Best A/C System Repair in Portland OR

Called this company to investigate a leak adjacent to my driveway outside my house. First red flag was them asking how old my hot water was in the initial screening call. Tech showed up at the end of the day and gave 2 options - ~$400 leak detection service or ~$11,800 complete water main replacement, including replacing a perfectly functioning water heater INSIDE the house. How is it possible to provide a binding estimate for a job that big without even looking into where lines are located? Leak detector showed up the next day unannounced and actually seemed to know what he was doing so we agreed to the service and $385 fee. 30 minutes later he found the leak where the main line entered the house and said the plumber would call within the hour to come out and fix it, it should be an easy job. They never called back, so I reached out again on Saturday only to find out they don't work weekends, so I grabbed shovel, dug a hole and found the leak. $36 in parts and tools from home depot and an hour later I fixed it myself. If you do call these people, get another opinion and additional estimates. They're a shining example of why certain trades have a bad reputation for ripping people off. Avoid them if you can, and if you can't, get ready to be taken for a very expensive ride.

We have had an issue where we have to run our water for far too long to get either cold or hot water. I wanted to bring in someone new to review our situation and, after checking reviews, brought in Terry Massey Plumbing. Terry and his son came in and in and, in the process of checking out the water lines, determined that the duct work for our dryer was totally shot and needed to be replaced. We set up an appointment to run a hot water line to the kitchen sink AND replace the duct work. I'll attach photos later showing how bad the duct pipes were- unbelievable and not something that the home inspector had caught when we bought the house just 2 years ago or, for that matter, the company we brought in to clean all the ducts sometime after we moved in. My wife and I are very grateful to Terry Massey Plumbing for finding this and bringing it to our attention. So the duct work has been replaced, a new hot water line to the kitchen sink- everything done on time and per their quote- and we're quite happy!

Bradley came this morning to fix a clogged drain. He did a great job. Explained what needed to be done, quickly solved the problem, left a jug of solution to prevent further clogs, and made some additional suggestions to keep things flowing. The only reason I only have 4 stars was that I called yesterday around 4:30 PM, was told someone would be here within a couple of hours. At 8 PM I got a call that they had been delayed, and would again be here in two hours. I told them to come this morning instead.
