We had a break in our water main on a Saturday (heard it rushing through the pipes in our walls with no water running inside the house), had the city turn the water off the next day. Shopped around for plumbers/repairpeople on Sunday and Monday. After three quotes/visits, we went with 1900plumber because they were the most responsive, the nicest, and the most affordable. Had the work done on Wednesday in less time they said it would be done and the work was less invasive to our neighbors than we thought it may be. They did a great job and we're so glad to have the water running and the meter behaving normally!

Dylan showed up on time. Found the problem as well as another issue that I was unaware of. He explained to me what needed to be done with both jobs and provided me with an estimate. I had him complete the lesser of the 2 jobs and am waiting on a better estimate for other job. He completed the job within a timely manner and was very polite and professional. Would hire this company again.

Your technician Greg was very courteous and professional. He cleared the drain and ran into some other complications. He spent the time to explain to me all available options to ensure the best outcome and nd the most economical as well.

We had a burst pipe leading out to the exterior spigot. Plumber repaired piece of piping and replaced exterior faucet.
I wasn’t present for the job but I am not impressed with the work done.
The base trim has been cracked- and even looks vulnerable to insects with openings around the base of the spigot.

I hired this company to repair a mess another plumbing company had made with my bathroom installation. The mess was so horrendous with multiple code violations that the city wouldn’t pass the work and the original company was nowhere to be found. Gordon came to take a look and gave me a bid. I had 4 bids in all but 1-800 Plumber was more reasonable and I trusted Gordon. I’ve been burned before so I was understandably cautious, however I felt very comfortable with Gordon and Chris. Gordon completed the work and it passed final inspection with the city. The city inspector even commented that it was a good job. I hired them again for another plumbing job. I highly recommend this company.

Richard was on-time and very professional, he knew what he was doing. Took him about 10 mins to come up with a plan of attack and then presented with the quote. He took his time, did it the right way and cleared the drain with both cable and water jetting. Cost was more than a wanted to pay but, its cleared and I can now do laundry for time 5 days.

The technician was professional and on time. However, I believe that I have been way overcharged. I was charged $938.07. Beings that the amount seemed to be very high, I asked how much was for the faucet and how much for the installation and did not get an answer. After researching the price for Delta Faucets I found out that they were just around $200.00. In other words, I was charged around $700.00 for installation, and I must say that I am very disappointed.

Dylan Moore was very professional and willing to answer all of my inquiries as a 1st time homeowner of an older home (1952). The estimate for the services seemed to be honest. I had leakage from a pipe that had completely rusted and formed openings that nearly ran the length of the entire pipe that needed to be replaced. I will use them for other services.

I connected with them via HomeAdvisor. Their office responded promptly and dispatched the technician on-site for the evaluation. To my surprise, unlike other plumbers sending me outrageous price quotes, they notified me, because the subject sewer line is under city's public right-of-way, the City would do the repair if I applied. They even gave me the contact info of the City's engineer team. This saved me over $10,000. All communications were done professionally with great courtesy.

Next time if I ever have any plumber issues in the Portland OR area, they'll definitely my go-to-team!

Excellent customer service! Quick response from initial contact, to service appointment. We thought we had a hot water heater/pipe problem. Was expecting to find ways to tighten our belt and get this major expense handled...but, it was a loose valve from a dishwasher installation done months ago by another company. Just paid the minimum service call as promised. Honest, reliable, and courteous. Will keep them on file for sure.

Called customer service and was told would be sent price sheet. Have not heard back.

My repair was very simple. I had a gash on my bathroom sink drain pipe. The repair was to cut off that section with the gash, and then add ABS pipe. It was cut, glue on the new sections. Tested the running water, was draining slow, and said there may be a clogged drain. From arrival to checkout, Took less than an hour, the job itself was probably 30min, paid $395. It was a flat rate for the completion of job. The breakdown was minimal. The material was nominal. The drain cleaning will be another visit/job. Mind you there is a 75$ service charge. Imagine if that was excluded. I called another company and they provide free estimates, no service charge. For 395, I'd expect to have the drain cleaned, or at least looked at. The tech couldn't because he didn't have the tools & a special person needed to come back for it. Spoke to another contractor, and said this rate is steep. He worked with a plumber that charges 180/HR. Honestly felt ripped off and overcharged. I had an appt scheduled for them to come back for the drain cleaning & ended up canceling it. If they weren't the 1st available and if i knew it was such a simple fix, I'd definitely would not choose them.

Shawn was great! He came over on a short notice since we were about to leave for vacation and helped take care of our toilet. He was professional and helpful so we had one less thing to worry about while on vacation.

Hired through thumbtack. The company was responsive and prompt. The only reason I leave a lower rating is that the tech wore his mask below his nose and when my mom mentioned that, he said he didn’t believe in COVID. Luckily she’s vaccinated since she’s over 65, but that did cause us some concern.

The work was done well. The service men were professional. The only problem was the billing. I received an estimate, but it was only verbal, not written. When the job was complete, I was asked to sign off on the work, the estimate that I never saw, and the final bill. The plumber was not able to provide any detail of the charges on his device. He requested full payment and signature. After much discussion, the plumber reduced the final total by $200. I paid and was promised that I would receive an invoice/receipt by email. After two days, I called, was transferred around and was promised a detailed receipt. After two more days, I called again, and finally received a receipt without much detail.

The person who scheduled the visit on the phone did not disclose that their 2-hour minimum was $500. Only after the actual plumber arrived (at a minimum $75 fee) did he confirm that the job I'd requested (replacing the valve in the toilet) was a 10-minute job that others could do for far far less. The plumber himself was great and professional. But the phone people took advantage of me.

Thought I had a problem with the basement floor drain at my house. Ryan came out and was on time and professional. After a quick conversation he told me the drain was not actually clogged but had a functional mechanism to prevent sewer gas from coming into the basement. I greatly appreciated the honesty and waiver of any charge. You don’t always find service folks with such integrity. I would definitely call 1-800 Plumber and Air again!

They responded promptly for a non-emergency kitchen drain clean out, and scheduled conveniently in 2 days. Contacted me when the repair person was within 30 minutes, with a photo of who would be coming to the door.

Richard was professional, friendly, quickly assessed the problem and quoted the price. It took well over an hour and he had to run the snake a couple of times, clear into our main sewer pipe. But no additional charge and didn’t stop until the problem was solved. I would definitely use this company again.

While very polite, the $394 hour went like this:
15 min - discuss the work wanted,
10m -plumber outside talking to a friend(not on the job),
10m gathering equipment in truck,
20m - doing work then putting materials back in truck and
5m for billing;
The 'plumber was NOT able to tighten a sink faucet, fix the lift chain in the toilet tank, nor fix a leak on a bathtub. They did successfully unplug the bathroom sink.
Under the impression the estimate would include the faucet tightening and the lift chain fix, since those items are less than 10 years old and there is NOTHING special about them.
I understood the older tub was out of his capabilities.

I have issue with the hose bib spraying water into the inside wall and subfloor causing some standing water inside the house. I called 1-800-plumber after calling some other plumbing companies but did not take mall call or response, 1-800-plumber responded was able to schedule a plumber the next day. The work he did was professional, including the risk od replacing the bib where the other side of the wall is actually a kitchen cabinet. But he managed to replace it without any issues. The charge seems also reasonable (eventhought I think is tad higher than I expected) for that kind of job.

Shawn was extremely professional, honest, and did a terrific job diagnosing and resolving the issue. Would recommend again. A+ service.

Prompt, but EXPENSIVE. Charged $190 to diagnose a leak and $443 to repair.
On-site for 2.5 hours. Some of the 2.5 hours was spent at the hardware store.
Plumbings a good gig at $253 per hour.

$75 just for the plumber to show up. Wanted to charge extra to access the crawl space. Was told I would get a quote the same day and ended up getting a quote 12 days later. Would recommend a smaller local company that doesn't charge you to give you a quote.

The removal of a hot water tap was done well. The tap that was moved wasn't checked for leaks afterwards as the technician didn't turn the shut off valve on when done. I turned it on the next morning and had a flood in the kitchen. He returned the next day and fixed it. The two toilets that were running before he came still were running after he did a quick fix after getting the wrong parts at the store. I paid $441 for this. I am unhappy not because of the expense but a company shouldn't charge for NOT fixing what they were hired to do.

We had our pipes(approx. 30'-36') from the kitchen sink to the main lines replaced. The technicians were on time and very professional. We will definitely have our future plumbing issues done with 1-800-Plumber, no doubt. And, we already know we will have more work done in the future. (Very old plumbing that needs to be replaced.) It's nice to know we have a professional and reliable company we can contact from here on out. I would highly recommend this company and their services to anyone I know!

yesterday was the third time I've had this company come to my house to replace pipes. The technicians that have been sent here are absolutely wonderful guys!!! A little shout out to Michael, Richard and Dillon. We have never had any issues with this company and everything has always gone as expected. The technicians always go above and beyond. They do an excellent job cleaning after the job is performed. They're very personable guys and a pleasure to have in our home. Safety is always a priority especially, with a pandemic going on and the extra precautions that are needed to be taken. Again, I would highly recommend this company to anyone in need of their services!!! If you're in need of plumbing or AC services, look no further! I promise you you'll thank yourself later!

In the middle of remodeling our kitchen we discovered that our gas stove shut off valve was damaged. They were able to come out the very next day and help us make the necessary adjustments to keep our family safe and move forward with our project. They sent us a picture of the person who would be coming and gave us a little bit of their background so we knew exactly what to expect when the person showed up. He was prompt and professional definitely worth the price we paid which by far was more reasonable than any of the other quotes we received!

They ran a new water line. They did a great job. This company is super professional from top to bottom. Would definitely recommend them.

1800plumber is parked outside my apartments working on a project at 8:40 on a Saturday night. There was only one open parking spot adjacent to my apartment. I politely asked him to move, he looked at me when I said excuse me, this is the only spot, let me know when you can pull forward (literally 4 feet so I could slide into the spot). He straight up ignored me. Then, I had to stand up for myself. I said did you hear me? he said what? I had to repeat myself as if he didn't hear, nor care what I just had asked him to do - (the first time, when he tried to walk away from me). Ultimately, he pulled forward without a smile, without a single kind word. Just a huge attitude. I know it's inconvenient to move, but just be professional.

The technician called and said my garbage disposal needed to be completely replaced along with the the lines. I said I just replaced it a few years ago and that was pretty shocking news and if he knew what happened, he said he didn't and he would check it again. He called back about 10-15 min later and said that we was able to unjam the garbage disposal and that would be $250. I again asked what he thought was wrong and he said he did not know, I said it seemed pretty expensive to unjam for $250 since he did not replace anything and the labor was less than 30 min. He then said he could reduce it to $175. I just said ok but the whole thing was very shady and still do not know what the issue was and have not received an invoice of any kind.

I am the on-site manager of the Paramount Parke apartments run by Real Property Management Solutions. Over the last few days we have had a major plumbing emergency. We were sent a journeyman plumber by the name of Shawn Eddlemon.

He came here quickly and stayed late Saturday night trying to locate the issue. He made sure we were in a safe place before he stopped Saturday and came back on Sunday. On Sunday he took a huge part of his day yo fix our major leak and frankly it was awesome.

He communicated very directly with me. He was super respectful and down to earth. He didn't sugar coat anything and told me exactly what was need which I appreciate so much.

I am not a plumber so I don't know everything technical but he explained things on my level. He showed me pictures of the steps he took. He called me to fill me in when I had to step away for bits of time. I completely trust him to be here working on the units and around the building.

From now on I'll be requesting him for services in our building whenever possible.

1964 under sink galvanizes pipes leaking. Replaced.

Brandon is nice but I think their pricing is too expensive. Work to replace a section of CPVC water pipe was done within less than an hour and it cost $470.

We had a massive main line break that left our residents without water. We called 1-800 Plumber and Tara was able to assist us. She was very communicative with me through our chaos and helped with coordination. The plumbers showed up on site promptly and ready to work. They were able to access the leak and assess the situation. We needed an extra fitting that could not be located in our area, the plumber went out of his way to drive all the way to Washington to get the parts needed from the warehouse. The entire time they were professional, communicative, and overall a pleasure to work with.

We purchased a tankless hot water tank from 1800plumber. After getting three options (good, better and best) and after weighing out the options, we went with what they claimed to be the best tankless system they have.

The technician showed up on time and started the installation. We could see on the camera in the garage that he was struggling with this installation. He was seen looking up instructions and videos on how to install the new system. Over the course of 13 hours, they sent out 3 other technicians to help and finally at 10:30 that evening he had “finished”. He then handed over some parts that he did not know how to install and used some old parts from our 14 year old tank that started to leak immediately. He said the parts he couldn’t install where just for WiFi features and that he would be back the next day to fix the leaks. However, the leaks where from our old parts that he reinstalled and he said he was doing us a favor to fix it. He also had broken a cosmetic piece on the side and just threw some tape on it.

I called in the following day and explained what had happened. They sent out a new technician that was able to correct what was not installed the day before.

Neither of the technicians knew anything about the system they installed or could give us any idea of setting it up.

Jason came out to cap faucet on outside of our commercial building. Homeless people kept breaking off lock, and this time they broke off entire hose bib and water was flowing into street. My water bill has gone up $1000 month last few months because of their use. Our building is complex, and another plumbing service quoted us $4000 to fix. Jason figured out how to cap it without damaging drywall or concrete, for $500. He was very pleasant and determined to fix it. Total time about 2 hours. Really helped us.

We asked for a quote to go tankless and separate quote to install two hose bibs. Communication and scheduling was easy but I was extra impressed by the text message I got confirming my appointment and providing a picture of my plumber. We ended up only doing the hose bibs right now and the plumber went above and beyond to help us locate our water shut off before installing the bibs. Consumers be aware...this firm charges for plumbing estimates. Additionally, no services were rendered merely seeking an estimate regarding a leaking outside fwcet. Also, the receptionist called 3 times to harrassing me for money. Advised the receptionist to cease and desist, yet she called me 3 times afterwards.

Thomas Y was on time, professional, friendly, listened to my description of the issue, clearly explained different options for a fix, fixed the issue quickly, shared photos of the fix in the crawlspace, and explained possible long-term issues to be aware of. This was also a much sooner appointment than other local companies who were scheduled much farther out.

Technician was prompt, helpful, and communicated the issue to me clearly. The only issue was that I did not receive an appointment confirmation, and when I tried to call, the website transferred me to a San Antonio, TX location.

1-800Plumber and Air completed a replacement of my water lines in my basement, put in a new gas tankless water heater so we could clear some space and take out my old electric heater, and installed the wall and floor plumbing so I could have a toilet and sink in the basement. They were fast, friendly and took care of the whole process. I didn’t have them install the toilet and sink, because I am going to try to do that on my own, but they left everything clean and ready for the installation.

Dylan did an excellent job of explaining the situation, offering choices and installing a new kitchen faucet. I’m happy with the results. However, labor costs were exorbitant for the time it took to complete the job.

Overall an awful experience. I had to schedule 5 different appointments for a very simple job. I was cancelled on twice after the appointment window had passed (one of the times they cancelled an hour after they said they were on their way) and another time they showed up so late they couldn’t do any work. On top of that, I was over charged and had to get my bill adjusted and also had to have them come back because they didn’t do the work I was quoted for. It took them almost 3 weeks to complete a hose bib replacement (original appointment was on June 2nd and they completed work on June 21st). They wasted a lot of my time waiting for them to show up and customer service didn’t make any effort to make up for the bad experience.

This is the second time I have used this company for plumbing repair. The plumber was on time, worked quickly, and solved the problem.

Responsive! Scheduling was easy, and had them out the next day. Michael was excellent. He tried a simple fix first, when that didn’t fix the leak, he gave me an estimate on the spot to make the repair and complete the work. He thoroughly tested his work, showed me the faulty part and cleaned up thoroughly when he was done.

Richard arrived on time with mask on, diagnosed the problem, provided an acceptable quote, and completed the agreed upon work to my complete satisfaction. The work area was left in far cleaner condition than when Richard arrived. Nice guy to work with. Texted me shortly before arrival and included his photo so I knew who to expect at my door. Would hire again.

Dillon came out and listened to my issue, assessed the situation, tested to find a leak, and then immediately went to work fixing it. I was way overthinking the problem and he helped me find it and resolve it. The team bills hourly at $190 which was well worth the issue being fixed.

I had a few small things to look at such as a toilet, and kitchen sink as well as the water heater.

The young gentleman who came was very courteous and polite, and a great listener to the details of the problems. Very professional and thoughtful. I really liked that he explained things and tried to educate me. That shows respect for my wanting to understand and learn.

1800 Plumbers is one of the go to vendors for the company I work for. We appreciate their urgency, detail and friendly professionalism. Special shout out to Tara, who is always such a pleasure. We trust them with our clients, and I would trust them with my personal vendor needs as well!

So being a maintenance supervisor in a large apartment complex you have to deal with a lot of different vendors. Basically the good bad and the ugly. Dylan came out and went above and beyond with getting the hot water replaced and installed. Due to unforeseen circumstances he had to shut off water to the whole building and redo the valve on the water inlet to the hot water tank. It was probably the quickest I have ever seen somebody do that repair and get water return back to all of our tenants. I would highly recommend them and I plan on using them with future plumbing needs.

We unfortunately cannot recommend this business, as it cost us over $500 to have minor leaks repaired on two sink faucet handles. The plumber arrived but did not have the proper materials to do the repair (despite our fixtures being fairly standard), so left to go purchase them. He then returned an hour later and then found he did not have the right Allan wrench for the job, so left again to get that! We were billed for 2 hours of work at $200/hour, and we feel the job could have been completed much quicker if he had the proper equipment with him (bizarre that the giant truck he was driving did not contain these standard items). Also, we were told when booking the appointment that the 'dispatch fee' would be refunded if work was done. The fee WAS NOT refunded and we were later told this is only for some jobs. We could have purchased entirely new fixtures for the price we spent! Finally, we learned through this experience that this company is basically Uber for plumbers - the first to respond gets the job. So quality and price will likely be quite variable.

I knew it was a simple problem, but despite spending an hour looking on YouTube, I didn't know what the solution was. Brandon came out, explained how I could fix the hose-bib in my garage myself, charged me for the service call, and saved me time, money, and worry. I replaced the hose-bib the next day in under 5 minutes and all is well. I appreciated the education and his kindness. Will definitely keep them in mind for future plumbing problems.

Rich is very experienced and fast at identifying the root cause. He not only cleaned the clog quickly, but also helped me seal the leaking tubes under the sink with no extra charge. The overall charge is very reasonable. Rich is a really great plumber!

Michael was awesome. Showed up on time, asked a few questions then ran out to get the parts he needed to install my new dishwasher. This house is older and hadn’t had one before so he told me a few problems he’d need to solve and things to watch out for and got to work. He was quick and courteous the entire time. I was very comfortable with him and when I asked if he could give me a hand with hooking up a dryer vent tube thingy he was like, I’ll do you one better and had it properly set up in minutes. My dishwasher is running perfectly and I couldn’t be happier with the service.
