tl:dr - Joe Water Heater is an amazing local, small-business owner that is personable, informative and provides unparalleled service at a fair price.

Longer version: I'm not big on writing online reviews, but every once in a while a business comes along that just blows everything else out of the water (pun intended). For me, Joe Water Heater LLC was that company. He is smart, personable, punctual and kept me informed throughout the entire process of replacing my water heater (and even gave tips and what to watch out for post-install and how to handle it). Prior to Joe, I called multiple companies to try to get an estimate to replace a 15 year old water heater - most wanted to charge to send a plumber out to do an estimate, then had unreasonable wait times, etc... it was a headache just trying to get a quote. I contacted Joe, he asked me to text him a couple of pictures and within an hour or so I had 3 different quotes. I selected the one I wanted, and Joe came out the next morning and installed it. Though, that almost doesn't give it justice - I'd been upfront and told Joe the water heater was in a basement (some companies charge an automatic extra fee for that), Joe said he'd done hundreds of installs in older homes with cramped stairwells like mine, and that as long as he could maneuver it in and out, it shouldn't be a problem. And sure enough, he pumped the old water heater empty, hauled it away, and installed the new water heater easy-peasy. On top of that there were some issues with the connection to the existing plumbing, and Joe took care of it at no extra charge (he said he felt bad cause he should have let me know ahead of time that there could be problems with some of the old pipe-work and wouldn't take a dime for it). I honestly can't say enough good things about my experience with Joe Water Heater LLC - It was painless from start to finish, Joe was informative, punctual, very knowledgeable, and not interested in nickel-and-dime-ing me along the way. If I ever need to replace another water heater, Joe will hands down be the ONLY call I make.

I had a water heater go out unexpectedly and called Sutherland at the suggestion of a colleague. Ti called me back within a few hours (even though I was told I'd have to wait till the next day) and was at the house the next morning. He and his partner worked all day to get my old heater removed, the abysmal plumbing done by the previous contractor taken out and replaced, and everything reinstalled and up to code and looking good. When I went down there the next day in the daylight to lock up I found they even cleaned all the leaves and debris off my lower deck on their own initiative. I know who to call for my next plumbing job.

Great technician got things repaired quickly and didn't mind looking at a leaky valve when he easily fixed. If you need a good plumbing service call these guys and ask for Tyrone.

Rob and his son were extremely professional and responsive. We had a challenging (in my opinion) problem where we were losing water somewhere between the house and water meter. Rob came out immediately and started work shortly after that and was there for 3 days until it was done. Even after some unexpected things happened, he came up with solutions and left everything looking better than it did before. Rob is a cool dude and a good human. There is no question that this is the guy you go with.

I had been dreading my sewer repair since I purchased the house. Mario made the whole thing seamless. My life wasn’t disrupted. He was on time, professional, kept the area tidy, communicated well, worked hard, and was cost effective. The repair was done quickly and I sort of wondered why I had been so dramatic. But I thought sewers were dramatic??

Over the last forty years, I have used Standard Plumbing for all my plumbing requirements. They have replaced water heaters, installed toilets with handicap capabilities, did all the plumbing for my remodeled kitchen. In the kitchen , they installed an Instahot, a garbage disposal, plumbed the dishwasher and brought in water for the refrigerator ice maker and filtered water. When we prepared my in-laws old house for sale they replaced the toilets and did a very difficult replacement of a water heater installed in a small space in one of the bathrooms. They have helped me over the phone a number of times to solve problems that, they determined, I would be able to take care of myself. In our two bathroom remodel George replaced all of the plumbing. He found and repaired a mystery leak that had been slowly dripping for years. He replaced all of the tub and shower valves, the toilets and associated installation plumbing, and all of the faucets and sink plumbing. He also fixed an additional shower that had dripped for years because the valve was shot.
George's communication is top notch. We always knew when to expect him and he always showed up when he said he would. He was incredibly respectful of our home offices and didn't interfere with our workday. His work is done correctly, the first time, every time. It was truly a pleasure every time he showed up. He's the only subcontractor on this project that I can say all of this about. I will definitely call GLS for future plumbing needs.
