Joe just finished up with my water heater. Communication with him about the scope of work and other logistics was a breeze, responding to our questions in a very timely manner. On the date of service, Joe came down, arriving exactly at the time we agreed upon. He made thoughtful recommendations on what else we might want to do with regards to our water heater system, and completed the work quickly and correctly. I recommend Joe if you need anything done for your water heater!

Actual problem was probably beyond the scope of work, so unresolved, but its not their fault. They were pleasant, and professional, and did all that they said they would, just as they said. I would call them again, if needed. Home repairs can be strange, open-ended things, but they were very good at telling me my options and what they could and couldn't do to help me. I appreciate that.

They were great!! Less invasive than a traditional sewer repair and was the same price but my yard wasn’t nearly as torn up as it would have been. Highly recommend them!

Portland Star Plumbing was easy to work with, prompt, and very professional. They fixed a long-standing problem (incorrectly plumbed utility sink). Both service technicians observed COVID guidelines and cleaned up after themselves. We we’re very pleased, and will be hiring them to do a big job—all the plumbing for a new, above-garage apartment—this spring!

Can't recommend them highly enough. We've been using Sutherland for years. They've done everything for us from fix a leaking graywater pipe in the crawlspace, to install a new toilet and sink, to replace a leaking hose bib, to upgrade all of the turnoff valves on the sinks so we'd actually be able to use them in case of emergency. We call them every single time because they are courteous, knowledgeable, and fair with their pricing while also making sure you get the highest quality materials that won't break again in the future. I like how you can communicate with them via text before your scheduled time because they work hard to collect any necessary information IN ADVANCE of the visit, so they don't show up without the parts they need. Over the last forty years, I have used Standard Plumbing for all my plumbing requirements. They have replaced water heaters, installed toilets with handicap capabilities, did all the plumbing for my remodeled kitchen. In the kitchen , they installed an Instahot, a garbage disposal, plumbed the dishwasher and brought in water for the refrigerator ice maker and filtered water. When we prepared my in-laws old house for sale they replaced the toilets and did a very difficult replacement of a water heater installed in a small space in one of the bathrooms. They have helped me over the phone a number of times to solve problems that, they determined, I would be able to take care of myself. I called them recently because I suspected a leak in my water service. They led me through a series of steps that helped me determine that the standing water that concerned me was not a leak. I trust Standard Plumbing to take care of me when I need them.

We Remodeled a house project with them. I liked them, but they installed a water mixer on top of the hot water heater that made the tank stack and trip the shut off, so no hot water. Upon calling them, Western stated they don't repair anything related to the hot water heater and had me call a hot water heater repair company. Two months later as this had been going on the, hot water repair company finally figured out that Western had improperly installed the water mixer on top of the tank. The repair company did then fix the issue by removing the part. The repair company then charged me for the work. I told them they should be charging Western Plumbing and you would think that Western would stand behind their installation. After arguing with the owner of Western Plumbing about it he refuse to pay them, stating the county required the mixer even though they knew it would be a problem ( no one told me ) The plumbing contract was well over 35K and the charge for repair was 150.00. As a sub-contractor, business owner myself, I would think they would take care of the bill with out complaint. Not impressed and will let others know my experience,
