Stan is fantastic to work with! We called after 5 when we realized our situation seemed like more of an emergency than we realized. We’d booked another plumber minutes before 5 but the phone just rang when we called back. Stan didn’t have to but he took time to talk through the scenario with my husband and was out the next day with his son to fix a broken flange and install a toilet for us. It started as a simple problem - the pilot light on our two-year-old Rheem water heater went out, and I couldn’t get it to re-light and stay on. I called Benjamin Franklin, who installed the water heater two years ago. They sent out Ben Masquelier, and I’m glad they did! Ben diagnosed the problem as a faulty gas control valve. Apparently the gas control valve on Rheem water heaters manufactured in 2000 tend to have problems. Ben first tried to locate a replacement gas control valve in Dallas, and then ordered one directly from Rheem to be delivered to our house for Ben to install. It turns out that that gas control valve was on back-order with Rheem. Since we had been without hot water for three days at this point, Ben said that he would replace the entire water heater, still within the original ten-year warranty period. He came out the same day that he learned that the part was back-ordered. Ben and his partner Logan expertly installed an entirely new Rheem water heater, with a newer gas control valve. Throughout this process, we appreciate Ben’s professionalism and expertise, and we appreciate Ben’s concern that my wife and I have our hot water restored. Thank you, Benjamin Franklin Plumbing!

Learned that I had a gas leak and Atmos shut off gas in the evening. Called Kent at Tank Yankers Plumbing and he came out the very next morning. He stayed with the project until we found the leak and repaired it immediately. He took care of talking with the city inspectors, permits, etc so gas was turned back on as soon as possible. He came to fix one toilet; I gave him two and he took great care of me. I had quoted with another company back in May and they wanted to take advantage of me.
