Always fast, courteous service!

Portland Star Plumbing was easy to work with, prompt, and very professional. They fixed a long-standing problem (incorrectly plumbed utility sink). Both service technicians observed COVID guidelines and cleaned up after themselves. We we’re very pleased, and will be hiring them to do a big job—all the plumbing for a new, above-garage apartment—this spring!

Horrible, over-priced, extremely rude customer service!
I hired a plumber to re-connect all our under sink pipes, after we removed the sink to re-do our counters. The technician (William) was extremely rude the entire time he was in my home. When I noticed the water to the dishwasher and the water filter wasn't working, he told me he had connected the pipes he was supposed to and that turning on the water wasn't part of his job. After he connected everything, one of the pipes was leaking (which I don't believe it was previously) instead of admitting error in the reconnection process, he decided I needed a new pipe, which he promptly charged me an additional $99 for (it took him 5 minutes max to install) The price turned out to be by the job, rather than the hour (like all the other plumbers I called) Where most plumbers were $85/hr and the job took 1.5hrs, I paid $337 total (the equivalent of nearly 4 hours! It would have been one thing to be overcharged, but to be treated so rudely in my own home was totally unprofessional and unnecessary!

The office staff fit us into their schedule efficiently when an opening came up, communicated clearly, showed up on time, did the work on the spot for a fair price. It was a good experience all around.

Green Box was very easy to work with and about $600 cheaper than the other quote I received. The electricians Jeremy and Nick were great to work with and explained everything they were doing every step of the way. Would highly recommend and do business with them again!

Erin has been out a couple of times now and we really enjoy having her help with our issues. She is so considerate and really works hard to determine what is wrong. She also went under our house to give us an estimate on adding a new hoDr bib outside

They seem nice, and they came over very quickly. They were prompt about returning calls and texts as well, and while I got cheaper rate quotes, their rate was largely in line with the area at $180 for a call-out.

However, despite me mentioning repeatedly to Nathan that my shower was American Standard both on the phone and in my text message, Nathan took one look and was like: Yeah, I don't know. I don't do American Standard. I opened part of it for him and showed him where it was leaking, and he was like: Yeah, you need a new part. I explained that I had already replaced these parts at the advice of another plumber and it still leaked, so could he take a look if something was wrong with the installation perhaps. He just said No, I don't know anything about American Standard, so I don't want to touch it.

He gave me a helpful recommendation of calling George Morlan, and they connected me to a company that will be here in two days, but that means another two days without a shower and we have to delay leaving on our anniversary trip on Thursday morning to let the new plumbers in. This could have been avoided if AACT Plumbing had told me they don't do American Standard when I told them over the phone AND in a text: I need an American Standard diverter fixed.

We are extremely satisfied with the workmanship and honestly of Columbia River Plumbing and Drain Services. We previously hired 2 plumbers to troubleshoot our clogged drain and the problem was never resolved. Patrick scoped the drain thoroughly and identified broken pipes further down. He also scoped the rest of the lines feeding the sewer to ensure it was clear. And, he offered a partial refund for work that was not needed. I see that this company has had some less than positive reviews, so I wanted to be sure to tell about my experience with them. They came out as a result of a service call I placed through my home warranty company. I will admit that when I saw the reviews online I was skeptical. However, I am happy to say that my experience was nothing like others have posted. The plumber arrived on time and was very courteous. At first he thought he'd have to complete my job at a later time due to needing to order some parts. But he called about an hour later, saying he found what he needed, and could come back the same day and fix the problem. He came back as stated and did the repair quickly. Both times he came to my home he wore a mask, was very nice, and listened politely to all my concerns. I have no complaints about the company at all.
