We've had Alex come out twice for some plumbing work because we liked working with him so much the first time! First time was just some work under the sink and the second time was replacing our water softener.
First off, he is SUPER responsive. Every time we reached out via email we heard back within a day, sometimes within an hour. Super speedy, something that doesn't feel too common in the trades.
Very punctual as well. Said he'd show up at a time, was there exactly on time.
He also answers questions without complaint, whether that is questions before the work is done or follow-ups after. Just a great source of knowledge.
Finally, his pricing for the work felt really fair.
Definitely our go-to plumber when the need arises.

Norblom was the first plumber I called. Jim was friendly, professional, and very helpful on the phone. He gave me a decent idea of what to expect for the repairs I might need based on my novice description of the symptoms. He also provided what turned out to be a pretty spot on range of what I should be prepared to spend (of which they actually came in on the low end of the range.) Being a pragmatic person, I called some other plumbers, because I did not want to just go with the first place I talked to. what a waste of time that was! No one else even came close to how courteous and helpful Jim at Norblom was. So I called Norblom back to book service and I got a different person on the phone. She was also very helpful and friendly and when I told her I had talked to someone else earlier she got me back on the phone with Jim. I was able to get someone out to our house in 3 days, which was great as the pipe repair was not necessarily an emergency but something I wanted fixed asap.
The plumber, Alex, was on time, very friendly, and did a wonderful job figuring out the issue and getting to right to work. I had done some prep work to control the dust in our finished basement as I knew they would have to break up the cement floor. Alex appreciated that I had done that work myself and saved him the time and trouble of controlling the dust/mess.
Alex explained the issues very well and gave me options without being pushy or trying to upsell product or services to pad the bill. He listened to my requests and followed through with great service and an excellent attitude.
The cherry on top is he finished with time to spare! He was scheduled to be at my house all day but finished in about 4 house even tho he had to go out for a part because my 1940’s house had an irregular sized pipe (time was deducted from my bill). When he was almost ready to leave, I pulled the ol’ by the way could you look at something else? Certainly frustrating for any service person! He was consistent with his professional and courteous manner and said no problem, let’s take a look.
We were not getting adequate pressure when running hot water in the shower. He was very knowledgeable of the fixtures and was able to disassemble and troubleshoot the issue and quickly find the problem. I should mention, I have had other people tell me to save money I should just to replace the fixtures myself. I am glad I didn’t do that myself because the fixtures were actually fine and the obstruction was in the hot water line before the fixture. My wife now has sufficient water pressure in her shower and somehow I came to be the hero… Alex should get all of the credit but I’ll take what I can get. Thanks again, Alex!
Overall 10/10 would recommend!

Update on April 18, 2023: I had Brent D out for plumbing issues, and once again, the service was excellent. I’ve used Erickson a handful of times since my previous review and they continue to impress. Brent was awesome, explained my issues to me, kept to the quote, and did a fabulous job.

Everything from start to finish was a fabulous experience. I was very stressed out when I called initially as my water heater rusted out on a Sunday morning and my basement was flooded. I called and was quoted the usual pricey emergency quote and I couldn't afford it, but they called me back soon thereafter and talked me out of my panic mode by helping me solve the immediate issue so I can wait until Monday for normal service. Just for this, I was so thankful.

The tech - Mike P - showed up on time, stuck to their quote, went above and beyond with their repair, and was polite the entire journey. Definitely will use their service again. The technician was really cool and friendly as well. Wonderful experience for sure - despite the fact it all stemmed from a crumby emergency situation. Everyone I worked with was fantastic.

John came out to my house in Edina several times to make sure we got all the correct information before starting the job. He was excellent to work with and very professional through every step of the process. We added a new master bathroom and replaced our old water heater with a new eternal tankless water heater. The work is great quality and John was willing to answer any questions we had along the way.
I have already recommended him to several friends looking to do renovations.

My biggest complaint is John Anderson did not decline the call when I told him what was wrong. Once he got here he stated he do not work on appliances and he classified a water softener as an appliance. He should have declined before taking the job since it was very obvious that he had no clue how to fix the softener and were not prepared to repair it.

John stated he would be arriving shortly after noon he arrived after four (after noon but not shortly)

He did not have me turn on the water to diagnose the problem he made an assumption it was an O-ring ( I think it was but not the one he thought)

He had me disassemble the water softener

He did not replace the O-ring you returned the same O-ring.

He needed help reassembling the unit I am not sure what he would have done if I was not there.

He was more interested in apparent low water pressure in the kitchen sink than fixing the leaking water softener.

And after all that he had the gall to charge a $150 service charge. That was a least part my fault since I did not ask about the fee. But I also think that fee is steep especially for the work or lack thereof he did not do. I don’t have a problem paying service fees but for what you did I would have expected a discount on that fee.

Fantastic customer service - end-to-end. They were also the most reasonable option for mini splits. I highly recommend this company!

The tech Curt was knowledgeable and courteous and was in and out in no time. Highly recommend.

They did a great job. On time easy to work with. Would recommend to anyone!

Expert advice and work.

We had a pipe burst in the basement ceiling late at night. We received a call back right away from Gracie (who was excellent) and Max arrived the next morning on time and prepared. He offered multiple solutions from a cost prospective and also made suggestions on early repairs for a potential future problem. He was efficient, neat, pleasant and very helpful. He did a great job repairing our problem and left the area neat and clean when he left.

Josh B. and Josh D. were extremely professional. They were friendly and helpful with any questions or concerns I had throughout the AC installation. My kids were very curious throughout the installation and both Josh and Josh were playful with them. Working with Minneapolis Saint Paul Plumbing/Heating/Air was a great decision. I would highly recommend them.

Had our water heater and a couple of valves replaced at a fair price and quickly. I would highly recommend Paul

Steve is great to work with. He is very professional, friendly and helped us at a late hour when most plumbers were all booked for the night. His prices are reasonable and he will teach you how to prevent things and improve them. I highly recommend his services!

We had this plumber come over for a fairly routine, uncomplicated repair, and he came over within a couple hours, and fixed it perfectly in less than 30 minutes. We felt he charged us a bit much for the the work, when we explained our dissatisfaction he actually volunteered to make it right and he did!

Charged us $100.00 for a service call to attend to a leaky refrigerator. Did not have the needed parts and said they would order and return. 10 weeks and many unreturned phone calls later we gave up and called Thomas Service Company. Thomas Service Company had parts available and fixed frig in under 15 minutes.
Plus Maintenance is unreliable and unprofessional and we would never use them again nor recommend.
