I have work with this company for a long time, most recently at Stonesthrow apartments. I have found them to be prompt and precise with fair pricing. They are very knowledgeable and do a great job of explaining HVAC work in layman's terms. I will continue to work with them into the future

I have mixed reviews. Following the installation of a new HVAC unit, and 3 visits by different technicians, the system was inoperable - did not work. Finally, on the 4th visit, Eric rewired the unit and got it working! Many thanks Eric. Good job!

SCAM ARTISTS DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! They installed an HVAC system on my property, said they would pull permits, added thousands to put it up to code and (1) They DID NOT PULL PERMIT! so now I have an un-permitted HVAC system, (2) an un-permitted HVAC system will not be covered by the manufacturer's warranty, and (3) the $2,000 they charged me on top of the cost of the system to bring it up to code was FALSE - they made it up to take another $2,000 from me. They saw a middle aged, kind woman and thought they could scam her - well guess what? I am an attorney and I will NOT let you get away this!! This is criminal, fraudulent activity and negligence as well since you have installed something that I CANNOT have inspected! DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY.

David and Terrence at Mandolin have gotten me out of alot of tough scrapes. Always professional and willing to work me in their schedule if there are slots available when emergencies arise. They are my go-to contractors for everything HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical. I do not use anyone else.

Mandolin was stellar in stopping by my place and servicing my A.C. They made sure everything was working well and even took the time to clean any debris around the A.C. unit. My A.C. has been working perfectly over this hot summer. Thank you, Mandolin, for greet service!

Mandolin HVAC & Construction is excellent company that provides exceptional customer customer service. All the technicians that came to service my cooling system were very professional. They were also very resourceful in finding me an affordable AC system. I highly recommend Mandolin HVAC & Construction for any heating and cooling needs!

I am giving this one star review because I believe this company is ripping my apartment complex off and my family is suffering because of it. My AC has been on and off working all summer and apparently it is something that the regular maintenance staff can not fix so they have to call Mandolin to service my unit. They have been to my apartment three times or four times at this point I'm losing count. Each time 1 to 2 guys come in look at the unit inside then just walk out or say they are going to look at the outside unit. Hours go by and no one comes back and I'm still sitting here with no fix, no answers as to what's wrong with it, and no reasons why the team up and leaves with no word or no return time. To me that's is very unprofessional and I know for a fact they would not do this to a home owner. So if y'all could kindly get back to Triangle Place Apartments and come fix my unit that would be great and I would gladly turn this one star into a 5 thank you.

I am a general contractor. Mandolin HVAC and Construction has done all of my HVAC work for the past three years. They are prompt, they provide good quality and their prices are reasonable. Whenever there was an issue, the returned my calls and corrected the issue promptly. I would recommend them for all your HVAC and construction needs.

Aside from the circumstances working with Mandolin was a breeze. The office staff, Tori, was so helpful in the process dealing with my warranty company. The technician, Jason, was very friendly and efficient, highly recommend this company.

Dangerous driver

Great company did great work

Used them to install a faucet and connect new plumbing pipes from sink to the wall. Almost $800!!!! First off even though this business is 5 miles from my house, I get charged an hour for their tech to drive to my house. Even accounting for an hour to run to Lowes for parts, a skilled plumber took 3 hours to connect a faucet and piping!!!! Total man hours charged was 5 hours. No next time here with this company and my goal was not to spend 5 hours doing it myself. Live and learn on getting firm quotes up front!

I wish I could give this company 0 stars because we’ve literally been without AIR FOR ABOUT A WEEK NOW waiting on someone to still come and fix it . Everytime we call all they continue to say is we’re still on the schedule for the day but no one ever shows , the least they could do is call us and be like hey we won’t be able to come out today as scheduled but they don’t even do that . I would not recommend this company to anyone please save your money

Thorough and affordable!

Called numerous HVAC companies and dryer vent cleaners to learn few are interested in long term fix for old sagging (full of pet hair and lint) run of dryer vent through our crawl space.
Mandolin stepped up. After providing a reasonable quote, they quickly replaced it with heavy gauge, straight vents.
AND they investigated and replaced the unseen disconnected sections in the wall. Our dryer works 2x as fast now and the repair saved our walls and crawl space from more damaging humidity. Great Service!

Thank you Mandolin for taking care of my hvac replacement and duct work! I contacted Mandolin to talk about what I had going on. I received up front information and top notch service by sales and the installers today. These guys worked at my house all day long with positive, respectful attitudes. I’m so thankful for these guys and their skill. They will be my go to for all future HVAC work! I highly recommend Mandolin!

I do not recommend this company. The admin staff is helpful and friendly, but the contractors are unreliable. We’ve had 3 missed appointments this week with no follow-up or even calling to advise that there’s been a change of plan or a delay. It always falls to me to follow up, to the surprise of the office staff (no oversight or quality control). We’re halfway through a project so I’m unfortunately stuck with them as a contractor.

Madolin was very attentive and helpful and was able to fix the issues in a timely manner. The technicians were professional and knowledgeable. I would definitely use them again.

First off, great communication! I didn’t have to follow up for installation time/day even when they changed due to a material delay out of their control. We had our full HVAC system replaced. The contractors performing the work were courteous and clean. Pricing was very reasonable. Would highly recommend and use again!

The girl I spoke with in the office (Tory) made the complicated process dealing with the warranty company not so complicated for us! She was very knowledgeable and accurate and made our experience stress free. I strongly recommend Mandolin!

Mandolin HVAC has been a great vendor for my sites. They are reliable and honest and don't just tell you what you want to hear to win a job. They have bent over backwards to go WAY outside of their normal service area to assist me with system replacements when other contractors failed. I would highly recommend Mandolin for any HVAC needs!

Although our warranty company contracted with Mandolin, it was Mandolin who kept us updated on repair and part needed and they got our furnace up and running ASAP.
Dispatchers, techs and owner's Mom (who returned my after-hours call) were all so nice but professional.

I was very impressed with the courtesy and professionalism of Mandolin HVAC and Plumbing. From my initial contact with office staff to the final assessment/recommendation made by my technician Alexis, it was clear this business values their customer contact. I am a senior citizen and they listened and responded kindly to the frustrations of having a failed AC system. Not only was the issue resolved,, I felt my concern was their highest priority. I would highly recommend Mandolin to anyone. You cannot beat the service! 😀

One of your employees drove through my neighborhood going 25 miles an hour over speed limit endangering pedestrians lives in a company vehicle. If your employees give this little concern for the communities they work in, I can only imagine how poor of a job they do serving these communities.

I would most definitely recommend Mandolin HVAC & Construction to my friends, family and business associates. I have had experience with many associates in the company and have been treated with nothing but top customer service and great satisfaction with the work they have done.

Could I give them a 0 star? Because I would. I am not sure how they have 5 star rating. My experience from today:

I have signed up with Duke energy HVAC repair. My HVAC goes Out and not heating up the house and I call the Duke Energy repair line who hook me up with this company.

1. The tech comes in, checks the unit and states that he does not know the unit and has never seen it before and it is a new one (It is a 4 year old unit so has been in market since at least 4 years).

2. He diagnoses the issue being a condensate line drainage, which is not covered by Duke and I was willing to pay as it is a non-covered issue. Now, if I paid him cash up front, he would charge me $50 flat, however if I wanted a receipt and was paying by card, it would be $85+ tax, for which I paid 91 bucks. He basically told me that he didnt have any of the tools that he needed to clear out the drainage and had to go to grab tools needed and then come back. He was unprepared for something basic such as drain clearance.

3. He calls the number on his phone for the payment process and provides all of my card information to the person on the other end. I received email invoice and also within 15 minutes of payment a fraud alert from my card company about somebody trying to pay for train ticket in Berlin Germany ($264). Now if they are not related, then it is not their fault, however if anything shady going on, this needs to be investigated in case the system is hacked.

4. He clears the drain pipe and leaves. Within 30 minutes, the HVAC unit goes out and when I call the tech, he says that it is because of bad pump (why wasnt it diagnosed in the first place?) He tells me that they will replace the Pump and that would be covered by the $91 that I paid.
Mind you, the unit is 4 years old, the pump has 5 year warranty.

5. I get a phone call from someone claiming to be from the same company, who now stated that they have the pump with them but they will charge $235 to replace it and he flatout stated that the pump only has 1 year warranty. However, I had already called the pump company and confirmed that the warranty was for 5 years.

Well, I went back to my original HVAC repair people Enviro-NC , Environmental Heating & Air of NC who are unfortunately not part of Duke Energy program. I have reported the fraud on my card to chase and I will be disputing the $91 that I paid as well.

Even if I have to move to a hotel because of the heat loss during freezing winter or broken system in scalding heat, I will NOT use these shady people ever again.

Mr Alex was very professional and courteous. I have been living here for over 13 years and he is the first maintenance gentleman that informed me of the air conditioning unit under the house. I can really tell a difference in the unit’s performance. Thank you so very much.

Between the girl that answers the phone and the owners absolute lack of professionalism, I'd say this place needs to go under.

This outfit came out well after dark on a friday night. I have severe medical complications and come hell or high water they promised to get my a/c right. They just finished, and it is 10:44pm!!!!!Mandolin HVAC is all the way, squared away. Thank you Mandolin, thank you.

Cleaned out a main drain

Great service, very professional.

In a traffic jam on I-40, one of their service trucks flew past me and hundreds of other patient humans while driving at a reckless speed, traveling on the shoulder of the road and therefore inhibiting emergency vehicles from reaching the scene of the accident. Shameful.

The installation team-based great ,They left the inside totally exposed I don't think this would pass inspection A team member can back on the next business day and covered the exposed space

The air stopped blowing cold in the office and the Mandolin team was there the next day with a fast diagnosis and repair that got us cool again. I highly recommend them!

If I could give more stars I would, my ac stopped working and a tech came out diagnosed the problem and had the problem taken care of within hours. The staff is super professional super efficient super informative because I ask a lot of questions. Amazing work I now have them on speed dial!!

I recently had to use Mandolin because they were assigned from my warranty company. The technician Travis that they sent out was knowledgeable and professional, and Tori in the office was very friendly and sympathetic to the situation we were dealing with. I would highly recommend Mandolin for all air conditioning needs!

Very good with their work, PLUMBING ESPECIALLY. They make sure to explain in detail to the customer about what's wrong with whatever it is that's damaged or not working and then explain what needs to be done....
And it gets done (if it can be done that day). I personally trust Mandolin HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical just because I've seen what they've done. Well plumbing wise (water heaters included)👍.

I did have these people to switch my water pump since July 22,2020 it is August 20th when I’m writing this review it is not fixed when they said it is going to be fixed it took one more week for them to fix it, if they are willing to do it they been payed since day one they said we will be there at margin of time they NEVER come on time.. I’m so sad when I think theres companies like this they don’t care about doing the job right they just go for the money

After several companies tried to up sell me on what I needed for my new HVAC Unit Mandolin came in and quoted me a quality unit at a great cost. I would also give the Installation crew a 10/10 as the quality of the install was excellent. If you are in need of a new unit for a price you can actually afford call Mandolin.

Mandolin has come out twice to look at my HVAC- once for heating and once for cooling. The tech both times was Travis and he was so friendly and efficient. Got me back up and running very quickly and I am so grateful for the excellent service!

A technician named Eric came by after our heat stopped working for good (ongoing issue). He was friendly, professional, and diagnosed/fixed my issue right away. I’d like to mention I have had 4 previous visits from other contractors to fix this very issue to no avail. Thank you. (I have probably left 2 reviews for anything in my life)

Poor quality.

After many attempts to fix my AC ,Mandolin Services were called. Within 10 minutes Eric saw that the compressor was out. (How do you miss that?)Erick ordered the part and came back within a speedy amount of time and fixed it. Eric was very professional and friendly.

Mandolin has great team members both inside the office and out in the field.

The company starts off well on responding to your request and everything stops at that point. Been out of hot water for a week and still no update from there office on repairs even told a supervisor would call me and update on returning to repair.. that was 4 days ago and still no update or response.
Not sure how they stay in business , got another company out completed the work in 1 day .. thanks for nothing
