming at 5:30pm that day with the wrong part that I had already emailed them about as they reassured me if I sent a picture, they would bring in the right part. Plumber apologized about the wrong part and promised he would be back the next morning 8am-10am. So he came back the next day, surprise surprise, late again.

I called Carini for our plumbing problems because they have an excellent reputation. The technician who arrived was professional timely respectful and very knowledgeable about the problems. I highly recommend Carini for any plumbing HVAC or heating problems! They are wonderful!!!

I would give this company zero stars if I could. We purchased 3 TOP QUALITY AC units and spent almost 50k. Not even within 6 months did all of them have several issues. We were promised that they would last several years. That's not even the biggest issue. They are extremely rude and there is absolutely no customer service!!! We called them THREE different times before they got us a technician. They are not cheap at all and not worth the price. They are lazy and cheat you for your money. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND YOUR MONEY!

Mixed feelings about our experience. The service was excellent - they responded promptly by phone, scheduled service, showed up as promised, and quickly completed the repair on our furnace. Now maybe my expectations are off, but the standard rate to install a $150 part was $750 - and it took 1/2 hour with no special tools required. That seems to me an outrageous hourly rate - and that's above and beyond the $90 show up at the door fee. The diagnosis was easy - I knew what was wrong and the tech confirmed it. Access to the furnace could not have been any simpler, an inside closet right by the front door - no climbing around in hard-to-reach places. I should have decided differently and just swallowed the initial fee.Response to owner...Actually yes - most people do have a very good idea what their steak will cost in the restaurant before they make a reservation. That is certainly not the case with appliance repairs - the cost is not know (not even approximately) until after the technician shows up for the appointment and gives an estimate. Sorry about the part cost difference, so it worked out to $475 for about 1/2 hour of installation work. Still an extraordinarily high hourly rate. The rest of the time was the technician driving back and forth to procure a part that he should have had on his truck in the first place. I do not expect to pay top dollar for a skilled tech to pickup a part. I am not begrudging your company a fair price. I just don't think that's how it worked out this time. If you've got fair flat rates, maybe you should post them on your website? Then I would know exactly what I'm getting into beforehand - just like a restaurant. As I said - I knew what the problem was, and the tech confirmed that diagnosis.

Buying and installing new central air conditioning system is a big investment which requires research on manufacturers and installation contractors. I got three quotes which is my rule and then started my research on Consumer Reports and the Better Business Bureau. Size matters and Consumer Reports outlined the proper selection process that includes ACCA (Air Conditioning Contractors of America ) Manual J report. The report does a heating and cooling load analysis which reviews your furnace condition, size, and rating, register and duct sizing, square footage of the home, insulation review of walls and ceilings, along with windows and exterior doors review. I didn't get a hard copy report from the first 3 contractors even though they all impressed me as being technically competent. Each contractor quoted a different size unit and pricing varied by two thousand dollars. The largest system offered was the cheapest offer. After my review of manufacturers and the BBB (Better Business Bureau) on contractors, I obtained three more quotations primarily for manufacturer quality and reliability reasons from different contractors. Only one contractor gave me a hard copy report of their Manual J report along with the heating and cooling load analysis which determines the correct sizing of the AC coil and condenser. After my review, I selected Carini Heating and Air Conditioning. They were the one contractor who gave me hard copies of their report and analysis. They offered a system that matched my furnace manufacturer and they were competitively priced (not the cheapest). Based on Consumer Reports reviews of manufacturers, my system selected Rheem was rated high in quality and reliability by actual consumer reviews over a five year period. The day came for installation and Gabriel Carini whom quoted the system showed up with the installation team Jason and Don. We reviewed the location for the condenser and routing for the refrigerant line and drain line through the attic space. The team was very thorough in the installation, cleanliness, and testing of the system. They demonstrated the operation while testing the system and ensured all our questions and concerns were addressed. My selection was based on obtaining building permits, proper sizing, quality, and reliability of the system, and the fact it matched my furnace manufacturer. I now have a one stop shop for service and parts when necessary for my furnace and air conditioning by a factory authorized dealer. Being a factory authorized dealer matters in that they will have the technical knowledge of my specific system, backing from the manufacturer, and the parts to support it. Jesse Lead and Tyler his crew member did an outstanding job installing our new natural gas furnace and ductwork. They did on site fabrication as necessary and kept right at it until completion. They were polite and neat and aimed to please. We are very satisfied.

I had three top rated heating and air conditioning contractors bid on the installation of air conditioning to my existing heating system. I wanted quite and efficient two stage ac unit that would work with the variable speed blower in the heating system. Carini was the only contractor that based their bid on a heat load calculation rather than some rules of thumb that tend to oversize the ac system. Their analysis indicated that I needed a three ton unit. The other contractors said that I needed a four or five ton unit, but the blower in the existing furnace and the ductwork would only support a three ton unit. One of the other contractors no bid the job after I said I was not going to install a new furnace and ductwork. The Other bidder said they would install a three ton unit but would not guarantee satisfaction. At this point I didn't know who was right. I then contacted my neighbors with AC and the same model home as I have. They all said that they had 3 ton units and we very satisfied. Based on their results I contracted with Carini Heating and Air Conditioning.The installation was planned for one day but actually to 2 and a half days. The installation itself was done in a day and a half but complications with integrating a 2 stage AC unit with a variable speed furnace from another manufacturer required another day to resolve. To his credit, when Jason Baer the project manager found out about the problems integrating the Bryant AC unit with a York furnace he assigned their lead service technician, Anthony DeCarolis to integrate the two units. After several hour of studying both the ac manual and the furnace manual Anthony was able to achieve the expected performance by a combination of DIP switch and jumper setting in both units and the installation of a two stage thermostat.Although I took a few days longer than planned, I am very happy with the overall performance of Carini and my new air conditioner.

Two of my toilets were leaking and had to be taken up and reinstalled. The 71-year-old flange had rusted out on one of them, and the technician replaced that. He also fixed a problem in my tank.

My A/C was down and I called Carini Heating, Air and Plumbing to come out to diagnose and fix. It turned out to be very disturbing to had paid the agreed upon flat rate of $406 (yes I agreed up front) for a replacement part which cost $27 and took 30 minutes to install. In discussion with Mr. Carini this is a must charge flat rate to meet all the overhead his company bears. Fair enough, but at the end of the day consumers want to know what they are paying for in parts and labor. After coming out a day late they were gracious enough to waive the $89 diagnosis fee. But looking at the bill I felt like they really didn't waive that fee, they found a way to get it back with their flat rate that I'm not privy to. Since I don't have vision of their flat rate pricing it just feels like $350 and hour which is a lot for any industry. They do not publicize this rate but if I had new it was around $350/hr I may have shopped around a little longer. This company has many great reviews. I would like to see them be more transparent in their billing methods so consumers know what they're paying for.

If you're in the market for a ductless mini-split system or tankless hot water heater, or just good heating, air and plumbing service then please check out Carini. On the day I called Carini to ask about a mini-split and tankless hot water heater they sent out Jason to visit my home. After his visit he gave me a quote for both items and had an installation scheduled two weeks later. Prices were reasonable but expected for a mini-split system. The installation of the mini-split took only two days, and the guys had to fight the rain San Diego had on Jan 14th and 15th. Mark and his partner did an excellent job installing the compressor and three head units. After the installation Mark showed me how to clean the filters and operate the units. The tankless hot water heater was quick, about half a day. The plumbing team also did an excellent job. All of the old equipment was taken away.I also have to give 5 stars for the equipment. The Mitsubishi mini-split system is incredible. The head units are quiet and very efficient. After each unit has the room near the desired temperature range the unit is near silent. I have to actually stand underneath the unit just to know it's working. The outside compressor unit is also very quiet. Before getting the mini-split my house's HVAC solution was a closet mounted furnace that sounded like jet aircraft planes doing maneuvers. Now my house is heated, and will be cooled in the summer, with quiet efficiency.The Noritz tankless water heater is also great. No more reheating water in a tank over and over again.So five stars for Carini's service, team of workers and products they installed.

Jason was the primary installer on our system for Carini Air in July. We called in today with a problem and Jason was out to our home within 4 hours, quickly and efficiently resolved the problem. Jason has always been professional, responsible and reliable. I would recommend Carini Heating and Air for all you HVAC needs and Jason V as an excellent representative for the company.

After many years of living with inadequate heat and no AC, we decided to replace the original heater with a new unit for both heat and AC. We had a number of contractors provide proposals, but Carini was the best----they inspected the old ductwork, discovered some leaks, and recommended a quality system. They have great techs to install the system---Nick did an excellent job for us----and best of all----the system works as it should! We're comfy warm in winter and blessedly cool in Santa Ana's. After moving into our home, we were in desperate need of a new HVAC system. We found Carini at the home show in Del Mar. We met Will and he was awesome. Will came over a few days after the home show and he built us a system that would save us money in the long run. We wanted a ductless AC system and a split system that ran independently. We only wanted to cool the areas in our home that needed cooling. If our kids weren't home, it would only cool the living room, then only the master bedroom. I wanted a variable system that was quiet and saved money. Will made it happen by bidding us a system made by Fujitsu. The price was affordable and Thousands of dollars less than all the other bids we obtained for a standard HVAC system. WE highly recommend Carini Air conditioning. See pics we posted. I started my relationship with Carini Heating and Air Conditioning about 6 - 7 years ago, actually through a recommendation from another heating and air conditioning business.My townhouse's, in Santee, ac wouldn't cool so from the recommendation, I called Carini. They sent out a tech right away. The unit needed to be replaced (it was in since 1974). With the help of Loretta - she financially guided me through the options, and scheduled the process. I couldn't be home because of work, but we were able to get it so that when I arrived home it was completed (I'm sure that isn't always possible). What was nice was the price was way below what my fellow HOA neighbors had paid. My son also had a townhouse in HOT Santee. After my experience he decided to replaced his heater, air conditioner, and had new ducts installed as well. The service techs were/are always courteous and wear their booties into the home area.Well, now, my son sold his townhouse and my townhouse is being rented (still being serviced bi-annually by Carini). We recently bought a house in El Cajon and yes, I had them install a new air conditioner, heater, ducts and - for more efficiency and comfort - a couple more vents (they were recommended and have made a great positive difference). With Doug's help in scheduling and Bowden's work, I also had a solar fan put in the attic plus a wall ac (yes, wall not window) removed. The installers were great at cleaning up their mess, actually cleaned up where they really hadn't messed-LOL. Anthony walked me through the purchasing process (Loretta is still there though) - was even here for some of the install. Sarah, answered the phone, sweetly when I called to change my schedule or just to be reassured on something, especially when the permit process began. The inspectors conceded that Carini knew what they were doing. Doug is great at answering questions, as is Sarah, so don't hesitate to call them. Would I use Carini for a 4th location...YES!!! Will I use them again? YES!!! Do I recommend them? YES!!!

The techs, Tim and Bryan, added A/C to my existing central heating system. They were professional, knowledgeable, friendly, courteous, and hard-working, keeping me informed and explaining the process when I had questions, including a thorough walk-thru upon completion of the installation. They were attentive to the details that demonstrate quality customer service such as a thorough clean-up and care to keep any mess and disruption to a minimum. As promised by the Sales Rep, Kurt, the project took two days. The techs came prepared with the parts, equipment and tools needed. Kurt was on-site at the start and followed up on the second day by phone, checking the progress of the project and handling my question about scheduling the QC and a subsequent drywall appointment. We recently purchased an older home in the Kensington area and shortly after we moved in, discovered a strong odor coming from under the house.We called Carini Plumbing and they sent out one of their plumbers the same day. After some analysis with a video sewer camera and some crawling around under the house, he was able to find and repair the problem quickly and at what we believe was a very reasonable cost. The duct work in our 1928 Kensington home was destroyed by age and rodents long before we bought the place. We could get heat only in the master bedroom (or under the house!) We lived with it like that, paying thru the nose in the winters, until I could take it no more! I found out about Carini through one of my neighbors. I had Gabriel Carini come over and look at the mess and he assured my he could make it all like new. He had some good ideas and seemed eager to do the job, so I hired Carini. I was not disappointed! The crew showed up in the morning and worked for 10 hours, replacing all of our duct work, until the job was finished and my basement was clean. Now we have soothing heat in every room and wonderfully cool air everywhere when we run the a/c! It's kind of like having a new house! These guys are pros.

I needed the services of a commercial AC- Heating firm twice in the last month and I couldnt be happier to have chossen Carini Heating and Air.Scheduling, pricing and follwo up were as good as it gets. When the technician showed up and found no one on the job site he called my cell. I was 20 minutes away and when I finally got there, Rowen was as cheerful as could be, no drama, no complaining. He got up on the roof , found out it was something simple, complete the repair, collected the minimum service call fee and that was that.This last week Dan came to my office to do a sight inspection on a rooftop unit for an office that we are looking to move into. He was pleaseant, clean, professional. The inspection was quick, again, no drama, he confirmed everythign was opperational, pointed out potential concerns but no over sell. As a costumer that has purchased several units from this company I expected better service when emergency services are needed. Our fairly new AC unit (about 1 year old) suddenly stopped working on Sat 08/26. When we called Carini for services they couldn't help in a reasonable time. We live in Poway. The current weather forecast is 95-97 degrees for the next week, which means our house gets even hotter. Carini could not schedule an appointment until August 30th. Our unit is still under warranty. When we asked if we could call someone else for service or if they could recommend someone who works during the weekend their reply was that they couldn't recommend anyone and our unit would not be covered if another company had to fix the unit. We have three kids, one of them is a one year old. Having to wait three days under the current weather conditions is unnacceptable. In fact, we believe AC issues are considered an emergency under very hot weather conditions like the ones we experience in Poway. So, for those of you considering Corini and you live in an area like Poway, keep in mind they would not be able to fix your AC in a reasonable time frame.

Jake did an amazing job replacing a mess of hot and cold water pipes under our house. We had severe water pressure issues, which he fixed. He was very clear about what he was doing each step of the way, and we always knew when we would not have water.

Austin and Anthony are the best in the business. They guided me through the process and all of the options for a central air upgrade. They helped me fix some of the issues from the original AC set up from the builder. The install went perfectly and couldn’t be happier.

Right when the stay-at-home order was announced we had an emergency leak in the kitchen with water everywhere. The technician came and took charge of the situation. We still had to do restoration, but without his quick, decisive action it could have been a whole lot worse.

Had to get an HVAC unit installed in a rental unit ASAP. I called them Monday, they came out on Tuesday, and they completed the install on Thursday. Couldn’t have been easier to work with! Great crew!

Highly recommend Carini's for their efficient work and mainly, their honesty. I had 3 HVAC companies look at my 19 year old HVAC system, which had stopped working, and each told me it was beyond repair, and would cost apprx. $12,000 to replace. I called Carini's to get an estimate to replace it, and when he looked at it, he asked if we would rather just fix it. I was shocked. He said he wouldn't be able to sleep at night if he sold me something I didn't need. 1 hour and $350 later, it works perfectly. Thank you Anthony at Carini's!

2am Saturday night and the water heater sprung a leak. Needed emergency service so started desperately calling around. Only 1 emergency service responded to me, called to tell me someone would be there within an hour and handled the problem. That was Carini. Their guys were very nice and 100% professional. Thank you!

Had a main water pipe break on my house. Was told by the phone operator I would receive a free estimate. After technician came out and looked at everything he told me he was going to come back with an estimate and that he just had to run to his truck. After sitting around for more than an hour for him to come back with my “free estimate” he finally returned after I called him and asked if he was even still around. He then came back with a quote of 15000 dollars. And I feel he gave me this quote because earlier he asked what I did for work and I informed him that I was in the Navy. To which his response was, “Oh so you got money”. Then when I said I could not possibly pay for that he told me I had to pay a 100 dollar service fee after the operator told me the estimate was free. All said and done my father drove from Northern California a 7 hour trip and he and I fixed the problem for 50 dollars. This place wasted my time and tried to rip me off.

Not super excited about our installation of a 5 Mini Split system. The technicians were a little rough on the property, broken light bulbs in the attic that were not cleaned up, the whole house fan was damaged, and sprinkler system heads were damaged. Anthony was very helpful in diagnosing and fixing a furnace problem (bad circuit board) and also gave me some insight on another (unrelated) furnace issue.The second issue had to do w/ an odd smell that would occur when the upstairs furnace was activated. I couldn't trace where it was coming from (the vents were clean, filters clean, furnace itself was clean, and the smell didn't seem to originate within the ducting).Anyway, Anthony pointed out there is a drain line connected to a bathroom sink and it turns out the smell was originating from a dirty drain plug within the sink drain. Once I disconnected the furnace/AC drain line from the sink, the smell went away. I'm also replacing the drain and will reconnect the furnace line to make sure it truly resolved the issue.Thank you!

A tough job as the crawl space is only 2' or so, but the
cost was astronomical - more than $3500/day for ONE

Got the job done. Expensive. They offer only a 3 or 4 hour window for when they will arrive. 8AM to Noon, or Noon to 4pm, is no good at all if you happen to work 8 to 5.

I reached out to Carini after being notified of major gas leak in the crawl space of our home. SDGE had turned off the gas already, but Carini went out of their way to get someone out to us ASAP.AJ was able to get to our house by 8am, and quickly diagnosed the problem. After giving us our options, we opted to take the quote and attempt to go through our home warranty company...this was a mistake!After several days of back and forth with the warranty company, incorrectly filed service requests on their end, and an appointment with an appointed plumber who went radio silent after their 10 minute visit, I ended up deciding to go out of pocket. AJ and Carini were checking in with me periodically to make sure that I was being taken care of by the warranty, so it was a no brainer to give them business.AJ was back out to the house after rearanging his schedule, and had our leaking plumbing replaced, and gas lines rerouted. He verified that we were leak free, and went about setting up the appointments for city inspection and SDGE service reactivation.I can't thank AJ and the team at Carini enough for the care exhibited for our home and family!
