Best Emergency Repair in Minneapolis MN

I called TJK last week for a non emergency service, I needed my water heater moved to a different spot for an upcoming basement remodel, and they scheduled a time right then for the next week. The day before they texted a confirmation and the day of they were right on time and got the work done quickly. Would definitely recommend.

If I could put 0 stars I would. We were out of town and our brand new boiler/water heater stopped working in winter. We called the 24 hour emergency number and the repair person had no idea how to fix the issue and just left. We saw on our Ring doorbell that the repair person was talking behind our backs about how we were being irrational about the situation. How unbelievable.Revised: I would not recommend standard heating for boiler installation or services. Their sales and scheduling were unprofessional and rude. The installation went smoothly, but we have already had 2 issues with them in the first 5 months. When we needed them the most they did not have adequate solutions and were caught being rude and talking behind our backs. One issue was an installation error that cause water to leak down the exaust into our basement, which they promptly resolved. The other issue was when the boiler stopped working in 15 degree weather just 3 months into the winter season after purchase. We called the 24 hour emergency number and the they sent a junior technician who could not diagnose the issue and he refused to call a supervisor or manager when asked. He said there was nothing they could do and left a couple small space heaters which only heated one room of the house up to 50 degrees. The repair person stormed off mid convorsation when I was talking to him, and we saw on our Ring doorbell that the repair person was talking behind our backs about how we were being irrational about the situation. How unbelievable. We later found out when they sent a senior technician the next day that it was a gas issue. They apologized for not being able to diagnose the obvious issue and left us without heat over night, but that did not change the situation they left us in and made us question their knowledge of gas appliances.

Right off the bat when talking to the scheduler/operator I had a feeling this place was not at all professional. When the tech arrived with tools in a bucket I didn't feel any better.

And then the time came for the fix...
The tech didn't have a handle puller to pull my shower faucet handle off. I stupidly agreed to pay a visit fee of $80 on the weekend. I regretted it right away because the tech had no shot to fix the problem, not having the tool to get past step one.

Don't go with this place. Absolutely no reason to pick them over an Eric Nelson Plumbing or Athena or Burnomatic or Uptown Plumbing.

Didn't get the refund I was after either,
A week later (Saturday) I called them to ask for some sort of refund. The person on the other end said it was busy that Easter weekend and told me they'd look into it and call me back on Tuesday. It's now the following Monday and I never got a call. Called them and ranted as politely as I could. He offered me 10% off my next plumbing job with them. Ha.

I have never hired a plumber for anything before. And I've heard horror stories from people about their plumber experiences and pricing. So I was pleasantly surprised how quickly Dan was able to come out to my house - the day after we connected - to provide an estimate. He arrived on time (I received texts, letting me know he was en route, so I didn't have to sit around waiting during his 2-hour arrival window), and I walked him through my needs: repairing a water pipe and running a water line to my new refrigerator. He then prepared an estimate with three options, so I could see all that he recommended and choose what would work best for my preferences/budget. He got right to work and completed the task the same morning! He was friendly, explained everything to me, and was just a pleasure to have helping me through this project. I will absolutely hire Service Star Plumbing (and, specifically, Dan!) in the future.

The young man that came was friendly fast and efficient he wasn’t afraid of dogs even cranky old dogs even fed them treats such a sweet kid gave us some tips on things he thought in the future we should do I will definitely use this company again and would recommend others to use them also their rates are pretty competitive to others I’ve used in the past just don’t look at the add on the internet that says it’s $94.00 for any drain cleaning it’s not for your secondary drain it’s $169.00 other wise I like the young man that came out and that’s more important to me good customer service

I called early in the morning and by 3 pm Pablo and his team arrived and cleaned our main drain. They were professional, on-time, and super friendly. Definitely recommend them!

Charged us $100.00 for a service call to attend to a leaky refrigerator. Did not have the needed parts and said they would order and return. 10 weeks and many unreturned phone calls later we gave up and called Thomas Service Company. Thomas Service Company had parts available and fixed frig in under 15 minutes.
Plus Maintenance is unreliable and unprofessional and we would never use them again nor recommend.
