I recently needed an emergency repair for a leaky faucet and put out an online broadcast request for service. 1-800 Plumber + Air was the first to respond, via text and email, with a personalized outreach message and number to call for service. Their communications were better than any other responder. They sent DALTON & DAVID right away. The two men were polite and very competent, doing the repair in hardly any time at all. I was impressed.

Also, for a long time I had needed to replace my 20+-year-old water heater and had been delaying doing it. I did not know any plumber I felt I could trust. The 1-800 truck had a $100 off note on it, so I inquired when David and Dalton did the faucet repair about their also helping with that. We made a plan. They helped me figure what to buy at Home Depot for delivery, and they came by today for the install.

Again, these two men were highly skilled, respectful, and helped me understand all aspects of their work, company policies, etc.

If you need any plumbing done--emergency repairs or a big job that is planned, hire this team! They could not have given better service, and now I will be loyal to this company. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

We have been customers of Newcomb for over 10 years, at a time when they were not as well known, or actively advertising as they are now. Each year we have loyally purchased service contracts with them to have them maintain our units and avoid issues. Last year we needed two new units, and after shopping around, decided to stay with Newcomb for the new purchase and installation, even though they were not the best price. We had been happy with their service and thought that loyalty was more important than just price. Now we are having an issue with the thermastat on one of the units which is just one month out of warranty, and we have found that loyalty does not run both ways. They indicated they would charge us a $98.00 service fee (that's with the service contract, I can't imagine what it would be without) just to look at the thermastat and determine the problem. Don't be fooled folks, business is business and once a company gets large and doesn't need yours anymore there are no extensions or courtesies, even for the long time customer. Shop for price and don't expect any leeway, loyalty, or old school service. It doesn't exist at Newcomb.

I called Keith about an estimate for a new water heater and since he was in the area, he was able to drop by the same day. He got back to me the next day with a price and once I was ready to have the work done, he was able to get me scheduled very quickly.

On the scheduled work day, they arrived on time and ready to go and did a great job with the installation of the unit. Both Keith and his son were friendly and answered any questions I had for them. They left the work area clean and followed up a few days later to see if everything was working as expected.

I will definitely use them again for any plumbing issues that I have.

Great service! They were very flexible in working with me to get a time in the evening in which a technician could come out. I was going to reschedule since the first technician was on his way and I would not be home in time; however the dispatch worked with me to get another tech out so that I would not have to reschedule. The tech that came out was very nice and great at answering all my questions.

Anthony was asked to come to our property for an annual back flow testing. He claimed some parts were broken in our assembly and that we needed to replace the entire thing. We told him that we decided not to do it, but he came back a few days later on his own and tried to perform repairs, where we had to remind him that we didn’t ask for that. Somehow we were still charged a diagnostic fee for the second time even though we asked them not to come back.

We ended up calling Bizzy Bee and they did the back flow testing for us….and that they found no broken parts at all.

I was extremely disappointed because Anthony came and did good work in our home prior to this (installed a kitchen faucet). I have no idea how anyone can just assume they can come back to someone’s property without permission after being told that we didn’t want any work done (in addition to lying about broken assemblies).

Had them come out to a rental property for a bathroom leak. After cutting a hole in the wall, was told to put a towel down to solve the bathroom leak. The bill was $300, with no prior estimate given. Did not resolve issue, and hired a general handyman who discovered it was a leaky handle. Paid $300 for unresolved issue. Recommend alternative options.

Rick has done over a dozen jobs for us, we are very pleased with Handiricks service. He does a beautiful job in whatever project we give him and trust him to do a good job at a fair price. He always goes above and beyond what we expect. We will continue to use him.
