Best Water Heater Repair in Portland OR

Joe called me a liar and told me I was clueless, all within 5 minutes of reaching out to him for help! Really difficult to work with, could probably do with a sales person as his attitude is pretty poor.

I sent him 6 photos of the water heater, which is located in a closet making it difficult to photograph well. I attempted to speak with him on the phone to clear up the issues, and he doubled down on his accusations. It is certainly a unique approach to customer service!

I called another plumber afterwards who were at my place in 30 minutes. Don't waste your time here.

Horrible job doing the repipe. Very expensive and left a huge mess under the house and said they would take the old away. They did not. Had another plumber come out and he thought I had done it. Completely unhappy with this disaster of a job after spending $8000. The piping is just thrown under there with shortcuts everywhere instead of making it look nice. Realized this horrible work after I crawled under the house. They must’ve thought they could leave this disaster thinking I’d never see it. I am very easy to please this is literally the first bad review I’ve ever left anyone.

Can't recommend them highly enough. We've been using Sutherland for years. They've done everything for us from fix a leaking graywater pipe in the crawlspace, to install a new toilet and sink, to replace a leaking hose bib, to upgrade all of the turnoff valves on the sinks so we'd actually be able to use them in case of emergency. We call them every single time because they are courteous, knowledgeable, and fair with their pricing while also making sure you get the highest quality materials that won't break again in the future. I like how you can communicate with them via text before your scheduled time because they work hard to collect any necessary information IN ADVANCE of the visit, so they don't show up without the parts they need. Called them because my pipes froze and when I went under the house to unfreeze them I realized one was leaking. I wanted to get the pipe replaced. They did show up same day which was nice but basically told me there was nothing they could do (not really sure why) and it would either be $250 for him to just show up and do nothing, or another $150 for him to go in the crawl space and look at it. I didn't want to pay $250 for him to show up and leave so I went in the crawl space with him and pointed out where I knew it was leaking from, since this was hours since I'd defrosted it it was refrozen and not leaking, he took some pictures and left. Cost me almost $400, didn't offer to fix anything, just said he'd get me a quote next week about replumbing the whole house. Today the pipes unfroze and suprise its still broken in the exact spot I showed him. Now its gushing water and I had to shut off water to the whole house. Out $$ and still have the exact problem I called about. They're closed today so can't even get ahold of them to get them back out to fix the original problem. Feel ripped off.

They charged me exactly what they said they would and had phenomenal customer service. I’d highly recommend them if you’re in the market for septic system services. You definitely won’t be disappointed.

These guys came in and fixed my plumbing needs effectively and efficiently without unneeded add ons. Provided tips on outside drainage too. Recommended.

We had an issue with our gutter drain field. Even though gutters had been cleaned, they were not draining. Smitty's workers came over and dug up the area. Found the pipe connected, a new drain pipe and a pop-up. This looks like it will take care of the problem. They did good work and were reasonably priced. They put things back as they found them. I would recommend using them for your drain & sewer needs. Kyla
